Gu Qingxin quickly turned on the tap and washed with cold water, but after rinsing twice, there was still no improvement.

Beiming Han should be at the Jade Garden now and wouldn’t return until the evening. She didn’t want to go back now; she wanted to find a place to be alone for a while.

"Of course, you can stay as long as you like," Rong Qianchen was more than happy to oblige.

"You can go to the room upstairs where Miss Bai used to stay. I’ll bring the food up when it’s ready." Rong Qianchen frowned slightly, her demeanor worried him.

Gu Qingxin forced a smile at him and went upstairs.

Gu Qingxin didn’t expect to fall asleep; perhaps she was too exhausted lately. She lay on the bed Bai Qianqian once used and quickly fell asleep.

In her dream, she was back in her and Bai Qianqian’s childhood days, now standing by the two little girls, watching them play and laugh together. A smile slowly appeared on her face.

When Rong Qianchen came in, he saw she was asleep and didn’t wake her. He watched her for a while and then quietly left the room.

Closing the door, he stood outside for a long time, feeling that at this moment, despite being separated by a door, he was happy.

Before heading to the Jade Garden, Beiming Han made a trip to Lin Yin’s apartment. Even though it had only been a few hours since he parted from Gu Qingxin, he already missed her dearly.

He knew she had been very upset recently because of Bai Qianqian, which made him even more worried about her.

When he arrived at Lin Yin’s apartment, Lin Yin had just woken up from her nap. Seeing him, she quickly let him in.

Unable to catch up with him, Lin Yin returned to the living room and immediately picked up her phone to call her daughter.

But she called several times, and no one answered, causing her heart to feel restless.

Beiming Han also called, but received no answer because Gu Qingxin’s phone had been switched to silent mode by Rong Qianchen.

Seeing her sleeping so peacefully, he didn’t want to disturb her, knowing that Gu Qingxin had been through a lot lately.

Beiming Han called the driver, and the driver reported the morning’s situation accurately and completely.

The driver said he saw Gu Qingxin enter the apartment building’s front door personally; given the building’s excellent security, he felt assured enough to leave.
