Hell is aware of the disasters happening in the human world,

Hell severed its ties to the human world to stay away from the strange,

Hell does not wish to be tainted by the bizarre,

Hell is in fear.

Even the demons, who have succumbed to chaos, must candidly admit that they are no match for those enigmatic and grotesque beings. However, there are still demons who, driven by mere instinct, wish to rush to the human world to battle with the strange.

They are recognized as enemies by all worlds.

And the reason hell hasn’t been invaded, and the demons haven’t been slaughtered, is merely because there’s nothing in hell’s humanity that interests these beings—seemingly redemption is the only force that can convert souls into humanity.

"The sacrifice ritual in Terror Ball Town indeed exists."

Minutes later, the grand voice of the Judgment Chief momentarily overshadowed the murmuring, only to be drowned out by the noise.

"Silence!"

This time the order of the Judgment Chief was directed at the jurors.

When the court returned to silence, the Judgment Chief continued the trial:

"The sixth witness, Demon of the Earth."

On the second-tier witness stand, the outline of the Demon of the Earth became clear. But unlike other witnesses, it didn’t speak of Lu Li’s testimony: "...Judgment Chief, it stopped an evil ritual and should be rewarded by Abyss City."

The magnificent voice quickly echoed from the third tier:

"Abyss City will reward the contribution, sixth witness, continue your testimony."

The conspiracy of the Devil’s Offspring collapsed due to an accident—they had the credit of "stopping the strange invasion of hell," which allowed Lu Li to exist as a hero. Even if the existing testimonies were overturned and Lu Li’s crimes were confirmed again, he would not be judged.

Unless the order and justice of Abyss City are a joke.

"...The soul did not disrupt order. Father’s pet, my Town Mayor Wild Lion, wanted to betray Abyss City and was killed by it. Because of business, I temporarily placed the mayor under its management."

Demon of the Earth unexpectedly testified in favor of Lu Li.

All witnesses, except for Flowing Demon, inclined towards Lu Li being innocent.

As the shadow of Flowing Demon trembled, the Judgment Chief pronounced the result:

"Not guilty of disrupting Abyss City’s regional order, not guilty of occupying and killing the people of Abyss City territory!"

"Do not deceive the court, the abyss knows everything..."

In the low narrative of the Judgment Chief, the betrayed and desperate shadows on the witness stand disappeared and reappeared on the spectator’s bench.

Four charges, two were removed.

The two charges most likely to judge Lu Li were removed; the remaining ones, attacking the Devil’s Offspring and spreading chaos in Abyss City, were evidently insufficient to genuinely convict Lu Li.

They could already announce victory in advance.

Lu Li shifted his gaze from the few remaining shadows on the witness stand, and Demon of the Earth, Heart Plundering Demon, to the odd shadows on the witness stand.

So should the witnesses who were supposed to oppose him help him, would those originally his companions choose betrayal?

After the change of the first-tier witness stand and spectator’s bench, the third accusation trial began.

"Heart Plundering Demon accuses you of attacking the Devil’s Offspring."

The twisted outline of Heart Plundering Demon emerged from the witness stand.

Despite being female, and being the Devil’s Daughter, Heart Plundering Demon, neither in form nor silhouette, possessed any hint of female beauty through human eyes—compared to Heart Plundering Demon, the Idealist Demon leaned more towards human legend: with ram’s horns, beautiful and evil.

However, Lu Li never judged by appearance, be they strange beings or demons.

"Judgment Chief, the accusation is correct, this soul indeed attacked me..."

Heart Plundering Demon looked provocatively at the figure enveloped in layers, but failed to see the desired worry or tension, only calmness.

"It barged crudely into my manor, stole my most treasured thing, and almost killed me if not for the appearance of Demon of the Earth— but this was after I attacked it and stole its possession."

The court was once again in an uproar, but this time it originated from the witness stand.

"What are you doing... Heart Plundering Demon."

An unknown shadow let out an angry growl: "This is not what we agreed on..."

"...Brothers, it is my sister." The gravelly sarcastic voice rang out.

"Shut up! You fool in cahoots with outsiders!"

"Silence!"

The order of the third-tier Judgment Chief could not quiet the Devil’s Offspring, who were enraged by the betrayal of Heart Plundering Demon—that signified their total defeat.

And worst of all, their father was watching all this.

"My brothers, you mocked Demon of the Earth for being foolish, but perhaps the truly foolish ones are you? Careless, underestimating your opponent... disconnected from the human world, you are so pathetic, you probably couldn’t even fool a senile old man." Heart Plundering Demon relentlessly and sharply ridiculed these "brothers" who had only recently schemed to charge Lu Li with it.

"Silence!!!"

The roar reverberated, and the Devil’s Offspring closed their mouths, halting their squabbles under the regretful glances of the jurors.

"Heart Plundering Demon, you said the defendant stole something from you."

"Indeed."

"What did the defendant take from you?"

Heart Plundering Demon leaned forward, its forked tongue gently swaying, its vertical pupils gazing dreamily at Lu Li: "My love..."

"Absurd... you are the Devil’s Daughter, one of the future heirs of Abyss City."

Jealous rebuttal echoed from the spectator’s bench.

"So it is worthy of me."

Heart Plundering Demon displayed a demeanor that seemed captivated by Lu Li: "Mysterious identity, alluring aura, and the curse of the devil... I really want to see father fight that demon for us."

The sole witness for the third accusation changed their testimony, and the Judgment Chief thus ended the charge:

"Not guilty of attacking the Devil’s Offspring."

Now, there remained the final charge: spreading chaos in Abyss City.

The mysterious shadows on the witness stand emerged; they were demons captured by the Devil’s Offspring from Abyss City, fearfully recounting how they lost their sanity under Lu Li’s influence.

But it was no longer possible to judge Lu Li.

Lu Li easily nullified the accusation with "This is his aura, not intentional dispersion," especially since Lu Li entered Abyss City to undergo judgment.

The second-tier jurors plunged into chirping debates, persisting for several seconds, and they deliberated a result.

The grand voice of the Judgment Chief rose in the court:

"All charges against the soul for disrupting the regional order of Abyss City, occupying and killing people of Abyss City territory, attacking the Devil’s Offspring, spreading chaos in Abyss City, are dismissed!"

The shadow of the Judgment Chief at the top level of the court gradually faded.

The Demon of the Earth appeared beside Lu Li from the spectator’s bench.

"...it’s over now."

"Is it over?" Lu Li questioned.

"...it’s over."

The Devil’s Offspring had been thoroughly defeated under their father’s watchful eye; they dared not, and lacked the standing, to do anything further.

"Why do I feel it’s just beginning?"

Lu Li looked up at the three remaining Judgment Chiefs yet to depart:

"Judgment Chief, I wish to accuse the Devil’s Offspring of slander against me."
