Daily life of a cultivation judge-Chapter 977: Fruit of merging two arts
Fan Cai clenched his fists tightly before relaxing them as he sighed.
"She has basically been a stranger all my life but she did reveal a few things about herself... when she felt like it," said Fan Cai as he reached out for another measured sip of his tea.
"She is originally from the Deer Mountain Range," he added as he placed the cup down.
"Oh," Yang Qing muttered in surprise at the coincidence of it all, considering the number of acquaintances and interactions he had with the place.
Since Yang Qing didn’t conceal his emotions on the matter, Fan Cai was able to pick up on it which also triggered a reaction from him. He looked curious, yet hesitant, and eventually curiosity won in the end.
"How is it ..... there?" he asked.
"It’s full of wonder and charm hiding countless mysteries within it and dangers too," Yang Qing said in a magnetic and reminiscent voice.
"This should help you get a feel for it," he added as he brought his palms together. Fan Cai saw what looked to be a glowing full moon on his left palm, and a burning sun in the other, each releasing a gentle power full of the life force of nature.
Yin Yang, Nature’s testament
Yin Yang, Nature’s symphony
A bubble was formed in between Yang Qing’s palms. He stretched his hands outwards which seemed to give room for the bubble to grow and within seconds it had stretched to the size of the entire table.
Fan Cai’s eyes glittered in amazement as he saw the bubble boil with the same colorful lights Yang Qing had produced earlier when he produced that doe, only this one he felt was intrinsically deeper and profound as he could feel a transcendent power flowing within it that was absent in the light from before.
Yang Qing snapped his fingers and the lights danced around the bubble for a second before settling into features that prompted Fan Cai’s eyes and mouth to widen as he saw the transformation that took place before him.
He could see rivers, trees, and all manner of vegetation, he could see mountains, hills, and valleys, he could see all kinds of animals moving about, and he could even feel the pressures of their cultivation realms be it from the spirit beasts and the spiritual plants.

"How did you do that?" Fan Cai asked, his eyes not leaving the wonderous happening before him.
He could feel how alive the features within the bubble were. Everything he perceived be it by his senses i.e. the ears, the nose, and the eyes, or via his spiritual sense, was all telling him whatever he was perceiving was the real thing. The gentle flowing sound of the rivers and springs, the smell of earth permeating from the mountain, the mix and mash of the floral scents and their uniqueness to one another, the buzzing of empyreal wasps that were hard at work growing developing their hive and the sweet-scented honey hidden within the bark of the maple tree they had called home, and the excitement in the eyes of an oak claw bear that was eyeing that maple tree.
He could see and hear the rustling of leaves and grass as they swayed ever so gently from the wind blowing around, which created a musical symphony of nature with the birds and insects that were chirping about and the occasional roar of spirit beasts that were fighting each other. It was a perfect blend that showed the vibrancy and vigor of nature.
It didn’t just stop there, he could also distinctly feel the quality of spiritual qi in different areas, the variations of temperature and other subtle conditions such as humidity, and when it came to the spirit beasts and spiritual plants, he could accurately feel their strengths with the stronger ones even creating a suppressive effect on him.
Everything within that bubble was as real as it could be. He couldn’t detect anything that proved otherwise.
"That is the deer mountain range, at least part of it. These are the places I interacted with when I was there," Yang Qing said, pleased with the functioning of his art.
He had blended two arts in the creation before him. Nature’s Testament and Nature’s Symphony. He had come up with the two arts by borrowing the properties of his purple grade art, the universal light resonant art, and his yin yang jade nature bones physique.
Both his purple-grade art and his physique gave him a profound affinity and understanding of nature and borrowing that advantage, he could easily replicate everything that he has ever interacted with perfection.
The manifestation of that art seemed to have improved from when he last used it and he had no doubt in his heart that it was due to the changes happening to his physique.
With the qualitative transformation of his art, he had a rush of inspiration for more things he could do with both arts. The deeper his understanding of life grew, maybe he could potentially replay the events that happened in a particular area with the testament art by borrowing the energy of the life aura contained in the area without having prior interaction with the area. He could combine it with nature’s symphony to add more to the replay.
It would be the best art for an archeology fanatic like him, digging up traces of life left over, who knows the clues he might dig up.
If it was indeed feasible he could even sell it to the Order for a hefty sum of merit points. He could see how inquisitors could profit from such an art when conducting their investigations, especially the special inquisitors. If it proved feasible he was in for a windfall, but all that would have to wait till later.
Yang Qing took a few minutes to give Fan Cai a tour of his miniature version of the Deer Mountain Range, touching on his experiences, and answering a few questions Fan Cai had.
"If you do decide to go there in the future, you can go here," Yang Qing said as he pointed to a small corner of the range that had an oak tree with green and blue leaves, and a green firefly buzzing about.
"There are friends of mine staying here, and one of them is a long-time resident of the area. He could show you around, just tell him I sent you. Your amulet has a trace of my energy which he and the rest should be able to use for verification,"
"Thank you. Hopefully, I will get around to doing it," Fan Cai eagerly said. Though for a brief moment, he did look downcast as he said those words.
Maybe he didn’t believe he would get the chance, or if he did end up going there, he might be in a different state mentally, depending on how today’s events play out.
Yang Qing believed it to be the latter as he saw Fan Cai rub his hand against his chest which conveniently was where the amulet was.
Yang Qing waved his hands and the bubble disappeared.
"Did your mother talk much about her time there, or why she left?" asked Yang Qing.
Fan Cai pressed his lips together slightly before he answered,
"She wasn’t exactly the most communicative person when it came to her past, but she did say she had a sister she looked up to but that sister left the range, and she left not too soon after.
I don’t think they’re sisters by blood though considering the item she left me with which she said belonged to her sister. It’s a piece of scale," Fan Cai said as he took out an object that was about the size of a mango seed.
The object looked like a flat piece of beautiful pearlescent glass, though the glass for some reason felt malleable. One could hear the sound of wooshing water within it that was reflected in the refreshing smell of water and the coolness associated with it enveloping the area.
"Whoever the sister is, if this is from her, she is definitely not a nine-heart deer."
