Chapter 64: Chapter 64: Husband and Wife

Tristan Grayson wasn’t at all surprised that Archie Summers knew about his relationship with Mika Summers. Instead, he turned and pulled the dazed, naked woman on the floor behind him to her feet. "I’m afraid I can’t grant Mr. Summers’s wish. Miss Summers and I are a legally married couple, meant to spend the rest of our lives together. How could I possibly do as Mr. Summers demands?"

"Tristan Grayson, don’t think I don’t know the shady dealings in your entertainment industry. If you truly loved Mika, why haven’t you announced your marriage for the past three years? And with your resources, how could you let the woman you love live in a place like that? Also, I will find out who that woman in the hospital is. You’d better pray you haven’t done anything to betray Mika. Otherwise, I’ll make you regret it."

The smile on Tristan Grayson’s face froze the moment he heard the words "that woman." He gripped his phone tightly, his tone instantly turning icy. "Mr. Summers, I suggest you stay out of my business."

Without waiting for Archie Summers to respond, Tristan Grayson hung up. He shoved the phone into Mika Summers’s hand and left the room without a single glance in her direction.

Mika Summers held the phone, her mind reeling. She had completely forgotten to cry.

Tristan Grayson’s words kept echoing in her head. ’I’m afraid I can’t grant Mr. Summers’s wish. Miss Summers and I are a legally married couple, meant to spend the rest of our lives together. How could I possibly do as Mr. Summers demands?’

’So, my brother knows about my relationship with Tristan Grayson.’

Suddenly, she shot to her feet, panicked and utterly lost. 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

’What am I going to do? I married Tristan Grayson in secret. How am I going to explain this to Mom and Dad? How can I possibly make my brother understand?’

’And it’s not just that I got married—I’m divorced, too.’

’At only twenty-five, I’m already on my second marriage.’

’If Mom and Dad find out, they’ll kill me.’

Tristan Grayson stood by the living room window. After a few moments alone to compose himself, some of his anger finally subsided.

Since he’d decided to be with this woman, it was about time he met her family. And he might as well meet his so-called brother-in-law while he was at it.

It would be a good opportunity to teach his arrogant brother-in-law that no one in this world—aside from his own family—could threaten Tristan Grayson. He also needed to make it crystal clear that this was Valerim, not Austerra...

He turned, grabbed his phone, and sent a text to Henry Archer before heading back to the bedroom.

When he got to the bedroom, he found her huddled on the floor, still naked, hugging her knees with red-rimmed eyes.

He couldn’t stand seeing her like this, acting as if she’d suffered some great injustice.

The anger he had just managed to suppress flared up again. He strode over, and without a word, yanked her up from the floor. "Don’t you dare put on this pathetic act for me. Do you have any idea how disgusting you look right now?"

"Tristan Grayson, we’re already divorced! Why won’t you just let me go?" ’Why did he have to tell my brother we were married? By doing this, he’s completely destroyed my last shred of hope.’

’Without love, at least I still had my family. But now? Now I don’t even have them anymore. After what he’s done, how can I ever face my parents again?’
