Divine Beast Creator-Chapter 1939 - 1940: Environmental Issues
"Inappropriate? Are you referring to its hidden injuries? That’s a common issue among wild Spirit Beasts."
Scratching his head, Feng Yuan didn’t quite understand what Tamur meant as the latter circled around the Xiaoyan wolf and said,
"Don’t you think it might be perfect for the breeding park you’re preparing?"
"Uh...not suitable, the Xiaoyan wolf is too precious. If it shows up in the breeding park, even for temporary treatment, it could cause chaos for me. Better forget it."
Understanding Tamur’s suggestion, Feng Yuan replied helplessly. He wasn’t worried about the source of Spirit Beasts needing treatment. After all, if the official department of Maomu City got involved, finding suitable wild Spirit Beasts would be relatively easy.
If he took the Xiaoyan wolf there, it would stir up a lot of excitement. Such a rare Spirit Beast appearing in the breeding park would certainly attract unwanted attention.
Seeing Feng Yuan say this, Tamur released the Xiaoyan wolf, which floated back to Feng Yuan’s side, barking discontentedly at Tamur. Evidently, the Xiaoyan wolf was very angry about Tamur’s previous actions.
The patrolman looked at Feng Yuan warily and said,
"A breeding park? You shouldn’t capture wild Spirit Beasts from the wild to supplement the numbers, right?"
"Well, this matter..."
Feng Yuan gave a simple explanation, casually revealing Tamur’s identity. He was not afraid of being misunderstood, mainly not wanting to cause trouble. Evidently, the Xiaoyan wolf had settled here for some reason, and if not clarified, Liao Yu might come over to investigate.
After listening to Feng Yuan’s explanation, the patrolman understood the situation. Although Tamur had not been officially registered with a special certificate, he had heard of Feng Yuan, so he knew Feng Yuan was probably not lying.
At the very least, the fact that Tamur is a Divine Beast must be true. Otherwise, the Divine Beast beside him would have been furious long ago.
"So, is this Xiaoyan wolf part of a group? If not, sending it to a place suitable for their lifestyle might be better."
Looking at the Xiaoyan wolf hiding behind the patrolman, Feng Yuan thought for a moment and said, although it was a bit harsh to say so, this place was ultimately not suitable for Xiaoyan wolves. If there was a group, perhaps something special was attracting them in the cave depths.
"They are quite a large group, and I hope you won’t leak this matter, as... people are unpredictable."
The patrolman sighed, saying. Although he didn’t elaborate, Feng Yuan could understand about the Xiaoyan wolf group through his channels. Furthermore, he didn’t see the greed he disliked in the three people.
Dou Yanlan frowned and said,
"Why... do you always encounter such bizarre things?"
Qi Chen glanced at Dou Yanlan and Feng Yuan, puzzled as to why Dou Yanlan would say such a thing. Rolling his eyes, Feng Yuan said grumpily,
"What has that to do with me? It’s just a coincidence! I didn’t know there would be a Xiaoyan wolf group here. Although the Xiaoyan wolves are strong, they are not our priority."
The Xiaoyan wolves didn’t have high compatibility with Qi Chen and Dou Yanlan. As for Feng Yuan? He wanted more to see if he could get a heavy tank-like ride like Xiao Hui, as for Xiaoyan wolves?
To evolve to a rideable level, it would probably take reaching the Legendary Level first.
Growling softly, the Xiaoyan wolf was clearly displeased with Feng Yuan’s words, feeling he was belittling their group!
Unfortunately, Xiao Ji easily suppressed the Common Level Xiaoyan wolf. Veronia laughed softly and said,
"Perhaps, it can’t be called a coincidence, maybe it’s just curiosity causing trouble~"
"It seems... not wrong?"
Qi Chen thought for a moment with a strange expression looking at Feng Yuan because, if not for his curiosity about the Fluffy Dog group, he wouldn’t have researched the platform, and naturally wouldn’t have encountered the Xiaoyan wolf in this cave. However, from their words, encountering a Xiaoyan wolf didn’t seem a good thing?
