DESTINY GAMES-Chapter 246: Big God.
After emboldening himself with the knowledge that the true god can’t act directly against him, he decided to entertain the full implications of Wrath’s theory without fear.
He thinks that Wrath’s theory is valid, and he believes that Aganju thinks so. Unfortunately, Aganju hates her too much to admit it.
But aside from the spat between them, the fact that every tree is the body of some god is a big matter that he has to focus on.

The way he looked at the forest around him changed because of that knowledge.
He asked himself, "Just how big is this god?"
He had to wonder that because trees are supposed to cover the whole surface of the Lignum world. If the god’s body is truly every tree in this world, does that mean the god is as big as a planet?
He asked himself, "Then what about Aganju. How big is his true body? Is he a planet size volcano?"
Then he shook his head. "I can’t picture it. But if these trees are truly the body of the god, it would explain why they grow so fast. But I still have many questions."
He has so many questions. For example, how did the god get so big? Why did it get so big? How powerful is something the size of a planet?
He has so many questions. But at the end he shook his head and said, "Maybe I don’t want to know."
Especially that last question. He would like to remain ignorant of the answer to it for a long time because he doesn’t think it will be good for his health if a god the size of a planet decides to show its power while he is still standing on said planet.
He shook his head and put the matter out of his mind. It is because there is very little he can do about the god of the Lignum world.
He would like the tree to be left alone. But others are already cutting down the trees.
The bulk of the manpower of the army, including the drones and bots that are being created, has been dedicated to cutting down the trees. So sooner or later, the god will wake up to deal with them.
His fear and opinion don’t matter. The truth of the matter will be made known, and he will have to find a way to survive.
The only thing he can change is which mission he will do.
There are two other missions apart from cutting down trees. One is scouting and reconnaissance.
This mission involves venturing to the edge of the area controlled by the Yggdrasil civilization and keeping an eye on the elves. His job will be to report their movements and actions.
He will continue to do that until the satellites have been assembled and sent into orbit. So it is a job that will end soon.
The job doesn’t involve much danger, so the reward is little. It has even less reward than chopping down trees.
The mission with the highest reward is the third mission. It is infiltrating past enemy lines into the areas controlled by elves.
He will use his position to gather secret information about the elves and their plans. The more valuable the information, the higher the reward.
He can also earn rewards by convincing the elves to betray their world and become traitors. The more powerful the traitor he creates, the higher the reward.
Even if he doesn’t find some secret information or convince anyone to betray the Lignum, he will still be rewarded for every minute that he is behind enemy lines.
As long as he has his mark with him, Command will be able to collect environmental data, troop movement data, troop placement data, and other information that deals with physical developments. Read new chapters at novelbuddy
He will be a live beacon for data collection. So he will be rewarded for simply keeping himself alive behind enemy lines.
Acquiring important information and convincing powerful elves to become traitors are just desserts. He can have them if he is lucky. But he won’t starve if he doesn’t get them.
These are the three main missions. He can do any one of them. Especially the third and most dangerous mission. His shape-shifting ability grants him a unique advantage for the mission.
Extraordinary Perception ability will also be able to help him avoid danger. When combined with the cloaking of his armor, infiltration will be easy for him.
In terms of rewards, cutting down trees is the second most lucrative. He won’t be able to earn per second that he is alive like in the infiltration mission, but he might be able to make up for it if the rate at which he cuts down trees is high.
The reward for cutting down trees is per each tree. The mission has the least danger, but it is the most intensive in terms of effort.
The scouting mission, on the other hand, is the most laid back. All he has to do is keep an eye on the enemy and report their movements.
He thought a while about it and soon had his mind set on a mission. It is the first mission. He would like to cut down trees.
He is inclined to this mission even though he won’t be able to earn a kill count for it because it is safe. But he wanted to hear Wrath’s thoughts on the matter before he goes ahead with it.
After all, she was the one that noticed that the trees are the body parts of the sleeping god. He doesn’t know if it is a good idea to be a part of the workforce dedicated to desecrating the body of a god.
It might turn out that cutting down trees is the most dangerous option. It won’t surprise him since it involves a god.
So he waited for her to heal and return before settling on a decision. In the meantime, he had to think about what he wanted to do with his merit points.
