Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 259: You’re Giving Up Even Your Son?
His wife!
That title is no longer appropriate now.
Elara Don internally scoffed and, catching the menacing gaze of Cole Hawke, sneered slightly.
"Craig, I forgot to mention that Damon and I have already broken up. His wife... won’t be me in the future."
Elara glanced at Evelyn Miles standing behind Damon Hawke and quickly walked away.
This Damon, how is he with Evelyn?
Don’t tell him that he wants to turn a fake breakup into a real one, and cozy up with his ex while pretending to split with her?
If that’s the case, she won’t let him off easily!
"Elly, where are you going? Wait for me."
Leia Quinn saw Elara leave and quickly followed her.
Cole Hawke heard Elara’s words and glanced at Damon Hawke with a sullen face, smirked slightly, and also followed out.
Wayne Landers had his mouth half open, clearly in disbelief.
He looked at Damon, "Damon, what’s going on? Did you break up? Seriously?"
Damon didn’t speak, wanting to chase after her.
But suddenly his arm was held by Evelyn Miles.
"Wayne, you better not ask, give Tom some time to digest this."
Evelyn smiled at Damon, "Tom, we’ve been out for a while now, Uncle is still waiting for us, let’s head back."
Damon suppressed his urge to take her hand off, mumbled in agreement, and left with Evelyn.
"No way, Damon, you guys..."
Wayne Landers gaped at their backs, extremely shocked.
Did his old friend really break up with Elara?
And turn around to reconcile with Evelyn?
Why doesn’t he believe it?
Outside, Elara said to Leia with a smile, "Kiki, go inside and enjoy yourself, I’ll head back first."
"How can I leave you like this? I’m going back with you."
Leia held Elara’s hand, looking worried.
"No need, I’m really okay, don’t worry."
Elara patted Leia’s hand, seeing Wayne hastily come out, she smiled and said, "It’s your and Craig’s wedding night today, don’t let me ruin it."
"Elly."
Leia had no interest in the wedding night; she just wanted to get clarity on the situation.
Wayne came up to them and asked, "Elly, what are you and Damon up to? Didn’t you already meet the parents? Why are you breaking up again? What about Charlie and Bea? What will happen to them?"
"They are the descendants of the Hawke Family, so of course, they will live with the Hawke Family."
In the corner of her eye, Elara saw Cole Hawke watching her from not far away and replied with a faint smile.
"You’re not taking your son?"
Wayne asked in shock.
"It’s not that I don’t want them. I believe they will have a better life with their father. I am still their biological mom."
Elara didn’t want to explain further, "Enough, Damon and I will handle our own matters, you two don’t need to worry. Craig, make sure to treat Kiki well. If I find out you mistreat her, I won’t forgive you."
"Don’t worry, I will definitely treat my wife well."
Wayne put his arm around Leia’s shoulder, assuring her.
"Then I’m at ease, you guys go inside and enjoy yourselves. I’ll be off."
Elara hailed a cab by the roadside, waved goodbye to them.
"Elly, if anything happens, give me a call."
Leia wished she could go with her but stayed back.
She knew Elara was decisive and sensed there was an underlying reason behind her breakup with Damon.
"Cindy, did Elly and Damon really break up? I find it hard to believe. Did she mention any hidden stories to you?"
Wayne asked thoughtfully.
Leia pulled his hand away, looking resentful.
"It’s all your fault. If it weren’t for you, I’d be living with Elly now, and she would surely tell me everything."
Wayne: "..."
This is quite the unjust blame!
How did he get blamed for this?
"Cindy, you can’t be like this. How am I at fault?"
"Why not blame you? You’re an outsider, Elly definitely worries you have loose lips and would never tell me the truth."
"When did I have loose lips? Cindy, I’ll call Damon right now to ask what’s going on."
"..."
Not far away, Cole Hawke watched Elara leave alone in a car, started his car, and followed her.
Arriving at the entrance of Blue Sky Apartments, he parked by the roadside, grabbed Elara, who was about to enter the apartments.
"Elly."
Elara knew he had been following her all along and coldly shook him off.
"Cole Hawke, I’m in a bad mood, don’t provoke me."
Cole wasn’t annoyed, "Elly, I know you’re in pain now, but it’s only temporary. Once you shift your gaze, with time, you’ll realize I’m better suited for you than he is."
Upon hearing this, Elara paused, "Cole Hawke, don’t waste your efforts. I’ve told you before, even without Damon Hawke, I’d never like you. Because I despise self-righteous, vile and shameless men."
She despises him!
Cole watched Elara walk briskly away, face darkened.
He’s never done anything to hurt her; he simply wanted to be with her.
How is he self-righteous, vile, and shameless?
She’s just venting her anger now, but he believes that, with time, she’ll see his good side!
Houghton Club.
After entertaining Gabriel Miles and others, Damon was ready to leave.
"Tom, you should give Evelyn a ride."
Gabriel glanced at Damon, being quite satisfied with his behavior today.
Didn’t expect Damon to finally break up with Elara.
He knew that in the end, men couldn’t resist the allure of power and profit.
"Alright."
Damon nodded slightly, signaling Evelyn to get in the car.
Evelyn was overjoyed, after greeting Gabriel, she got into the car with Damon.
Rhun Quinn started the car, driving it forward.
Damon didn’t speak, instead, he leaned back in the rear seat, closing his eyes to rest.
His mind was filled with the image of Elara.
Why on earth did this little woman want to break up with him?
Was someone threatening her?
A cool sensation on his head made Damon suddenly open his eyes, his gaze icy cold.
Evelyn was startled by his glare and awkwardly withdrew her hand.
"Tom, are you feeling unwell? I just wanted to massage you a little."
The man’s gaze was terrifying!
He was practically treating her as an enemy!
"I’m fine, sorry, I was just thinking about some work, did I scare you?"
Damon softened his tone slightly, retracting his chill.
"It was a bit scary."
Evelyn said delicately, wanting to cuddle close.
Damon straightened up, took out his laptop, appearing ready to work.
Evelyn leaned halfway over, then quietly sat back down.
There’s a long way ahead, now that Damon and Elara have broken up, she will gradually reclaim Damon’s heart again!
