Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 308: I Love You Very Much
Damon Hawke took the nearest flight back to Sea City.
Rhun Quinn drove over to pick him up.
"Have you found my mom yet?"
"Reporting to Mr. Hawke, the young mistress is safe right now, and she’s with Mr. King."
Rhun Quinn opened the car door for Damon Hawke and reported to him.
Damon Hawke got in the car and asked, "Have you found out who kidnapped her?"
"It was Uncle Henry."
Henry Harris?
Without any reason, why would he kidnap Vinny Hawke?
Damon Hawke’s dark eyes narrowed slightly, "Check his activities in the past two days, see who he’s been in contact with."
Henry Harris must have been instigated by someone.
After all, the Netherworld Organization has already gone legit, and Henry Harris started his own ventures, his business is a new underground enterprise in Sea City.
Some wealthy people looking to handle unspeakable matters would definitely go to him.
He suspected that the person behind Henry Harris’s kidnapping of his mother might be connected to the Miles family.
Perhaps it was Gabriel Miles’ idea.
"Alright."
Rhun Quinn agreed, looking at Damon Hawke’s tired face in the rearview mirror, "Mr. Hawke, you look a bit worn out, why don’t you take a nap in the car?"
Damon Hawke rubbed his temples and murmured a response.
He hadn’t slept all night, worrying about his mother’s safety while thinking about a multitude of other matters, and now he felt truly exhausted.
Let him take a short nap first.
Damon Hawke began to doze off.
He didn’t know how much time passed when he heard Rhun Quinn’s somewhat tense voice.
"Mr. Hawke, I think we’re being followed."
Damon Hawke was already falling asleep but was abruptly woken by Rhun Quinn’s words.
Someone is following their car?
Who could it be?
Damon Hawke looked back and indeed found two cars tailing them.
"Mr. Hawke, one of the cars has armed men."
Rhun Quinn’s face turned serious, and he accelerated.
Damon Hawke’s heart skipped a beat, and an ominous thought crossed his mind.
"Looks like someone wants me dead. Rhun, speed up."
Who could it be?
Who wants him dead?
All signs pointed to Gabriel Miles wanting him gone the most right now.
Because he had discovered his secret.
Could it be that he hired a hitman?
He had been careless!
"Okay."
Rhun Quinn sped up the car.
At this point, the phone rang inside the car.
Damon Hawke picked it up and glanced at it, a gentle look flashing in his eyes.
It was a call from Elara Don.
The young woman must be worried about his safety, so she called as soon as she woke up.
Damon Hawke watched the scenery fly by outside the window and answered Elara Don’s call.
"Elly."
"Tom, have you landed yet?"
The electric current carried Elara Don’s slightly hoarse voice.
She must have just woken up.
Damon Hawke’s mouth curved slightly, "Yes, I’ve already landed."
"Mm, is there any news about your mom?"
"She’s alright, don’t worry."
Damon Hawke replied.
Just then, the car jolted, and it started skidding uncontrollably to the side.
The tire had blown!
Damon Hawke gripped the handle beside him tightly, clenched his phone, and pressed his lips together.
He glanced at the pursuing cars behind them, listening to the woman’s faint breathing through the current, he closed his eyes and his Adam’s apple bobbed.
"Darling, I don’t know why destiny brought us together, maybe it’s to make me aware of your existence, to give me a woman to care about in this lifetime."
"Actually, you’re not breathtakingly beautiful, there are plenty of women outside more beautiful than you, so what did I see in you?"
"Darling, I love you so much! Do you love me the same way I love you?"
The people behind had weapons, today he might not escape unscathed.
It’s truly a pity, they had just solved a big hassle, he thought they could finally be happy together as a family, but unexpectedly, he might not have the time to stay by her side anymore.
Elly, darling, remember to love him!
"Tom, what’s wrong? Did something happen?"
Elara Don’s voice came through the current with a hint of confusion, mixed with tension and urgency.
"Darling, you haven’t answered me, do you love me too?"
The car jolted again, and Damon Hawke tightened his grip on the phone, watching as the car slithered like a snake.
"Mm, of course I love you too. Tom, tell me, did something happen?"
Elara Don replied anxiously, pressing for more information.
Damon Hawke smiled, as he watched the car uncontrollably head toward the cliff edge, he said, "Elly, take care of our son! I won’t let anything happen to me!"
He had so much to tell her, but he had no time left.
With a bang, the car crashed through the guardrail and leaped off.
"Rhun, jump at the right moment!"
Damon Hawke pulled open the car door and yelled at Rhun Quinn.
Rhun Quinn tensed up and responded with a nod.
The car nosedived rapidly, tumbling in mid-air.
The two cars chasing them came to a halt at the accident site for a few seconds, and upon hearing the explosion from the valley, they quickly left.
Country F.
Elara Don sat on the sofa, her emotions surging upon hearing the dial tone from the call.
What did she hear at the last moment?
Damon Hawke was shouting for Rhun Quinn to jump out of the car!
Something happened!
Did something happen to Damon Hawke!
Elara Don swallowed, her fingers trembling slightly as she dialed Damon Hawke’s number again.
But the phone only indicated that it was turned off.
Why is his phone turned off?
What on earth happened!
"Mommy, what’s wrong?"
The two little ones rubbed their eyes and ran out of the bedroom, asking drowsily.
Elara Don raised her eyes, looked at her eldest son, and quickly asked him to come over.
"Charlie, didn’t you install a tracking system in your dad’s phone? Quickly check where he is now?"
Hearing this, Dominic Hawke perked up, quickly took his computer, and started searching for Damon Hawke’s location.
"Huh, isn’t this the deep mountains of Sea City? Why is dad’s phone located there?"
Dominic Hawke blinked, his expression slowly turning serious.
"Mommy, did something happen to dad?"
Elara Don’s eyes reddened slightly, she moved her lips, wanting to say something, but her throat felt blocked, making it impossible to utter a word.
"Mommy, don’t worry, let’s quickly contact grandpa and grandma in Sea City."
Bea urgently cautioned from the side.
Elara Don nodded, took a deep breath to suppress her inner panic, and found Vinny Hawke’s number.
The Hawke Family elders aren’t in good health, she’s afraid calling them now might cause trouble.
First, she should contact Vinny and hope she can get through.
The phone rang a few times before finally being connected.
"Elara Don?"
"It’s me, Miss Hawke, something might have happened to Tom..."
On the other end, Vinny Hawke was at Andrew King’s place.
Upon hearing Elara Don’s words, she abruptly sat up from the bed.
"What did you say, something might have happened to Damon! Got it, I’ll hang up now."
Vinny Hawke threw off the covers and rushed to the living room bare-footed.
"Kyle, something might have happened to our son!"
"..."
