Divine Beast Creator-Chapter 1892 - 1893: Unexpected Event
Although curious about who that person might be, Feng Yuan didn’t rush over directly. Mainly, there were lions on the stage roaming about, and he wasn’t sure if making a move would trigger any new changes.
However, just as he was yawning out of boredom, Xiao Ji seemed to notice something and started barking toward the position on the left-hand side. Curiously glancing at Xiao Ji, Feng Yuan motioned for it to lead the way.
"Cast Cubes? Why are there some here too?"
Seeing the group of Cast Cubes circling around him, Feng Yuan was stunned. He had previously learned from those children that even though they had the creative abilities bestowed by the Abnormal Space, this did not mean they could freely create non-existent Spirit Beasts. Moreover, due to limited cognition, the Spirit Beasts they could create were limited to those well-known types.
As for Cast Cubes? Don’t joke around, these new Spirit Beasts are something even researchers might not have seen. Thus, this group of Cast Cubes was definitely not created by anyone.
However, Feng Yuan didn’t quite understand why there were Cast Cubes here. Could they possibly ignore all the restrictive rules of the Abnormal Space?
The group of Cast Cubes didn’t show much abnormality upon seeing Feng Yuan. They even seemed very affectionate, circling around him, which made Xiao Ji a bit jealous. It opened its wings, flapping them to make a shooing gesture, but the Cast Cubes weren’t afraid of it and even drew closer.
"Haha, these little guys seem like babies, but... where did they come from?"
Even Xiao Ji found it hard to drive away these Cast Cubes that seemed to radiate friendliness toward him. Watching Xiao Ji’s expression, which seemed as if it had lost the will to live while being entangled by the Cast Cubes, Feng Yuan laughed and curiously said.
After playing with this group of Cast Cubes for a while, Feng Yuan was pretty sure that they had been born not long ago. Thinking of another group of Cast Cubes he encountered on the way, Feng Yuan stroked his chin and muttered to himself.
"Could it be that these little guys can only be born in the Abnormal Space? But that shouldn’t be, the Abnormal Space doesn’t have this function."
Saying this, Feng Yuan walked over, scooped the group of Cast Cubes into his hands, and played with them. Perhaps because they hadn’t been born for long, they didn’t have much reaction to Feng Yuan’s antics. Maybe to them, it was just a game.
Due to finding the Cast Cubes, Feng Yuan decided to stroll around the stands with Xiao Ji. However, apart from the Cast Cubes that Xiao Ji initially found, Feng Yuan did not encounter any other special presences.
"Where did he find another group of Cast Cubes?"
Having finally managed to secure a ticket to follow into the circus, Veronia looked at Feng Yuan, who was playing a combination game with Cast Cubes, and said with a face full of surprise. Agunas swished its tail and said,
"Maybe he met them here?"
It was almost impossible for Feng Yuan to have found Cast Cubes from elsewhere, and they were also sure that he hadn’t left. But why would there be Cast Cubes here? What do they have to do with the Tashimar Fantasy Circus?
The bored-looking Feng Yuan noticed Veronia entering and hurriedly put down the Cast Cubes in his hand, waving to them and shouting,
"I’m here~"
After gathering, looking at the Cast Cubes circling around Feng Yuan, Veronia couldn’t help but ask,
"Are you planning to take these little guys with you?"
"Otherwise? If left here, once the Abnormal Space starts to collapse, do you think they can escape?"
Rolling his eyes, Feng Yuan spoke, looking at Agunas. It seemed that this kind of Wild Spirit Beast was something Agunas was most concerned about. Without surprising Feng Yuan, Agunas glanced at the group of Cast Cubes, hesitated for a moment, and said,
"Take them along, I’ll protect them."
"So, now we need to deal with the two lions below, right?"
Seeing Agunas speak, Veronia naturally said no more and glanced at the lions on the stage, asking, while one hand rested on Xiao Ji’s head. Feng Yuan nodded and said,
"It might be fine if we don’t deal with them. Let’s see, if we can control them, it seems we can pass directly."
Having asked Xiao Ji to check beforehand and confirmed that the lions weren’t living beings, Feng Yuan wasn’t too concerned about their demise since these false creatures would perish as the Abnormal Space collapsed.
Instead, the strange silhouette from earlier intrigued Feng Yuan more—was that a real person or, like the lions, a false presence?
Unable to figure it out for the moment, Feng Yuan chose not to speak of it, at least not before ascertaining who it was.
Veronia, although sensing that Feng Yuan might be hiding something, didn’t pursue the matter. If he wanted to talk, surely he would have by now.
For those lions, Veronia merely used Crystal Rose to trap them all in place. Ignoring the lions that were struggling and roaring at the group, Feng Yuan and his companions entered the backstage through a door leading who-knows-where.
"This place... it’s so bizarre."
Looking at this peculiar space, Feng Yuan said somewhat surprised. Agunas swished its tail and said,
"I can feel the surrounding rules fluctuating more drastically. This place is probably very close to the core region. But, where exactly did the abnormality originate?"
In front of them was not a complete room; the long corridor led to a dressing room, and various circus-related props were scattered on the floor. However, one of the room’s walls was abruptly missing, replaced by a brilliant starry sky.
A winding colorful rod extended infinitely into the depths of this starry sky like a track. Floating within this sky were various circus-related items: metal cages, rings of fire, giant colorful balls, and other quirky props. It seemed as if this region had devoured part of the Tashimar Fantasy Circus.
"This place is really strange. Should we go up?"
After glancing around and finding no other exits, Veronia looked at Feng Yuan and asked. Could this place be like the previous amusement facilities?
Thinking for a bit, Feng Yuan tested the colorful rod, finding nothing unusual. Standing on it wouldn’t cause it to slide forward automatically, nor did it have any special powers.
"What’s that?"
As Feng Yuan considered, a silhouette flitted past, accompanied by an odd monkey’s laugh, as a silhouette dashed along the colorful rod into the starry sky.
"A monkey?!"
Feng Yuan was startled. Although he couldn’t clearly see what the silhouette was, the peculiar monkey laughter indicated that it should have been a monkey which just darted across. Yang Hongzhi suddenly grabbed someone in a clown costume, staring at them and asking,
"Who exactly are you?"
"A clown?"
Veronia scrutinized the clown suspiciously, comparing him with the clowns the group had encountered previously, only to find that this one didn’t seem to be the same person.
As Feng Yuan and the others entered the backstage, the white mist that had been blocked by the front door inexplicably broke through and gradually seeped into this joyful amusement park.
The white mist advanced slowly, but all areas shrouded by it experienced wilted vegetation, and everything appeared to decay as if eroded by the passage of time. Yet, a unique power seemed to be restraining its spread.
In the night sky, a stretch of blue ocean slowly emerged, with the call of whales seemingly warning of the hidden presence within the white mist. Despite this, the white mist continued to break through restraints and gradually devour this joyful Tashimar Circus.
Though the clown looked just like a youth, no matter how the group asked, he didn’t respond at all. Thinking of something, Feng Yuan patted Xiao Ji’s back and asked,
"Is this a false life?"
Due to Xiao Ji being a Death-series Divine Beast, it had a unique sensing ability towards creatures, allowing it to discern whether a target was a false life created by the Data Domain.
Xiao Ji stared at the clown for a long while and barked. Agunas frowned and said,
"It’s a false life, but why can’t we recognize it?"
In its perceptions, the clown seemed no different from a normal person. Veronia chuckled lightly and said,
"The rules here are chaotic, our abilities are naturally limited~"
"But, for what purpose does he appear here?"
Staring at the clown, Veronia asked, puzzled.
