Divorce, Please: The Young Master Does Not Love Me-Chapter 27: Tenant
She looked at her brother with a deeply wronged expression. "I’ve been wronged! Bro, you’re the one who started having doubts, alright?" He was the one, after all, who had brought up the topic of them not being biological siblings.
"Haven’t seen you in a few years, and you’ve gotten bold, huh? You even dare to tease your own big brother now."
Mika Summers held back a laugh, feigning seriousness. She raised her hands in an imitation of an old-fashioned bow and said, "I wouldn’t dare. This humble little sister would never dare to tease her big brother."
"Oho, you’re getting bolder by the minute!" Archie Summers stroked his chin mischievously, sizing up his little sister.
"Pfft... The car’s here..." In the end, Mika Summers couldn’t hold it in and burst out laughing.
The moment Archie Summers saw the taxi arrive, the devil-may-care look on his face vanished. He put on a more composed, though not overly serious, expression and followed her into the car.
Nearby, Tristan Grayson, who had been secretly filming, finished his video recording the very moment they got into the car together.
Watching their car pull away, he gave a cold smile, saved the video with satisfaction, and started his own car. It wasn’t long before he had caught up to them.
With his eyes on their car, he slammed his foot on the accelerator. With a WHOOSH, he overtook the taxi. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
He already had what he wanted, so there was no longer any need to keep tailing them.
Therefore, his top priority now was to go home and wait for this woman to walk right into his trap.
Mika Summers and Archie Summers went out for dinner. By the time they got home, it was nearly 12:30 a.m.
The moment she opened the door, led Archie Summers inside, and flipped on the lights, she froze.
Because there was a man sitting on the sofa!
The man’s arms were crossed over his chest, his face dark with rage. His murderous gaze was fixed straight ahead.
Even without saying a word, his presence was enough to fill the entire room with an oppressive aura.
Mika Summers’s expression turned incredibly grim. Staring at the man on the sofa, she was at a complete loss for words.
Tristan Grayson, for his part, remained silent. He didn’t even glance up in Mika Summers’s direction, simply staring daggers at the empty air before him.
Archie Summers, however, was the first to react and speak up. "Mika, who is he?"
Hearing her brother’s question, Mika Summers’s expression darkened even further. She glanced from the man on the sofa to her brother’s suspicious face. Her own features stiffened as she struggled to speak. "He’s..." ’How am I supposed to explain this?’ she thought. ’Ex-husband? A friend? It feels like we aren’t anything to each other.’
"Oh! I get it! He’s your boyfriend, right?" Archie Summers clapped his hands, a sudden realization dawning on him. "Mika, I knew you had a boyfriend, but you wouldn’t admit it. Now I’ve caught you red-handed, haven’t I?"
’Boyfriend?’ As soon as her brother said the word, she could practically feel the man’s dissatisfaction and rage radiating from the sofa. She quickly grabbed Archie Summers’s hand and explained, "No, he’s not my boyfriend!"
To Tristan Grayson, however, her panicked denial just sounded like she was flustered because her crush had just discovered she had a boyfriend.
Archie Summers frowned, unconvinced. "Then who is he? Why is he here, and how does he have a key to your place?" Seeing how nervous Mika was, he knew something was definitely up.
’He’s right,’ she thought. ’If he isn’t my boyfriend, why would he have a key to my place?’
Mika Summers’s expression was pained; she had no idea how to explain.
Suddenly, she remembered the plot of a TV show she’d watched a couple of days ago and blurted out, "A tenant! He’s a tenant!"
"A tenant?"
Hearing her words, Tristan Grayson’s eye twitched, and the rage on his face intensified. ’She dares to call me a tenant,’ he thought. ’Good. Just perfect!’
