Divine Beast Creator-Chapter 192 Trumi_1
Chapter 192: Chapter 192 Trumi_1
Before long, Big Cat had found all the items, and the message in the sky turned into colorful fireworks, showering down a knight statue.
"This couldn’t possibly be the way puzzle games work, could it?" Feng Yuan said somewhat speechlessly as he picked up the knight statue.
"Meow~"
Watching Big Cat scurrying around searching for the next clue, Feng Yuan shook his head and yawned, leaning against the wall to stand. Xiao Ji lay on Feng Yuan’s head, trying to stay awake and looking around, while the Dreaming Dragon Baby had curled up on Feng Yuan’s shoulder and fallen asleep without anyone noticing. Captain Yan directed the Spirit Beasts to check the surroundings and after a while, came over and said,
"Any clues yet?"
Looking at Big Cat, Feng Yuan replied somewhat listlessly,
"None. Now it all depends on Big Cat."
"Sorry, although I should let you go back at this point, I’m worried about those kids... after all, with you here, we have a better chance of finding them..."
Seeing Big Cat still busy, Captain Yan said to Feng Yuan, who picked up Xiao Ji into his arms and gently stroked its back while whispering,
"I’m fine. Staying up once in a while isn’t a big deal, besides tomorrow is the weekend. Xiao Ji, if you’re sleepy, go to sleep. With Agunas around, there’s no problem with safety."
"Ji..."
Xiao Ji stood up with effort in Feng Yuan’s arms. Feng Yuan smiled and started humming softly. As he hummed, Xiao Ji’s eyelids grew heavier and she eventually fell asleep in Feng Yuan’s arms, while the tail of the Dreaming Dragon Baby lying on his shoulder stopped flicking and hung down, gently swaying with Feng Yuan’s movements.
"Meow~"
After placing the knight statue in the recess, one of the torches in a passageway lit up. Big Cat shouted loudly to the two of them and stepped into the passage. Feng Yuan simply let Big Cat handle the puzzles.
"So why carry a ladder around anyway?"
Feng Yuan said with some speechlessness as he watched Erlang carrying a ladder. The ladder was obtained from solving a previous puzzle, and according to the hint, it was the key to solving another puzzle. Following Big Cat to a crystal chandelier, Big Cat directed Erlang to set down the ladder and then climbed up to take a sword hanging from the chandelier.
"When did that sword appear up there? If it was there from the beginning... Big Cat, couldn’t you have simply knocked it down?"
"No, the sword definitely wasn’t there at the beginning. It only appeared after the ladder was in place."
Captain Yan was speechless too, feeling that some of the puzzles were a bit superfluous. Following Big Cat back to the great hall where they first entered, Feng Yuan yawned and said,
"If it’s not solved yet, I’ll just have Agunas tear the place down."
Captain Yan also felt somewhat helpless. If he weren’t worried that directly destroying the castle might lead to losing clues, he might have agreed with Feng Yuan’s idea.
Erlang placed the sword in the hands of the statue in the center of the hall. The ground shook, and a stone door appeared out of nowhere. Exchanging a glance with Captain Yan, they both stepped through the door.
"Haha~ Challenger! Your opponent is me!"
Entering the door, they arrived at a battlefield suspended in the air. A little boy in strange clothes stood on the opposite side of the battlefield, striking a bizarre pose and shouting loudly. Glancing at Xiao Ji, who was asleep in his arms, Feng Yuan shook his head at Captain Yan, who stepped onto the battlefield and shouted at the boy,
"You must be Le Zhengming. Your mom is looking for you all over. Come with me."
"You’re lying, my mom said not to go with strangers. Big Cat! Attack!"
"Meow?"
Big Cat tilted its head in confusion at the boy’s words. At that moment, a data vortex swirled on the field, and a lion-shaped Spirit Beast engulfed in flames emerged from the vortex and roared at Captain Yan.
"A Rare Level Flaming Lion?"
