Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Kissing Her in Front of Her Uncle

Natalie Kendall opened the door and entered the house. Isaac Vaughn was sitting on the sofa in the living room.

There was no smell of food in the house today.

It seemed like he was finally tired of the househusband game.

Natalie put the instant noodles and cookies she restocked from the supermarket into the cupboard. When she entered the living room, Isaac glanced up at her.

"Where is it? Why don’t you take it out?"

His tone was mocking.

When Natalie really took out the divorce agreement from her backpack, Isaac’s expression changed instantly.

He stood up, took a long stride to reach her, and snatched the agreement.

Clearly, he could see it once opened, but he deliberately asked her in an icy tone, "You signed it?"

Natalie replied blandly, "Yes, I signed it."

Isaac let out a cold laugh, and tore the agreement into pieces in front of her.

"Natalie Kendall, you’re something! Really something!"

He suppressed his anger, face dark, slamming the door as he left.

Natalie sighed, bent down to pick up the shredded paper, threw it into the trash, and then called her lawyer, asking him to prepare a new one for her.

The lawyer politely asked, "Is there something wrong with the agreement? Did the other party have any questions about the property division?"

"No, just..." Natalie didn’t know how to explain, "Just prepare another identical one... Actually, make ten copies."

Lawyer: "..."

This is a divorce agreement, not a flyer.

But possessing excellent professional ethics, the lawyer agreed.

Later, Natalie received the new divorce agreements, photographed her signed page, and sent it to Isaac, asking him to sign it when he had time.

A whole day passed before Isaac finally replied to her with two words:

[No time]

Natalie held back her annoyance, patiently advising:

[It doesn’t take long to sign.]

Isaac didn’t respond again.

Another day passed like this.

In the early morning, Isaac sent her a message, this time with one more word than before.

[I won’t leave]

He’s really a rascal!

Holding her phone, Natalie was so furious that she barely slept well for the rest of the night.

——

Early the next morning, someone called her. Half asleep, she groped for her phone, her voice husky as she answered, "Hello?"

On the other end was a deep middle-aged voice: "Nat, sorry to contact you so early."

Natalie immediately woke up, sitting up straight.

Bringing the phone to her eyes, the screen showed a string of unfamiliar numbers.

But that voice couldn’t be considered unfamiliar.

She licked her lips and placed the phone back to her ear, "Hello."

*

Ansel Vaughn came all the way from Janton amidst his busy schedule.

He must know something.

In the quiet private room.

Natalie and Ansel each had two cups of tea in front of them, the aroma wafting.

Ansel wasted no time, getting straight to the point: "The ridiculous thing Isaac did was to provoke me. I’m not embarrassed to admit, it’s my failure in upbringing, indirectly hurting you."

Natalie stayed silent.

Truly not knowing what to say.

"Nat, I believe you’re a sensible girl. Before more people know about this, you and Isaac should end it."

Natalie indeed wanted to end it here.

She nodded and said to Ansel, "Then may I trouble you to tell him to sign the divorce agreement soon?"

That would be a complete end.

"What?" Ansel was incredulous, "You two, you two got married?"

Suddenly, a thought flashed in his mind.

"Nat, are you Dora Fletcher?"

Though Natalie found it humiliating to admit, she had no choice but to nod.

Ansel’s face turned completely dark.

He had thought his son was merely having an affair with Natalie.

That was why he was so severe that day in the study.

But he never imagined Isaac, this unfilial son, was worse than he thought!

——

When Isaac saw his father, Ansel Vaughn, in his own living room, his first reaction was: "You’ve met with Natalie?"

He narrowed his eyes, his tone displeased: "What did you say to her?"

He was already very irritated because Natalie wanted to escape his control.

And now his father came to add insult to injury!

"Scoundrel!" Ansel slammed the table in anger, standing up from the sofa, "You have the nerve to question me after doing such shameless things yourself?"

Isaac’s face was somber.

Ansel threw the divorce agreement at him, "Sign it! From now on, you have nothing to do with each other!"

Isaac looked down at the agreement scattered at his feet, his gaze fixating on the signature "Natalie Kendall."

He bent down to pick up the agreement, dusting it off, and looked at his dad, mocking, "Nothing to do with her? Can’t be, right? Did you forget she’s my uncle’s fiancée?"

"Beast! You knew she was your uncle’s fiancée and you still..."

Ansel was seething with rage, his face livid: "You’re trying to provoke me, but have you thought about your mother? If she finds out, what do you think would happen to her?"

Isaac gritted his teeth, clutching the agreement tightly.

Ansel gave him a look, sat back on the sofa, his tone strategic, "As long as you sign it, once you join the company, I’ll give you another five percent of the shares."

——

Finishing her part-time work perfectly, Natalie couldn’t refuse and attended the celebration party, returning home very late.

The house was dark, no lights on.

But she smelled a strong scent of smoke, indicating someone else was at home.

She turned on the living room light, and sure enough, saw Isaac sitting on the sofa, with an ashtray in front of him overflowing with cigarette butts, some even falling outside.

He looked up at her, his eyes cold.

His slender fingers pointed to the divorce agreement on the coffee table, "You gave it to my dad?"

Natalie didn’t deny it, only asked, "Did you sign it?"

Isaac smirked, his smile never reaching his eyes, "Are you that eager for me to sign it?"

Natalie frowned lightly.

"If you want to know whether I signed it, just come and take a look, won’t you?"

She didn’t move, her gaze warily watching him.

Isaac leaned back against the sofa, one leg crossed over the other, his posture lazy, "What? Afraid? Dare not come over? Scared I’ll eat you up?"

"Do you think if I really wanted to do something, you could escape just standing over there?"

Thinking for a moment, Natalie finally moved forward.

She bent down, reaching for the agreement.

Isaac’s eyes darkened, suddenly leaning over. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Natalie gasped, caught off guard as he pulled her into his arms and grasped her chin, kissing her lips.

"Mm!"

She struggled with all her strength, but couldn’t resist his overpowering force.

Isaac pressed her into the sofa, effortlessly pinning her wrists above her head with one hand.

The position forced her to arch her upper body.

This convenient for him, he kissed through the clothes.

He deliberately hurt her.

She stubbornly refused to make a sound.

However, pathetically, her body reacted honestly under such coercion.

"You really want to cut ties with me that badly?" he murmured in her ear, "Without me, who will satisfy you in the future?"

Natalie coldly replied, "Anyone can."

This unexpectedly provoked Isaac.

He let out a cold laugh, anger sharpening his facial features.

Suddenly, there was a noise at the door.

Shortly after, Jason Grant’s voice called out, "Natalie Kendall, are you home?"

Footsteps drew closer.

Natalie’s eyes widened, she struggled desperately.

Isaac’s eyes held a wickedness, a madness she’d never seen before.

In front of Jason, as he walked in to see them tangled on the sofa, in front of her uncle’s eyes.

He kissed her lips.
