Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Biological

"What can I say? Your big brother’s just got irresistible charm." Archie blushed at his sister’s comment, but he had to play it cool.

She drew out her words intentionally. "Oh yeees, my brother is *so* charming! Beautiful women just adore him wherever he goes!"

"You little brat! Getting bold enough to make fun of your own brother now, are you?"

Mika Summers covered her mouth to stifle her laughter. "I would never..."

But her laugh lasted only a moment before she froze. It felt like it had been a very long time since she’d been able to laugh so freely.

"What’s wrong?" Archie asked, deeply concerned when he saw his sister’s expression suddenly turn serious.

She forced a smile. "It’s nothing. Weren’t you hungry, Bro? Let’s go get something to eat."

"Now that you mention it, I’d almost forgotten. I actually am pretty hungry," Archie said, scratching his head with a goofy grin.

"Let’s go."

"Yeah." Archie nodded, went back to grab his luggage, and followed his sister out.

The three beauties watched from the sidelines, completely stunned. ’So... that guy and girl are *actually* brother and sister?’

"Mika, fess up. You really haven’t had any plastic surgery?" Archie asked as he walked beside Mika Summers. He couldn’t stop staring at his little sister’s gorgeous face; he just couldn’t believe it was really her.

Mika Summers rolled her eyes at him, exasperated. "No!"

"That can’t be right! With a face like that, you don’t look like Mom *or* Dad!" Archie said, his suspicion growing.

After a moment’s thought, Mika Summers chuckled. "Bro, have you ever looked in a mirror?"

"Of course I have. Your brother here looks in it every single day." Every morning, he would spend a good ten or twenty minutes in front of the mirror, wondering how such a handsome man could possibly exist.

"Then Bro, haven’t you ever suspected yourself? You don’t look like Mom or Dad either." ’She clearly took after him, but there was no way she was going to say it! She wasn’t about to stroke his ego.’

"You know, Mika, if you hadn’t brought it up, I never would’ve realized. Tell me, Mika, how could someone as handsome as me possibly be their biological child?"

At her brother’s words, Mika Summers felt her patience fray. "You’re right. How could I possibly have a biological brother as narcissistic as you? So, Bro, you’re definitely adopted."

... On the side of the road, inside a silver-gray Audi R8, Tristan Grayson suddenly sat bolt upright. He raised his phone, aimed it at the man and woman on the sidewalk, and snapped a photo.

’So she *was* meeting her lover after all.’

’Excellent. Daring to cheat during our contractual period...’ A cold sneer touched his lips, his eyes filled with contempt.

Just then, after his debate with his sister about their parentage, Archie decided to call their dad to verify...

However, the moment the words left his mouth, he heard his dad’s furious roar. "You little punk, I dare you to say that again!"

"Uh, well, I was just asking... Dad, if you don’t want to tell me the truth, you don’t have to. But anyway, whether you and Mom are my biological parents or not, I’ll still be a good son to you both," Archie said nervously in a hushed voice.

"You little punk! If I’m not your real dad, then what? Did you pop out of a rock?! You’d better not come home! If you dare show your face, see if I don’t break your legs!"

Standing nearby, Mika Summers couldn’t hold it in any longer. Showing a complete lack of sibling solidarity, she burst out laughing.

Seeing this, Archie quickly hung up the phone.

He shot a furious glare at his sister. "What are you laughing at? This is all your fault!"