Feng Yuan muttered in surprise. Seeing the Flaming Lion, Captain Yan’s gaze hardened. With a wave of his hand, three Spirit Beasts, covering for each other, stepped onto the battlefield. As Le Zhengming commanded his Spirit Beast to attack Captain Yan’s, it became apparent that though the beasts were of Rare Level, they fought individually. It didn’t take long for Captain Yan’s well-coordinated Spirit Beasts to defeat them one by one. Looking at Le Zhengming sitting on the ground, crestfallen, Captain Yan stepped forward and scolded,
"You’re way too premature to command Spirit Beasts! Don’t think just shouting commands makes you a Beast Tamer! Look at yourself, your own Spirit Beasts are fighting on their own! Then what’s the point of signing a Beast Tamer contract? Why not just release a bunch of Spirit Beasts and let them run wild?"
Listening to Captain Yan scold Le Zhengming, Feng Yuan shrank his head and took a few steps back before saying to Big Cat,
"I thought Captain Yan wasn’t much of a talker; I didn’t expect his scolding to be almost as good as Ye Hanlei’s."
"Meow?"
After a while, Captain Yan dragged Le Zhengming by the collar in front of Feng Yuan and said,
"This guy is now your responsibility, someone will take over when you go out later."
"Come over here," he said to Le Zhengming.
Seeing Le Zhengming shrink back, not daring to come closer, Feng Yuan smiled and said. Le Zhengming glanced at Feng Yuan, noticed Xiao Ji sleeping in his arms, and slowly moved his feet and said to Feng Yuan,
"Can I touch it?"
"No, it’s sleeping, don’t disturb it."
"Oh..."
Seeing Le Zhengming step back, looking somewhat disappointed, Feng Yuan glanced at Big Cat and said,
"You can touch Big Cat, though."
"Big Cat?"
Following Feng Yuan’s gaze, Le Zhengming looked over at Big Cat; the beast tilted its head, eyeing him curiously. Le Zhengming hesitated and didn’t approach Big Cat. Feng Yuan, curious, asked,
"Is it just you here? Where are the others?"
"The others are inside the combat center; I..."
Seeing Le Zhengming sneak a glance at Captain Yan, Feng Yuan said softly,
"You’ve been missing for quite a while; your parents must be worried about you."
"How long could it have been! Can’t I just play a little longer before going back..." Le Zhengming said, pouting with some dissatisfaction. Feng Yuan sighed and asked,
"How do I get to the combat center?"
"Just go through the main gate over there."
Le Zhengming turned and pointed behind him. Only then did Feng Yuan notice that a door had appeared on the previously empty wall at some point. After exchanging glances with Captain Yan, Captain Yan led the way, with Feng Yuan and Le Zhengming following through the door.
"It seems the problem isn’t too severe."
Seeing the combat center bustling with a multitude of battlefields where many children commanded Spirit Beasts in combat, Feng Yuan spoke with a hint of relief. Captain Yan walked among the Spirit Beasts, giving each one a talking-to before following him, while Feng Yuan took Le Zhengming to a fluffy, light brown fuzzball floating in the air and softly said to it,
"Trumi, are you planning to evolve in a special direction?"
The fuzzball blinked at Feng Yuan, sighed, and Feng Yuan said,
"You shouldn’t have lured those kids."
The fuzzball twirled in the air, looking somewhat discontent at Feng Yuan. Meanwhile, Le Zhengming spoke up for the fuzzball, protesting,
"It did nothing wrong! This place is so fun! You adults just like to hide all the fun stuff!"
"Do you know how much time has passed now?"
"Just a few hours, right? No need to scold me like that!"
"A few hours? Nearly a month has passed since the first disappearance case was merged with us."
"No... that can’t be..."
Seeing Le Zhengming’s unbelieving face, Feng Yuan sighed and said,
"You’ll know once we get out, won’t you? Trumi, you should come with me later; after all, you caused trouble unintentionally this time."
