Chapter 377: Chapter 377: Testing the Waters

Frost Moore and Sarah Moore rested for a while in the suite, both having changed clothes.

When Sarah saw the two little ones, her eyes lit up.

These were her godsons. ๐˜ง๐‘Ÿ๐‘’๐‘’๐˜ธ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฃ๐‘›๐‘œ๐˜ท๐‘’๐“.๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐“‚

She missed them so much!

"Charlie, Bea, say hello."

Amelia Miles introduced Frost and Sarah, signaling the little ones to greet them.

"Hello Uncle Moore, Hello Auntie Moore, Hello sister."

The two little ones greeted them in unison.

Frost smiled, "Hello, you both look exactly alike, two handsome little guys."

Sarah stared at the two little ones, "Let me guess, whoโ€™s the older brother and whoโ€™s the younger brother."

Actually, she could tell at a glance who was Charlie and who was Bea.

But she couldnโ€™t straightforwardly call out their little names, she could only pretend to guess.

"Youโ€™re Charlie and youโ€™re Bea, did I guess right?"

Sarah asked with a smile.

The two little ones exchanged a look and nodded.

"Yes, Auntie, youโ€™re amazing to guess it right away."

Of course she could guess it.

Because sheโ€™s their godmother!

Sarah screamed in her heart, gently rubbing the two little onesโ€™ heads with a tender expression.

The two little ones looked at her, both blinked.

They both felt this aunt was very dear.

Just like their missing godmother.

"Hmm hmm."

The little munchkin being held by the nanny shook a little, staring at the two little ones with big, grape-like eyes.

Their gaze fell on the little munchkin.

"Sister is so cute."

Bea grinned at the little munchkin, saying.

Dominic Hawke, who was usually less talkative, just nodded at the little munchkin.

Sarahโ€™s lips curved in a playful tease, "Really? Sheโ€™s called Coco, if Bea thinks your sister is cute, why donโ€™t you make her your future wife?"

If the Moore Home could form a connection with the Hawke Family, that wouldnโ€™t be bad.

"Hehe, Auntie Moore, Iโ€™m still young."

Bea scratched his head, smiling shyly.

Sarah couldnโ€™t hold back her laughter, continuing to tease, "But you and your brother look exactly alike, Iโ€™m afraid Coco might mistake you for someone else."

"Uh, she wonโ€™t. Brother is not talkative, definitely not likable to girls."

Bea glanced at Dominic mocking him.

Dominic immediately looked at him with disdain.

Bea blinked, lifting his little chin, "Brother, donโ€™t be upset, am I not stating the facts? In school, the girls only talk around me."

Brother is too cold.

At first, the little girls at kindergarten tried to approach him too.

But brother, with his stern face, would throw away the gifts the girls gave him into the trash bin. The girls never tried to entertain him again.

They all surrounded him, offering kindness.

Receiving gifts was a daily occurrence.

Ah, itโ€™s also a troubling matter.

"A bunch of childish brats, those girls chirping like sparrows in your ear every day, donโ€™t you find it noisy?"

Dominic, with a cool little face, wore an arrogant expression.

"Not at all, they speak softly, so cute."

"Hmph, watched since you were little, youโ€™re just a flirtatious brat, stay away from me, donโ€™t let people mistake me for you."

"Iโ€™m not a flirtatious brat. Brother, youโ€™re the one with a stiff face."

"Thatโ€™s called being manly."

"Iโ€™m the gentle type."

"..."

The two of them were bickering back and forth, making Sarah laugh out loud.

Her godsons, still as amusing as ever.

How long has it been since she laughed like this?

Craig Landers quietly watched her, his attractive almond-shaped eyes flickering with an indecipherable light.

"Alright, alright, you two stop quarreling, letโ€™s go eat."

Amelia found it equally hilarious, pulling each of them by hand, and walked out of the private room with the rest of the people.

The clubhouse had food, but Craig Landers had reserved a table at a five-star hotel earlier.

A group of people entered the reserved room and took their seats one after another.

Damon Hawke casually chatted with Frost Moore about business matters, while Amelia helped Sarah tease the children.

Craig Landers glanced at Sarah, gesturing to the servers to add two more dishes.

This five-star hotel was part of The Lockwood Groupโ€™s assets.

This five-star hotel, he and Leia Quinn had also been to.

Those two dishes were Leia Quinnโ€™s favorites.

Would Sarah like them?

The dishes gradually arrived, while Sarah occasionally chatted with the two little ones, asking about their situations and giving them dishes they loved, compensating for the loss of not seeing each other for so long.

Craig Landers listened silently to their conversations, his gaze occasionally landing on Sarah, noting that the dishes she ate most were the ones he later ordered.

Even their tastes were so alike?

Craig Landers looked at Sarah, "Miss Mercer seems to have a sweet palate?"

Daniel Wilkins favored stronger flavors, and the dishes were tailored to his taste.

So half of the dishes on the table were mild, and half were heavily flavored.

While Sarah ate purely the mild ones throughout the meal.

Is she truly a Moore?

Sarah was startled, glancing at Craig Landers.

Upon seeing his deep, midnight-colored eyes, she felt a tremor within.

Fixating her gaze on her chopsticks, she suddenly understood something.

Had Craig Landers discerned something?

Was he testing her?

And she, unguarded, was eating quite freely.

"Iโ€™m not picky, while in college, I made a good friend, sheโ€™s from the south, every meal favored southern tastes, over time, I developed a southern palate too."

Sarah spoke calmly.

Craig Landers gazed intently at her, his lips curving into a smile.

"I see. But Miss Mercer is truly considerate, you gave the twins dishes they liked."

The twins had different tastes, one liked mild, the other a bit stronger.

He had been observing Sarah, she never gave them the wrong dish.

Sarahโ€™s heart skipped, glancing over Ameliaโ€™s investigating face, she smiled faintly.

"Elly mentioned the twinsโ€™ tastes during our chat in Vexia, so I remembered."

Amelia thought for a moment and nodded, "Yes, I did mention it, didnโ€™t expect youโ€™d remember so well."

"Elly, you forgot Iโ€™m a psychologist and I have kids, naturally I pay attention to them."

Sarahโ€™s demeanor remained calm, seemingly unfazed.

"Miss Mercer is a psychologist, what a coincidence, my wife is also a psychologist, perhaps you could exchange experiences when the chance arises."

Craig Landers stared at Sarah, adding another remark.

Sarahโ€™s smile froze, her fingers gripping the chopsticks tightened reflexively.

He mentioned his wife?

So composedly!

A flash of memory from the highway, calling him in despair, passed before her mind.

Answered only by a cold female voice.

She wished to appear unconcerned, yet her emotions were unsettled, barely controlled.

She had said, if thereโ€™s a next life, she hoped to never meet again.
