Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Peace and Quiet

"With my brother here, they won’t get away with anything."

Tiana had barely finished speaking when the sounds of smashing and arguing erupted from outside, followed by the sight of numerous burly men in black emerging from several vans.

They marched menacingly toward the Grayson family’s estate. And though the man leading them was some distance away, Mika Summers could still see him clearly—it was Sheldon Rhodes, the man who had been monitoring her near her home.

Tiana looked terrified, her body trembling slightly. She gripped Mika’s hand, her voice shaking as she stammered, "It’s starting, Mika..."

"It’s okay. Your brother is here. Nothing will happen." Seeing Tiana like this, Mika Summers frowned in confusion. ’Tiana seems off, but I can’t quite put my finger on why.’

"Mm." Of course, she knew nothing would happen. It was just that the incident with her grandfather years ago had left a deep scar on her. Whenever she saw people arguing or fighting, a panic would rise from the bottom of her heart, and her whole body would tense up involuntarily.

She could clearly feel Tiana’s hand trembling in hers. Worried, she said, "Tiana, why don’t we go lie down on the bed?"

But Tiana just shook her head, her eyes glued to the scene below. This was the thrilling moment when the Grayson Family would suppress and drive out that bunch of leeches; how could she miss it?

Mika Summers said no more and just stayed with Tiana to watch. A moment later, she saw Tristan Grayson walk into the courtyard, his hands in his pockets.

Behind him was the group of so-called Grayson relatives—those leeches—all too terrified to make a sound.

Tristan Grayson said something to them, and they quickly nodded, agreeing with obsequious smiles. Tristan walked almost to the main gate before stopping and making a gesture for them to leave.

Seeing them escorted out of the Grayson family’s main gate, Tiana Grayson finally let out a sigh of relief, and the color returned to her face.

She took Mika Summers’s hand and said with a smile, "Mika, the house is so much quieter now. Let’s go out." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

"Okay."

...Tiana was right. The Grayson home really was much quieter now. When they went out, they no longer saw any of those strangers.

Only her father-in-law, mother-in-law, and Tristan were sitting on the living room sofa.

Her mother-in-law was the first to look up at them. She forced a smile onto her pale face. "Tiana, Amelia, you weren’t scared just now, were you?"

Hearing Mae Lynch’s words, Tristan Grayson also looked up, his gaze complicated as he looked at the woman standing not far away.

Tiana Grayson just shook her head without saying anything.

Seeing her daughter’s reaction, Mae Lynch guessed that she must have been scared. She sighed and said angrily, "They are absolutely shameless! I knew we shouldn’t have let them off so easily!"

"Don’t be angry. They’re still relatives, after all. If we go too far, we’ll become a laughingstock."

"Caleb Grayson! Back then, you were afraid of being laughed at, and you’re still afraid of being laughed at now! Is saving face that important? Besides, with the Grayson Family’s status today, who in Tridell would dare to laugh at us! It’s them! They’re the ones who caused our daughter to... ever since she was a child..."

Seeing her parents arguing, Tiana Grayson’s body trembled again. She held back her tears and quickly interrupted what her mother was about to say. "No! Mika and I didn’t hear anything! Mom, Dad, please stop fighting." After speaking, Tiana forcefully tugged on Mika Summers’s sleeve, signaling for her to say something.
