Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 347: Don’t Regret It
Upon hearing Victoria Don’s words, Cole Hawke let out a cold laugh and couldn’t be bothered to respond to her.
He looked toward Damon Hawke, "Tom, you go to the Grant Family to sign the contract for me."
Damon Hawke frowned slightly, thinking of Elara Don, momentarily lost for words.
Upon hearing this, Victoria Don quickly said, "Mr. Hawke, Tom’s body hasn’t fully recovered yet. It’s not easy for him to travel far and wide, why not let me go instead?"
She couldn’t let Damon Hawke take charge of the Grant Family’s project.
Though he had Gu within him, she simply didn’t like seeing Damon Hawke and Elara Don in contact.
"You go instead?"
Cole Hawke wore a mocking expression, took a contract, and tossed it to Victoria Don, "Sure, but first, tell me what the significance of this contract is?"
Victoria Don took the contract and flipped through it, of course, unable to understand it.
She mumbled incoherently, unable to make sense of it, and instantly turned to Damon Hawke with a look seeking help.
At this moment, the secretary general entered to report on work.
Cole Hawke said, "Miss Thorne wants to be Mr. Hawke’s secretary, so she may become a member of your secretary’s office in the future. Secretary General, you’re a veteran in the office, take her out to familiarize her with the workflow. Remember, train her well, don’t half-ass it. I will check, and if I find you cutting corners, then don’t bother being the secretary general anymore."
The secretary general’s heart skipped a beat and quickly agreed.
Cole Hawke looked at Victoria Don, "Victoria Don, I shouldn’t need to comment on your recent performance, right? If you want to help Tom, you must first have the skills for it. Go, learn well from the secretary general, strive to become Tom’s assistant as soon as possible."
Victoria Don glared at Cole Hawke, feeling like she was hoisted by her own petard.
She wasn’t here to learn to be a secretary; she was just here to keep an eye on Damon Hawke!
"Tom..."
"No ’Tom,’ get out!"
Cole Hawke interrupted Victoria Don’s words and shouted sharply.
Victoria Don was startled, and before she could speak, the secretary general swiftly went over and pulled her out.
"Miss Thorne, please leave with me."
Although she didn’t understand the situation, from her insight, it seemed Mr. Hawke didn’t care much for Victoria Don.
He intended to let her be sorted out!
Victoria Don reluctantly left the door, realized, and called out with a face of grievance at the door, "Tom."
Damon Hawke unconsciously raised his eyes, meeting her aggrieved gaze.
His heart tightened again, making him want to get up to take care of her, to comfort her.
Cole Hawke grew impatient and kicked the door shut.
Victoria Don let out an "Ah," and there was silence outside.
Annoying woman.
Cole Hawke cursed in his heart, his expression relaxing slightly.
He looked at Damon Hawke, seeing him staring at the door, unsure of what he was thinking.
"Tom, what, seeing me drive her away, your heart aches?"
Aches for her?
Damon Hawke touched the area of his heart, seemingly still able to feel its throbbing pain.
Was he truly in love with Victoria Don?
It seemed that as soon as she was aggrieved or shed tears, he couldn’t stand it.
Only wanted to comfort her properly.
But whether this feeling was real or illusory?
"Looking at you like this, why do I find it so infuriating?"
Seeing Damon Hawke silent, Cole Hawke suddenly felt a surge of frustration.
"Fine, I won’t trouble you. I’ll go to the Grant Family to sign the contract myself. From now on, I’ll be the one dealing with Elly, so you’d better not regret it."
If it weren’t for Helen tying him down now, he would actually be glad to see this situation.
Damon Hawke and Elara Don separated, and he’d have a chance.
Look at yourself, truly lacking guts.
In less than a month, he was tied down by a shameless woman.
Actually worrying about his romantic rival!
His face was hit so hard it stung.
Cole Hawke spat at himself, stopped bothering with Damon Hawke, and opened the door to the Grant Family.
Damon Hawke said nothing, his dark eyes like a deep sea, dark and unruffled.
Outside.
Victoria Don was ordered around by the secretary general to do various tasks, like a tea-serving girl.
"Victoria Don, this tea isn’t made right. Were you listening to me carefully?"
"Victoria Don, are you a brainless brute? I said people’s preferences are different, and the coffee’s intensity varies too."
"Victoria Don, do you have to be so stupid? Can’t even use a shredder?"
"..."
Victoria Don only felt her head buzzing, surrounded by words like stupid, silly, foolish.
She was about to explode with anger.
She was here to keep an eye on Damon Hawke, not to be messed with.
"Enough, don’t think you can order me around just because you’re the secretary general. I’m Damon Hawke’s beloved woman; I’m here to take care of him, not to do these chores. I’m done."
Victoria Don flung the documents to the ground, her face full of anger.
The secretary general moved her lips, hearing her claim to be Damon Hawke’s beloved woman, she dared not act recklessly.
After all, it’s Damon Hawke.
Everyone in Hawke Group held him in reverence.
Thus, of course, dared not go against the woman he liked.
Though doubting inwardly whether what Victoria Don said was true, she did come with Damon Hawke, suggesting some truth to it.
"Don’t want to work, then get lost."
A woman’s voice came from behind. As the group turned their heads, they saw Helen holding documents, entering the paper room.
Victoria Don glared at her, "Who do you think you are, making orders here."
"I’m no one, just can’t stand seeing a shameless woman like you."
Helen rolled her eyes at her, looking towards the secretary general, "Secretary General, your teaching was not bad, continue. As long as you teach by your method, I’ll apply with Mr. Hawke to double this month’s bonus."
How she loved watching the secretary general sort out Victoria Don!
This was definitely Cole Hawke’s order.
He truly was the man she liked, suiting her perfectly.
But even if the secretary general didn’t sort out Victoria Don, today she wouldn’t let her have an easy time.
"Thanks, Helen."
The secretary general felt delighted inside, knowing well the extraordinary relationship between Helen and Cole Hawke, promptly agreed.
Then said to Victoria Don, "Victoria Don, what are you still standing around for? Hurry and pick up the documents for me."
Victoria Don was so furious she could explode, glaring at Helen, "Helen, don’t wield your authority foolishly! Cole Hawke just sees you as a stand-in, what are you feeling pleased about?" 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞
"That’s my issue."
Helen started the machine to copy documents, "Victoria Don, don’t try to sow discord. You should think more about yourself. If you don’t want to be messed with by us, it’s best to wisely leave Hawke Corporation and the Hawke Family. Otherwise, you’ll suffer in the future."
Victoria Don glared at her, turned around, wanting to leave.
"Secretary General, if an employee refuses discipline, what do you think should be done?"
Helen asked, glancing at her.
"Can proceed with termination." The secretary general quickly responded.
"Oh, Victoria Don, are you sure you want to refuse discipline?"
Helen picked up the copied documents, smilingly asked.
Victoria Don’s steps hesitated, her face alternating between pale and flushed in anger.
She did want to defiantly walk away.
But she also understood that if she truly walked away, the Hawke Family would certainly find ways to prevent her from seeing Damon Hawke again.
That wasn’t her original intention.
