Chapter 178: Chapter 178: Caught Stealing a Kiss

The person outside the door was still wearing hospital clothes, only with a coat over them.

He was even still getting an IV drip, with a bodyguard holding the bottle for him.

Natalie felt it was surreal for Isaac Vaughn to appear at her doorstep in such a state.

Is he out of his mind?

Not staying properly in the hospital, but coming here instead.

And nobody stopped him?

"Little Ear."

"Isaac, what are you doing?" Natalie questioned coldly.

Isaac felt a pang in his heart, and was just about to ask her not to be angry when suddenly Jordan Rivers rushed out from inside, excitedly calling "brother-in-law, brother-in-law," and hugged him.

"Brother-in-law, where have you been?"

Jordan tilted his small face up, pouting: "Brother-in-law, I haven’t seen you for days, I missed you so much!"

Jordan didn’t notice that he had pressed on Isaac’s IV line, causing the blood to flow back.

Isaac didn’t say a word, just gently said, "I’ve had some matters to deal with these past few days."

"Jordan." It was Natalie who noticed, immediately pulling Jordan away.

Only then did Jordan notice the IV line, his eyes widening suddenly, his small face full of worry, "Brother-in-law, are you sick?"

"It’s nothing," Isaac smiled reassuringly.

Natalie glanced at him, "Come in first."

Upon hearing this, Isaac’s eyes immediately lit up.

He took the IV bottle himself and told the bodyguard, "You can go now."

Then he followed Natalie inside.

"Brother-in-law, I’ll hold it for you," Jordan volunteered.

Just as Isaac was about to say that wasn’t necessary, the IV bottle was taken by a cool hand.

Natalie’s height, combined with her raised arm, made it barely suitable.

Isaac felt sweetness in his heart, his gaze almost filled with tenderness as he looked at her.

There wasn’t much left in the IV bottle, and it finished quickly.

Jordan nestled beside Isaac, carefully pressing the band-aid on him, face serious.

"Brother-in-law, does this hurt?"

"No, you’re doing a great job, it doesn’t hurt at all."

Jordan sighed in relief, but his expression didn’t relax.

Isaac looked up, searching for Natalie, not seeing her, he sighed lightly with a hint of disappointment.

Suddenly footsteps were heard.

He quickly turned his head, seeing Natalie coming out of the bedroom.

Their eyes met.

Natalie said calmly, "You should go back to the hospital."

As soon as she said that, they heard something tapping against the window.

Jordan shouted, "Sister, it’s raining!"

Natalie frowned and looked outside.

Of all times, it had to rain now.

Clearly going against her wishes.

The rain grew heavier, leaving Natalie unable to send him away.

There were only two bedrooms with beds in the house.

Cynthia Kendall had secluded herself in the guest room, not making any noise.

Isaac still hadn’t fully recovered, it wouldn’t be right to make a patient sleep in the living room.

Natalie gave him and Jordan the master bedroom, while she took a thick blanket to the sofa.

Accompanied by the sound of rain, she fell asleep fairly quickly.

In the master bedroom.

Isaac opened his eyes, glanced at the sleeping Jordan beside him, then got out of bed and walked out.

He quietly made his way to the living room, slowly crouching down beside the sofa.

Though Natalie fell asleep quickly, she was a light sleeper.

His mere approach was enough to wake her up.

Yet, for some reason, she instinctively chose to pretend to be asleep.

Isaac stayed crouched next to the sofa, silently watching her for a long time, finally unable to hold back, he leaned in to kiss her lips.

Her lips were cool, with a fragrance and softness that almost made him lose control and sink deeper.

He managed to keep it brief, just a light touch.

But as soon as he pulled back, he met Natalie’s suddenly opened icy eyes.

"Little Ear..."

"Isaac, we still have to get divorced."
