Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 66: Shopping Mall
After about half an hour, Mika Summers finally came out.
When Mika Summers saw Tristan Grayson sitting in the back seat smoking, she stopped in her tracks. A flurry of complex, sorrowful emotions flashed through her eyes.
’Mika Summers, oh, Mika Summers, are you really so hopeless? No matter what terrible things Tristan Grayson does to you, the moment you see him, you’re completely captivated. That fluttering in your heart is always the first thing to surface.’
’Mika, haven’t you been tormented enough by him? Why do you have to like him so much?’
’Shouldn’t you hate him? He stripped you of your last shred of dignity. Why do you still like him? Why?’
After finishing his cigarette, Tristan Grayson looked at the woman standing dumbly outside the car. He frowned and said coldly, "Get in the car."
"..." Swallowing the pain in her heart, she forced herself into the car with a pained expression and sat down beside Tristan Grayson.
"Henry Archer, head to the mall first," Tristan Grayson said faintly, leaning back in his seat.
"Yes, boss." Up front, Henry Archer was practically dying of excitement. He was, after all, in the same car as the boss’s long-hidden "delicate wife."
’That Lily Shaw was always showing off in front of him, bragging that she knew the boss’s woman and was his most trusted person. But that girl had no idea. What was a Maggie Monroe? She was just some mistress who couldn’t be seen in public, a secret lover who would never in her life set foot in the Grayson Family’s home.’
’No, maybe she didn’t even count as a secret lover. At most, she was just a sickly stray cat the boss had taken in out of the kindness of his heart.’
’He, however, stood firmly on the side of the Chairman and his wife. He was the only one who knew exactly how Maggie Monroe had schemed her way onto the film set and used her tricks to ensnare the boss.’
’The boss was blinded, but he wasn’t. Yet, he couldn’t tell the boss any of this. He’d tried to warn him once before and ended up getting yelled at for a solid two hours, with the boss pointing right at his face. He’d even had half a month’s pay docked. After that, he never dared to meddle in anything concerning the boss and Maggie Monroe again.’
The car soon arrived at the mall. Just as he did every time they visited the Grayson Family, Tristan Grayson got out first, then gallantly helped her out of the car.
She gave a bitter, mocking smile. But she knew she had no choice but to play along.
She looped her arm through Tristan Grayson’s and walked stiffly toward the mall entrance.
Tristan Grayson was a celebrity, so from the moment he stepped into the mall, he became the center of attention.
Everyone was taking pictures of them with their phones.
When she saw everyone taking pictures, the composure she had struggled to maintain shattered. Her expression instantly darkened. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
She couldn’t be like Tristan Grayson, who remained so composed while being photographed. He even flashed a textbook "warm-and-gentle" smile—one she had never seen before.
’That smile stung her eyes. Tristan Grayson, you really are suited for acting, born to be an actor.’
’How could he smile like that when he was with someone he despised so much?’
Tristan Grayson naturally sensed the displeasure from the woman beside him. He leaned close to her ear and murmured in his low, pleasant voice, "What’s wrong? Unhappy?"
She looked up, flushing with anger and embarrassment. "I wouldn’t dare. If you’re going to buy something, just get it over with."
"Mm..." Tristan Grayson didn’t seem to get angry at her tone. He just hummed in response, unhooked her hand from his arm, and intertwined his fingers with hers instead, leading her toward the women’s apparel section.
