A little more than Two Months later...

A total of sixty-five days had passed since Aaron had returned to the academy after completing the mission. After completing the mission, he didn’t take on any more missions, because he saw that nothing out there is as simple as it appears.

The mission he took was to clear bandits, but behind them, there were slavers, and behind them, there were the cults. Everything that happens in the world is connected to something bigger and dipping in that shit while being weak is not a good thing.

A few days later, he came to know that his decision was right.

A group of five first-year students who went on a regular monster-clearing mission encountered members of the cults, who were poking the monsters in order to make them attack the nearby settlements. A fight broke out and two were killed, while one was critically injured, with the remaining two were severely injured.

This group was not the only one that faced those sorts of troubles. Every mission started to become complicated, due to the increased presence of monsters, cults and every other criminal element present in the world.

With such uncertainty, the only way to survive was to increase one’s levels and rank.

Aaron was Rank-3, but that would not matter much in front of Rank-4 or Rank-5 usually. With his high attributes and skills, he can overwhelm Rank-4 professionals, but if he encounters Rank-5 or above professionals, that would be the end for him.

During normal times, that might be almost impossible, but with rumours spreading about the fact that the world is changing, which Aaron knew to be true, he needed to improve his levels faster.

So, he and the girls decided to level up first, before taking on any missions again.

Aaron’s level increased from level 233 to 308, a total of 75 levels increase. This was because, unlike before, when many could see his activities, now it has decreased.

There are fewer students than there were when the year started. Even the staff have no time to teach much as they were deployed to reinforce a place or two. The academy is almost working with a skeleton crew, but even with that, it was still safer than what it is outside, due to the defensive formations that can protect the people inside.

Aaron made use of the distraction and entered high-level dungeons every day. With that, he was able to increase his levels by 75 in just 65 days. In fact, he could improve even better if not for the fact that he didn’t delay reading the knowledge available in the library.

For someone who was born with a golden spoon, their families would have most of the knowledge, and they would be well-versed in that, but it was not the same for Aaron. So, he needed whatever time he could find to fill in the gaps in his knowledge.

If he had dedicated all his time to levelling up or started with the highest level dungeon from the start, his level might have been even higher. Even though that was the case, he was sure that before the next first-year students arrive, he would surely reach Rank-4.

If it were just levelling up, he would have said that he could even cross level 500 before that, but there is a small quest that needs to be cleared before he can set foot in Rank-4.

Unlike before, Rank-4 and above quests would involve their profession. So, it wouldn’t be easy to always complete the quests.

Anyway, at the moment, with a 75-level increase, he gained 300,000 FSPs and 120,000 SPs, which were added to what he already has.

Though the SPs are at 179k, he was not sure that the skill could reach the Gold Realm, given how it was improving the ranks in the lower realms. So, he decided to wait till it crosses 200k, which should be more than enough to reach Gold Rank.

If that is not enough, then there is nothing he could do about that, except wait till they are enough.

Coming to the basic attributes, Aaron has reached the 15,000 mark for the two main attributes and the 10,000 mark for the other four attributes.

Even his luck increased by +5, consuming 250,000 FSPs in these past sixty days.

Most of the FSPs that were gained were used without any delay, and what he now has is almost 23k. These FSPs and whatever he gains later on would be used to increase luck even more, until he was able to unlock another hidden attribute.
