Chapter 151: Chapter 149: I’ll fuck you up real bad

The smile on Adrianna’s face vanished instantly. Then, like she suddenly remembered this was exactly what Athena wanted...her lips curled into a slow, venomous smirk.

Adrianna cocked her head. "Wow... so that’s why your caption looked so desperate. I guess when you don’t have real talent, selling your body online is the easiest way to feel relevant."

The girls behind Adrianna giggled, like she just cracked the funniest joke ever.

Typical fool...

Athena’s own smile widened, stretching until every perfect white tooth showed. She even leaned in a little, threw her head back and laughed.

When she finally lowered her gaze again, her eyes were gleaming.

She lifted a hand. "I’m really, really sorry for that," she said sweetly.

"I forgot you were still trying to have a life outside your obsession with me. Must be hard... waking up every morning pretending you’re not threatened. Especially when every little thing I did pulls more attention in five minutes, than you’ve gotten your whole miserable semester." Athena snapped, sharp enough that the girls behind Adrianna visibly flinched.

Adrianna’s face twisted instantly. "How dare you?"

"No." Athena cut in, voice rising just enough to drown her out. "How dare you think you can talk to me about relevance when the only reason people even know your name is because you stand next to me hoping someone will look your way?"

Adrianna’s jaw locked. Her friends stiffened.

Athena took a slow step forward, smile still sweet, but dangerous.

"Next time you want to lecture me about captions," she murmured, "make sure you actually have a life worth comparing."

One of the girls behind Adrianna suddenly snapped, "Rich bitch acting like she’s better than everyone..."

Athena slowly placed a hand on her chest, eyes widening in a dramatic, mocking gasp. "Oh... me? Better than you?" She tilted her head, lips curling. "Sweetheart, don’t compare a diamond to gravel."

The girl’s mouth dropped open as if Athena had slapped her across the face. She looked away instantly, jaw tight with embarrassment and rage, but she didn’t dare say a word.

Adrianna scoffed loudly, irritated at how perfectly unbothered Athena appeared. "Enough. Out," she ordered.

The three girls spun and left, shutting the door behind them. The slam echoed, leaving only Adrianna and Athena in the room.

Silence thickened between them.

Adrianna folded her arms, chin lifted. "Funny how you think nothing can get to you, Athena..."

Athena let out a short breathy laugh and shook her head slowly. "Actually, it did get to me," she said, voice steady and calm. "But I didn’t give you the reaction you wanted. And that must’ve burned your ego so badly."

Adrianna’s face darkened, lips twisting into something murderous. But Athena wasn’t done.

"Before you walked in," she continued, her tone shifting into a quiet, cutting calm, "I was trying to figure out who posted that picture. Who wrote those disgusting captions about me... using my account."

She met Adrianna’s eyes. "But the moment you stepped into this room? I knew it was you. You always leave a little stench of desperation everywhere you go."

Adrianna’s eyebrow arched, but instead of reacting, she let out an uninterested sigh...like she couldn’t care less.

"Oh please," she said lazily, inspecting her nails. "If a single post can ruin your little reputation, maybe you never had one to begin with."

Athena smiled. A slow... terrifying smile, the kind that crawled under skin. "I knew you would say that," she murmured. "You’re so damn predictable, Adrianna. That’s why you can never be me... and I can never be you."

Her head tilted, eyes gleaming. "See, I walk into a room and people notice. You walk into a room and people pray you don’t speak."

Adrianna’s jaw clenched, her face twisting. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮

Athena didn’t wait for a reaction.

She simply stepped past her, shoulders relaxed, treating Adrianna like she was nothing but noise in the background.

She opened the door, but a sharp slap smashed across her cheek, snapping her face to the side.

The corridor went dead silent.

Athena staggered back from the impact. Her’s fingers twitched, slowly lifting her face... and her eyes locked on Mr. Meadow.

Rage carved his features. More like he read about to murder Athena.

"How dare you, Athena?" Mr. Meadow barked, his voice cracking with fury. "How dare you drag my name into your disgusting, miserable life?!"

Gasps exploded around them.

Students immediately brought out their phones and started recording.

Adrianna stood behind him, her lips curled into a wickedly satisfied smile, like this was the moment she had been waiting for.

Mr. Meadow stepped closer, chest heaving.

"Do you know the damage you’ve caused? The humiliation?! The filth attached to my name because of you?"

Athena didn’t flinch. Her cheek burned violently, her tears threatened to fall again, but she held them back by force alone. She wasn’t going to give them all the satisfaction.

Her breath trembled, but she stayed standing. The queen they all wanted to see break.

And Adrianna... God, Adrianna looked like she was watching her favorite movie. She was literally over the moon.

For a moment, silence wrapped around Athena like a noose.

Then... she breathed in.

Straightened her spine.

And her trembling stopped.

Completely.

Athena took a in a deep breath. Straightened her spine. Her hair fell slightly over her cheek, hiding the reddening mark, but her eyes, her eyes were sharp and cold.

"Are you done?" Athena asked softly, her voice steady.

The crowd stiffened, instantly at Athena’s nerves.

Mr. Meadow blinked. And Adrianna’s smile vanished. Can this girl ever act pained a little?

Athena stepped forward, just enough to reclaim the space he tried to take from her.

"I didn’t throw your name anywhere," she said, her tone clear enough for every recording phone to capture. "But the fact that you’re panicking so loudly..." She paused, letting it sink in, letting every eye widen. "...is interesting."

A few students gasped. Someone muttered, "Oh my God..."

Mr. Meadow’s face twisted. "Watch your mouth—"

Athena cut him off with a small, humorless laugh. "No," she said, the word slicing the air cleanly. "You watch yours."

Adrianna Flinched, taking a sudden step back on instincts.

The crowd went still.

Athena’s smile returned.

A/T: I think she inherited that smile from Jianna.

"Because I’ve done absolutely nothing wrong," she continued, her voice low and controlled, "and if you think humiliating me in public will cover up whatever you are afraid of..." Her head tilted slightly. "...that’s your problem. Not mine."

Mr. Meadow’s face twisted even harder, veins pulsing with fury, and he slapped Athena again across the face.

The crowd gasped, hands flying to mouths.

Athena’s head snapped to him, her eyes red with fury. Her body moved with a deadly grace, and closed the distance between her and Mr meadow.

Her chest brushed against Mr. Meadow’s as she leaned close, voice icy and dripping with menace.

"I swear to God, if you touch me one more time, Meadow... I’ll forget all the home training I never had and fuck you up real bad."
