Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 83: You Haven’t Forgotten Me
Bea just returned to the old house, and after sweetly greeting the Hawke Family elders, she hid in the children’s room and briefed Dominic Hawke about what happened this afternoon.
"Do you think your dad is a bit slow? But he bragged in front of me, saying I should just watch—he’s going to win my mom over."
Hearing this, Dominic pressed his little lips together, momentarily speechless.
He couldn’t quite figure out what his dad was thinking.
But since he boasted so much, he probably wouldn’t give up so easily!
Thinking of this, his previously low spirit brightened a bit.
"By the way, Bea, my godmother will be picking me up soon. Quickly tell me about your godmother so she doesn’t find out I’m impersonating you."
Godmother is back!
On the other end of the phone, Bea exclaimed, stomping her feet anxiously.
"My godmother is back! Dominic, I want to see my godmother. Let’s switch back!"
"Alright, Bea, for us to become a family faster, just bear with it a bit longer."
"Hmph! Dominic, I’m sacrificing a lot for you."
"Yeah, I know!"
"Let me tell you, my godmother is a very skilled psychologist..."
Bea gave a brief introduction of Leia Quinn and sent a photo over to Dominic.
Dominic memorized Leia Quinn’s details and let out a long sigh.
A psychologist, huh!
He often dealt with psychologists and knew well that they were great at reading people.
Suddenly, he felt a bit nervous!
Better not let Bea’s godmother notice anything!
As night gradually fell.
Elara Don was reassured that Leia Quinn would pick up her son, so she stayed a bit longer for overtime at the office before leaving.
She got on the bus and called Leia Quinn, finding out that Leia was already at her home, cooking dinner in the kitchen, just waiting for her to return and eat together; her heart was filled with warmth and gratitude.
"Oh, Chloe, I love you so much! If I were a man, I’d definitely marry you."
To have such a good girlfriend for a lifetime is truly enough.
"Haha, don’t be so cheesy. I’m not doing this for you but so my godson doesn’t go hungry."
On the other end of the phone, Leia Quinn tasted the lotus root and rib soup on the stove, squinting her eyes, savoring its flavor.
"Yes, yes, I’m benefiting from knowing my son."
Elara chuckled softly, looking at the city lights outside the window, eager to go back and reunite with her old friend.
"But, Elly, doesn’t Bea seem to... never mind, we’ll talk when you get back."
Leia glanced at the little one sitting in the living room, absorbed in the medical magazines she’d casually left on the coffee table, a hint of suspicion in her eyes.
How did he suddenly become so courteous and distant in such a short time since last seeing him?
The previous lively temperament had vanished, replaced by maturity.
A bit strange!
"Okay, we’ll talk when I get back."
Elara laughed and hung up the phone.
The bus continued moving steadily forward, followed neither too close nor too far by a black sedan, until the bus reached its stop.
Elara got off from the back door and tidied up her hair, disheveled by the wind, before walking toward her housing complex.
"Elara Don, you shameless, terrible woman, get out of Sea City now."
"Elara Don, you shameless woman, why did you steal Vivi’s fiancé!"
"Elara Don, if you don’t get out of Sea City, we’ll make you pay!"
"..."
A dozen or so girls emerged from nowhere, running angrily toward Elara Don. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Some spat at her, some threw rotten eggs, and some threw small stones at her!
Elara Don was startled, dodging the things being thrown at her instinctively and stepping back.
"Stop, what are you doing?"
Who are these people?
They seem like Ivy’s crazed fans!
"Elara Don, you despicable, shameless woman, only good at stealing other people’s fiancés, you are a disgrace to women everywhere! Get out of Sea City!"
"Right, Elara Don, get out of Sea City! Or we’ll block you every day!"
"..."
Several girls were indignant, angrily rebuking Elara Don.
Elara straightened her back, looking at the increasing number of onlookers, and said, "You must be Victoria Don’s fans, right? Did Ivy instigate you to come? You better stop harassing me, or I’ll call the police."
"Elara Don, don’t slander our Vivi. Our Vivi is the gentlest and kindest fairy in the world; she wouldn’t instigate us to trouble you. We just don’t like you and want to vent for Vivi!"
"Yeah, let’s not waste words on her; there’s no point in talking to a woman with no boundaries like her."
"Yes, hit her!"
"..."
Several girls started yelling and throwing things at Elara Don.
Elara’s heart jumped, and she instinctively wanted to back away, but her foot twisted, and she almost stumbled.
A flying object headed towards her.
She wasn’t sure if it was a rotten egg or a small stone.
Elara Don closed her eyes, calling it the end!
"Watch out."
A man’s cold, deep voice rang out, followed by a tight grip around her waist.
Someone shielded her in an embrace.
A faint minty fragrance wafted past her nose, and Elara’s small nose twitched, and she suddenly opened her eyes.
"Tom!"
It’s him!
It really is him!
Unexpectedly, he appeared here at such a critical moment.
"Yes, it’s me. Seems like you haven’t forgotten me?"
Damon Hawke was wearing a plain, unremarkable face mask, a small smile curving his lips.
This was just what he was going to do next.
Since Elara Don didn’t want to develop further with him as the CEO, he’d approach her under another identity, to see if she’d fall in love with him step by step!
"I’m not suffering from Alzheimer’s!"
She wanted to forget, but he was the biological father of her child, making it impossible to forget!
Elara Don gave him a playful, indignant look, but a slight smile played at her lips.
For some reason, encountering him at such a moment made her feel a sense of relief.
Probably because of his strong protective strength!
Damon chuckled lightly and steadied Elara Don.
He glanced over the girls staring at them, his eyes turning sharply intense.
He had Chase Quinn follow and trail Elara Don from the bus, until she got off.
Originally planning to pretend to run into her by coincidence and have dinner together, starting a date, he hadn’t expected to encounter Ivy’s fans blocking her at her doorstep!
"Chase, take videos of these people’s faces, investigate their ages, and find out who their parents are! Next time Elara is harassed, send our guys to have a good talk at their doors!"
Damon Hawke, face dark and commanding in a cold voice, instructed Chase Quinn beside him.
"Yes."
Chase Quinn responded, pulling out his phone to start recording a short video.
"Don’t record, don’t record!"
"Who are these two men? Their expressions are so fierce."
"Look, that man has a tattoo on his arm! They’re gang people!"
"We can’t afford to offend them, gang members are terrifying!"
"Run!"
A group of girls were scared, covering their faces and fleeing in a hurry.
