Death Mage with an SS-Rank Talent-Chapter 245
Chapter 245: Chapter 245
Two Days later...
Aaron reached a Tier-1 city away from the place where he found the pendant. To get there, he had to move on foot. There was a reason why he came to this city in particular.
This city has a train service.
Not all cities have train services, most likely due to their locations. Most of these train lines connect important locations or places where there are heavy resource points, and of course, the cities that lie along the line have train stations, even if they are not important.
Aaron found one such city.
After enquiring about the train, he learned that the train would pass through the station the next morning. He brought a ticket to Dusk City.
Since the train was in the morning, and it was almost dark, he found an Inn to stay for the night. The train was quite early in the morning. So, he intended to sleep early in order to wake up early enough not to miss the train.
So, he first checked the Inns near the station. Luckily, there were a few rooms available in one of the Inns that was near the train station.
Once Aaron checked into his room, he took out some prepared food beforehand to eat while he checked his status.

There are a few changes in his status.
The first was his level. Due to the killing of the Rank-6 man who was guarding the ritual site, Aaron’s level increased directly to level 600.
As he was a Rank-4 Death Mage, Aaron got 800,000 FSPs. For a second, his FSPs increased by a lot, but later he dumped all that to increase his luck, which made them return to their original value.
His Luck has crossed the mark, and the movement that happened, there was a change in the trait that he gained for reaching the luck value of 10 points some time ago.
The trait upgraded from Hollow Luck to Lucky Brat.
--
Lucky Brat: Higher chances of fortunate events and things would tend to go in favour.
--
Though Aaron couldn’t understand why there was such a name for a trait, nonetheless, he was more than happy with what he read in the description. From that, one can say that it was better than Hollow Luck, but how much better there was no indication, but Aaron didn’t much care about that.
Next, with his level increase, alongside FSPs, he gained a lot of SPs too. Out of which many were used to increase the Summon Lich Mage skill from Rank 0, directly to Gold Rank 1.
The remaining SPs were left alone.
With this skill improvement, there are three skills that had reached Gold Rank. Two more, and his grade would be increased, and the improvement that would come would not be the best one.
So, before improving any other skills, he intended to improve one of these three to the next realm. So, there won’t be any improvements in the future for the skills, at least until he has enough SPs to increase the rank to the next realm.
Concentrating on the Lich Mage skill, which has increased from Rank 0 directly to Gold Rank 1, there is something interesting about this skill.
For every rank increase, there was just a single addition of additional Lich Summon. This continued not just from Rank 0 to Rank 9, but also in Bronze Realm, then Silver Realm and to Gold Realm.
So, the maximum he could have was 29 in total, but due to the high cost of mana and the burden that would leave on his body, he only summoned 4 new ones. If not for the fact that he had to leave the city due to the incident, the number might have increased by one or two.
Though the number was low, he understood that these Lich Mages have higher potential than normal undead. So, there was nothing wrong with such a low number.
When it comes to Quantity vs Quality, most of the time, the answer would be Quality.
Some may think that Quantity would win over Quality, but that would only if there was not much difference between the quality of the opposing teams.
In that scenario, Quantity would do better than Quality, but that was not what one would mean when they say Quantity vs Quality. The difference should be very high.
Whatever the case might be, Aaron already has quantity in his hands. There are more than 20k undead army. Now what he needed was not quantity, but quality, like what the Lich showed during the fight in the basement.
Aaron was quite happy and satisfied by the Lich’s fight back then. So, he increased the skill’s rank and increased their number.
Another change that happened was because of the replacement of his necklace, with the one he found among the mist filled wild.
Since Aaron had removed his old necklace, the +10 INT disappeared, but with his high attributes, that disappearance mattered not much. If it was a percentage improvement that disappeared, Aaron might have felt the sting, but the value was just +10, which, when he started out, was considered high, but now, it was too low.
So this small change didn’t affect him in any way.
---
Aaron was satisfied with the changes. After checking all the details, he drifted to sleep.
