Chapter 376: Chapter 376: It’s Better to Have Hope Than None

Hearing this, Amelia Miles furrowed her brows slightly.

"Yes, I have the same feeling, but she is Brooke, not Kiki."

"She had an accident, and with today’s advanced technology, even Gu can be used on people."

Craig Landers added another sentence.

Amelia’s steps paused, and she looked at him somewhat hesitantly and asked, "Are you suspecting Brooke is Kiki?"

Craig didn’t speak, but something flickered in his upward-slanting peach blossom eyes.

"No way, I’m Kiki’s best girlfriend. If this person were really Kiki, she couldn’t hide it from me."

Amelia shook her head and said.

She hadn’t ruled out this possibility.

But that was Sarah Moore, the daughter of the Moore family.

How could the Moore family do such a thing as switch people?

Moreover, she’s Kiki’s best friend.

If Sarah Moore were indeed Kiki, she couldn’t possibly not secretly tell her, right?

"I’m just speculating."

Craig Landers massaged his tired brow and said lightly.

Amelia looked at his handsome yet haggard profile, hesitant to speak.

In her heart, she still blamed him. If it weren’t for him, Kiki wouldn’t have disappeared.

But seeing him like this, imagining a stranger who somewhat resembled Kiki as Kiki, she couldn’t help but sympathize with him.

This period of time hasn’t been easy for him either.

Where exactly is Kiki?

Could it be Sarah Moore?

"Mommy!"

A child’s voice pulled Amelia’s thoughts back.

It was the voice of her sons!

Amelia quickly turned around, looking at the two little ones running towards her, full of surprise.

"Charlie, Bea, why are you here?"

"Dad’s location showed he’s here, so we had Uncle Driver bring us over."

Dominic Hawke’s eyes sparkled as he enjoyed Amelia’s affection and said.

"Yeah, Mommy, I missed you so much."

Bea was more straightforward, hugging Amelia’s waist, acting cute and spoiled.

Amelia’s heart melted, and she affectionately kissed the two little ones again, full of relief.

As long as Frost Moore cured Damon Hawke’s illness, their family of four would be reunited.

"You two are so grown up yet still act cute, you’re like little girls."

Craig Landers, feeling neglected on the side, teased, then strode towards the private room.

"Uncle Wayne is annoying."

Bea was called a sissy and pouted.

"He’s not in a good mood, just ignore him."

Amelia ruffled their soft hair and took their hands as they headed to the private room.

"Mommy, is the miracle doctor here? Is Daddy’s illness cured?"

Dominic, more concerned with the real issue, looked up and asked.

Amelia thought about Frost Moore’s words, and her heart tightened slightly.

They still needed to find a matching new host.

It’s a major challenge.

But having hope is better than having none.

"Don’t worry, Daddy’s illness will be cured."

"Yeah, Mommy, once Daddy’s illness is cured, our family can be together," Bea said.

Amelia smiled gently and entered the private room where Damon was.

In the private room, Damon was still busy.

The two little ones happily called for Daddy, and Damon set his work aside and chatted with them for a while.

Amelia watched the father-son interaction with a face full of satisfaction.

Her gaze fell on Craig Landers, who was playing with a lighter, sitting inattentively on the sofa, lost in thought.

Perhaps he’s thinking about Leia Quinn.

Amelia sighed softly in her heart.

Just then, Damon’s phone rang.

Amelia glanced at it, her fingers instinctively curling slightly.

The phone displayed the name Victoria Don.

Victoria Don was calling.

This vicious woman, how she wished she could tear her apart.

Damon glanced at the phone, then looked up at Amelia.

Amelia pursed her lips, "Why not answer it?"

Damon’s attractive lips curled up, reaching out to her.

Amelia, not understanding, still placed her hand in his palm.

Damon pulled her to sit beside him, one arm wrapping around her waist as he answered the call with the other.

The familiar, pleasant scent of the man filled her nose.

Amelia blinked, slightly tilting her head to look at the man’s firm jawline.

He’s actually holding her?

Didn’t he dislike her?

"Hello?"

Damon restrained the urge to pull his hand back, focusing on the call.

"Tom, where are you?"

Victoria Don’s soft voice came through the call.

"I’m at a social gathering, what’s up?"

Damon replied flatly.

"Nothing, just missed you. Come back soon."

Victoria Don said softly.

Damon gave a brief acknowledgment and hung up the call.

Amelia played with his well-defined hand, teasing jealously, "Mr. Hawke, she misses you, shouldn’t you quickly go back and accompany her?"

She already knew that Victoria had just been discharged.

Because she was taken to the police station, she was so frightened that she fell seriously ill, pretending to be dead every day in the hospital.

Thinking of Victoria Don being terrified enough to wet herself in fright, Amelia felt a burst of satisfaction.

"Jealous? I am quite obedient, whatever you say goes."

Damon chuckled, ruffling Elara Don’s hair before he couldn’t resist any longer and released her hand.

Amelia felt the cooling temperature in her hand, also knowing Damon’s limit had been reached.

She sighed, moved slightly away from him, and gathered the two little ones into her arms.

"It’s like I’m a domineering girlfriend. If you want to go back, I’m not stopping you."

"I wouldn’t dare."

Damon smiled, "I’m afraid the two little treasures in your arms would kill me with their eyes."

The two little ones mentioned glared at him.

"Daddy has some self-awareness."

"Yes, Daddy seems very virtuous at the moment."

"..."

They were standing up for their father.

Amelia said, "Don’t be deceived by him. Who knows if he secretly gets cozy with someone behind your backs."

"No way, Mommy, we watch him every day."

"Yes, Mommy, if he dares to secretly get cozy with a bad woman, we won’t talk to him."

"..."

Watching the family of four interact, Craig Landers felt both envious and jealous.

He cleared his throat. "Your family is really something. If you’re going to show off your affection, can you not do it in front of me? Don’t forget you still have guests to entertain."

If Leia Quinn hadn’t disappeared, a year later, he’d have such a warm family atmosphere too.

"Right, it’s getting late. I’ll call Brooke and ask them to come down for dinner."

Amelia checked the time and called Sarah Moore, indicating for her and Frost Moore to come down for dinner.

Sarah agreed, and Amelia hung up the phone.

Craig Landers silently walked over to her, taking the phone from her.

Amelia was startled, then saw Craig inputting Sarah Moore’s number into his own phone.

Is he still suspecting Sarah Moore is Leia Quinn?

Amelia pursed her lips, something flickering in her eyes.

Soon, Frost Moore and his sister came down with the little one.