After a moment of hesitation, Qi Chen asked,
"Isn’t it good for the Xiaoyan wolves to be here?"
"How should I say this, you probably remember the Xiaoyan wolf’s habitat, right? If they just accidentally ended up here, that wouldn’t be much of an issue, but if a whole complete group lives here, it’s basically certain there’s a suitable habitat for them.
Saying this, Feng Yuan looked at the patrolman and said,
"But there’s a problem. It’s not about the scarcity of mountaintops. The ’rock’ in Xiaoyan wolves’ name isn’t random; their environment is inseparable from rocks, even naturally congregated energy within rock mountains. This place from its exterior doesn’t satisfy the needs of a Xiaoyan wolf’s living environment."
Sighing, Feng Yuan said helplessly,
"So, their presence here can only mean there’s a very unique internal environment in the cave, unique enough for them to overlook the external conditions’ requirements. Plus, the special energy... actually, I’m worried it might be related to Kastantos."
Considering that ancient ruins involving peak power are hard to separate from the Mythical Era and Kastantos, Feng Yuan hoped there were no Kastantos ruins here.
Just joking, ancient ruins from the Mythical Era aren’t trivial things; any issues with such stuff can cause significant disturbances.
The patrolman laughed hearing Feng Yuan, "Maybe you’re a bit too sensitive, their habitat is an underground cavern, which might make it seem special."
Veronia stared at the patrolman for a long moment, noticing he didn’t seem to be lying, and turned to Tamur saying,
"What do you say? Xiaoyan wolves’ special energy isn’t something a normal underground cavern could possess~"
Tamur spun in place and said,
"I’m unsure, but it might be a coincidence."
Though Tamur was a Divine Beast of the era, corresponding to the Mythical Era, it didn’t have the vast sensitivity to Mythical Era relics. Still, it seemed Veronia might know something?
Seeing Tamur’s answer, Veronia didn’t pursue the matter further, suggesting perhaps Tamur genuinely didn’t know.
She looked at Feng Yuan and said,
"The special energy you suspect? Regardless of the underground cavern, the peak force was an invention of Kastantos. Even though it became part of world rules later, it retains that trait, so having peak force in a non-mountainous area is quite fascinating~"
Sighing, Feng Yuan said helplessly,
"Mainly, there’s less literature on Kastantos. Otherwise, they should know about this, but looking at it, it might not be something particularly dangerous."
The underground caverns themselves don’t match Kastantos’ cultural customs, and as for accidentally stranded remains? Feng Yuan considered that unlikely.
The patrolman was startled by Veronia’s words, thinking the Xiaoyan wolves’ dwelling place could relate to ultra-ancient civilization.
"Never mind, let’s check out the Fluffy Dog’s living area first. Clearly, you didn’t set up the cottage in the cave for specific reasons, right?"
Waving it off, Feng Yuan didn’t want to dwell on the matter. Anyway, if the suspicious underground cavern truly required investigation, an official team could handle it. As long as it wasn’t underground ruins, it should be quite safe.
The patrolman, leading the way, felt anxious, as if something major might happen.
Though Dou Yanlan thought leaving things unchecked seemed irresponsible, she heard Veronia’s words; perhaps their numerous encounters were driven by curiosity.
Moreover, as she previously aspired to the Commander’s path, the first thing to abandon was unnecessary curiosity. Yet, after leaving that path, she found herself committing what would be considered a serious error by presiding Commanders.
However, this sort of feeling... is rather nice. Maybe it’s all about... strength?
Thinking so, Dou Yanlan glanced at Feng Yuan. Truthfully, if not for Feng Yuan, their curiosity would have landed them in significant trouble long ago.
But as Ah Mu and Cotton grow, Dou Yanlan believes that eventually, relying only on herself and Ah Chen, they won’t find themselves in danger due to mere curiosity.
