Chapter 80: Chapter 80: A Generous Gift

Just as Una Sullivan smiled, nodded, and was about to speak.

A dog suddenly started barking outside. "WOOF, WOOF... WOOF..."

Hearing the sound, Una Sullivan looked at Archie Summers. "Archie, is someone here?"

"Who would come at this hour?" Joseph Summers said dismissively.

Archie Summers frowned slightly, then smiled. "Dad’s right. No one ever comes here." He had bought this villa precisely because it was hard to find, and the lack of traffic guaranteed some peace and quiet.

The moment Archie Summers finished speaking, a tall man in a black suit hurried over.

"Boss..."

Seeing Howard Rhodes, Archie Summers’s face darkened. ’So someone really did come,’ he thought, ’and it’s most likely the one person I least want to see.’ He raised a hand, stopping Howard Rhodes from saying another word, then stood up and led him away.

Once they were out of the living room, Howard Rhodes lowered his voice and said, "Mr. Grayson is here."

Archie Summers gave a cold smile. "Heh, so he dares to show up at my door." 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

"Mr. Grayson says he’s here to take Miss Summers back."

"Not a chance."

Outside the villa, Tristan Grayson leaned against his car, staring at the luxurious mansion before him.

’If I only suspected before that Archie Summers might be that Valerim CEO from Austerra, now I’m absolutely certain.’

’The proof is this very villa. A property like this starts at a minimum of 600 million.’

’I had once considered buying it as a marital home for me and Maggie Monroe after she recovered. But now... heh, someone else has snatched it away.’

With his hands in his pockets, Archie Summers walked unhurriedly toward Tristan Grayson.

A cold smirk played on Tristan Grayson’s lips. ’The CEO of X Group? The president of a newly public company dares to be this arrogant? Even if he’s been making waves in Austerra for the past two years, this isn’t Austerra. This is Valerim—and more specifically, Tridell. In Valerim, in Tridell, it will never be Archie Summers’s turn to act so high and mighty.’

"Young Master Grayson, surely you didn’t come all this way just to see my Mika, did you? Heh... I suppose that’s unlikely. After all, Young Master Grayson has never once given a damn about her." Archie Summers knew exactly why Tristan Grayson was here, but he asked anyway. He wanted to see just how good Tristan Grayson’s acting was.

’Tristan Grayson abandoned Mika today and made her cry her heart out. He will make him pay for this.’

Tristan Grayson sneered back. "I’m afraid I don’t understand what you’re implying, Mr. Summers. I’m here to take my wife home. Is there anything more normal than that?"

"Heh... True... But, tsk... A new son-in-law visiting his in-laws... showing up empty-handed... isn’t that a bit improper...?"

The implication was crystal clear. Tristan Grayson, however, didn’t seem particularly angry. He simply pulled out his phone and called Sheldon Rhodes, telling him to prepare some lavish gifts and bring them over at once.

Archie Summers’s eyes remained narrowed as he smiled at Tristan Grayson.

Sheldon Rhodes was fast. He delivered the gifts in just twenty minutes.

Tristan Grayson looked at the gift boxes filling Sheldon Rhodes’s arms. With a hint of impatience, he said coolly, "Now, can I take my wife home?" The only reason he hadn’t gotten angry and had simply told Sheldon to prepare the gifts was because this family would, sooner or later, be his family in name. Even if he had no desire to be related to Archie Summers, he still had to show respect to the two elders inside.
