Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 389: You Can Take Advantage of Me a Bit More
Damon Hawke’s face was still a bit pale. He gave Amelia Miles a slight smile, his voice slightly hoarse.
"I’m fine."
"Really fine now?"
Amelia Miles tentatively held Damon’s hand, looking at him intently, waiting for his reaction.
Damon didn’t feel anything; the previous feeling of repulsion towards Amelia had completely disappeared.
It seemed he was truly better now.
"Tom, do you not dislike me anymore?"
Amelia leaned in closer to Damon, her eyes sparkling.
"Hmm, seems like I don’t feel anything."
Damon replied with a slight smile.
"No feeling anymore? How about this?"
The light in Amelia’s eyes grew brighter as she playfully pinched his arm.
Damon smiled without speaking.
Amelia hugged him again, "What about now? Still no feeling?"
Looking at the fluffy hair on the woman’s head, Damon chuckled, "Elly, you might as well take this chance to get more out of me."
Hearing the teasing yet joyful laughter from him, Amelia hugged him tightly, rubbing her head against his chest.
"You’re annoying."
"A mother of two and still so fond of acting coy."
"What’s wrong? You’re not repulsed by me anymore, now you’re despising me?"
"How could I dare?"
"..."
The two were filled with tender affection, the room brimming with warmth.
Craig Landers leaned against the door with his hands in his pockets, sourly saying, "Enough, you two! If you want to show off, go home and do it."
Hearing this, Amelia straightened her body from Damon’s embrace, turning back to look at him.
"Craig, if you don’t like it, you can leave. No one’s forcing you to stay here and watch."
Craig chuckled, "Elly, this is my private room, you know?"
"Are you trying to kick us out?" Amelia asked, in a great mood, raising her brow.
"How could I dare?"
Craig smiled and walked in.
Amelia noticed a hint of a smile on his face and her almond eyes glimmered.
"Hey, where are Sarah and Brooke?"
Craig, being a clever person, now wore a noticeably lighter demeanor, perhaps convinced Brooke was indeed Kiki?
But Kiki didn’t want to acknowledge him!
"They should have gone back to their room."
Craig walked to the bed, speaking casually, "Mr. Frost seems very concerned about me getting close to Sarah. Do you think he’s worried I’ll expose Sarah’s true identity?"
Isn’t that exactly what he thought?
Amelia’s almond eyes twinkled, she chuckled dryly, "What identity does Brooke have? Craig, are you still suspecting Brooke is Kiki?"
"Of course. I trust my gut feeling."
Craig looked very certain.
"Craig, don’t get your hopes up too high. Actually, Brooke just has some similarities with Kiki."
He compared two toothbrushes to verify his idea was correct.
But in the end, he would be disappointed.
Because they would swap out the comparison results.
"It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe me; I’ll prove it with facts."
Craig said indifferently, his eyes falling on Damon, "Alright, let’s stop talking about that. Damon, have you remembered past events yet?"
Damon had been watching Amelia’s expression. Hearing Craig’s words, he looked up, "No."
He still didn’t have his old memories.
It seemed Frost Moore had only removed the Gu from his body.
"It’s okay, Tom, I’ve already talked to Brooke. Tomorrow she’ll help hypnotize you to recall your past."
Amelia wasn’t in a rush.
The Gu in Damon’s body was gone, and a burden in her heart was lifted.
As for the memories, it wouldn’t matter if he didn’t remember now.
One day he would remember.
"Tomorrow? Then maybe you won’t see Sarah anymore."
Craig suddenly interjected from the side.
Amelia was taken aback, looking at Craig, "Craig, what do you mean?"
"Oh, just now Mr. Frost saw me with Sarah and got angry, saying he would leave tomorrow."
Amelia: "..."
Leaving?
How could that be?
She had worked so hard to reunite with her best friend; how could they part so soon?
Moreover, her husband hadn’t regained his memory!
"Craig, I said she’s not Kiki, so stay away from her."
All of this was Craig’s fault, and now how could she persuade them to stay?
Amelia got up in a bad mood, "No, I’ll go talk to Mr. Frost. Hasn’t he even started checking out the market here? Why leave so soon?"
Watching Amelia leave, Craig rubbed his chin with a smile.
If Amelia failed to persuade them, how could he manage to keep Sarah here?
Damon hadn’t said much, but seeing Amelia leave, he got out of bed.
An observer knows best.
That Sarah seemed suspicious.
However, since his wife wanted to keep it secret, as her husband, he should definitely go along with her.
Upstairs, Amelia knocked on Frost Moore’s door.
It was Sarah who opened the door.
Amelia pulled her aside and peeked inside, whispering, "Is Mr. Frost still angry?"
Sarah smiled bitterly and nodded, "He’s very angry, insists on leaving tomorrow."
Amelia frowned, "It’s all Craig Landers’ fault, why did he approach you?"
Wasn’t it?
It made her feel restless too.
Inwardly, Sarah sighed.
Amelia squeezed her hand, "No worries, let me try to persuade him."
Sarah nodded and let Amelia in.
In the room, Frost was organizing books. Amelia walked over and called out, "Mr. Frost, are you really leaving tomorrow?"
"Yes."
"But you haven’t explored the local industries yet."
"No need to, I don’t plan to expand my business here."
Frost replied coldly.
Amelia was lost for words and bit her lip, "But Tom’s body isn’t fully recovered, nor his memory, Mr. Frost can you do one last favor and stay a few more days?"
"No."
Frost refused flatly.
"Mr. Frost, then maybe you can go ahead and leave. Brooke and I have hit it off, and I’d like her to stay a few days to help hypnotize Tom."
Amelia bit her lip and suggested.
Frost slammed the book on the desk and glared at Amelia, "Enough, Brooke is my sister, where I go, she goes."
This man was a bit too overbearing, wasn’t he?
"Mr. Frost, Brooke is an adult; she should have the freedom to go where she wants."
Because of fear that Sarah would recognize her past acquaintances, did he always need to restrict her freedom?
How is that different from imprisonment?
Amelia said angrily.
"This is our business, none of your concern."
"Mr. Frost, you can’t do that, how is it different from imprisonment?"
"I said, it’s none of your concern, please leave immediately."
"Mr. Frost!"
"Alright, Elly, you’d better leave now."
Seeing that the two were about to quarrel, Sarah quickly pulled Amelia out.
