Daddy, You Got The Wrong Mommy-Chapter 250: They’re Getting a Marriage Certificate
Watching Cole Hawke walk away, the smile on Elara Don’s face slightly faded.
Cole’s words had a hint of provocation in them.
He didn’t think much of her being with Damon Hawke.
"Elly, did you know Cole Hawke likes you?"
Damon Hawke tightened his hold on Elara Don, lowering his eyes to look at her.
Elara Don’s eyes shimmered, "Tom, I only see him as a senior. I’ve made that clear to him."
So Damon knew about this?
Hopefully, he won’t get jealous out of the blue.
"Ah, having a wife who’s too outstanding is troublesome."
A troubled voice rang out from overhead, making Elara Don pause and look at the man’s furrowed brow, bursting into laughter.
"Stop babbling. I’m not as outstanding as you are. You’re the coveted target of countless heiresses in Sea City. I feel like there are countless swords pointing at me."
"Is that so? Then, dear wife, you’ll have to satisfy me well in the future. Only if you fulfill me will I not have the energy to look at others."
Damon Hawke smiled, his words carrying hidden meaning. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
"You perv, so in your eyes, I’m just an outlet for your desires?"
"Wife, you can’t say it like that. Only when I’m well-fed by you can I have the energy to build a better life for us."
"..."
Laughing and joking together, Vinny Hawke walked in with a stern face.
Elara Don glanced at her, uncertain how to greet her.
The Hawke Family’s elders were quite kind to her.
But Vinny was different.
"Sis, you’re back."
Damon Hawke greeted Vinny.
Vinny didn’t even glance at him and walked straight inside.
Her attitude, clearly still upset.
Elara Don sighed inwardly, thinking thank goodness she’s just her sister-in-law.
If she were her mother-in-law, her future wouldn’t necessarily be bright.
"Don’t look so glum. My sister’s just rough on the outside but soft on the inside. She’ll appreciate you in time."
Damon Hawke consoled Elara Don upon noticing the lack of a smile on her face.
Elara Don curved her lips slightly, saying nothing.
"Tom, Elly, I’ve picked three dates. Take a look and see which one you’d like for the wedding?"
Madam Hawke gestured for Damon Hawke and Elara Don to check the auspicious dates she chose.
"Coming."
Damon Hawke led Elara Don into the living room, sitting next to Madam Hawke.
"Take a look. There’s one at the end of this year, one early next year, and one in the middle of next year."
Madam Hawke smiled, handing over the selected dates to the pair.
Damon Hawke took them, and before Elara Don could express her opinion, he said, "End of this year."
He wanted to marry Elara Don as soon as possible, how could he wait for next year?
"Isn’t the end of the year a bit soon?"
Elara Don hesitated slightly and asked.
"Not soon at all! There are more than three months until New Year’s, I even find it late."
Damon Hawke squeezed Elara Don’s hand, leaned closer, "Wife, don’t you want to become my bride sooner?"
His tone softened deliberately, with a hint of seduction.
Can’t this person be more serious and refrain from such talk in front of Madam Hawke?
Elara Don glared at Damon Hawke, catching Madam Hawke’s smiling gaze, she lowered her eyes feeling uncomfortable.
Not far away, Cole Hawke watched the scene, clutching the water cup tightly.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Vinny Hawke coming downstairs, her expression just as unpleasant. He slowly walked over, calmly saying, "Auntie, grandpa and grandma are indeed getting on in years, and their planning might be lacking. Perhaps expecting their child in old age, as long as Uncle gets married that’s enough, without considering if his wife can be his competent help. Elly’s good, but for the two together, they really don’t match."
The words made Vinny’s expression even worse.
Cole’s words indeed hit her sore spot.
Damon Hawke was not truly a Hawke Family descendant.
The elders hadn’t taken it wholly into account.
And she, as a mother, couldn’t intervene in her son’s marriage.
The frustration was stifling!
Watching Vinny’s face, Cole Hawke smirked slightly.
Wondering if Vinny would still trip the couple up, but he definitely would!
He wouldn’t just watch Elara Don marry Damon Hawke.
"Next weekend’s date isn’t bad either. Why don’t the two of you go ahead and get the marriage certificate first?"
Madam Hawke’s voice reached his ears.
Cole Hawke abruptly looked at the few on the sofa, fingers clenching.
They’re going to get the marriage certificate?
He wouldn’t let them have their way!
...
The wedding date for Elara Don and Damon Hawke was set, Leia Quinn was truly happy for her.
Heard Damon Hawke was having a wedding dress specially customized for Elara Don, she squeezed in some time at noon to choose wedding dress styles with Elara Don at the bridal store.
"Elly, why are you choosing a wedding at year’s end? It’ll be so cold then, wearing a wedding dress will be miserable."
The two arrived at a custom shop, Leia Quinn looked at the magazine the guide handed over, complaining.
"No choice, Tom picked it."
Elara Don believed the same, but she couldn’t decide.
Someone was too eager, couldn’t wait to put her in a wedding dress.
Seeing Elara Don’s sweet appearance, Leia Quinn smiled and pinched her face.
"Look at you, now looking so deferential to your husband, how silly."
"I don’t!"
Elara Don giggled, pulling Leia Quinn’s hand away, "Kiki, you’re my bridesmaid, quickly pick a nicer dress. When I throw the bouquet, I’ll throw it precisely to you."
"I don’t want the bouquet, don’t want to marry so early."
Leia Quinn said with a pout.
"Really? I’ll wait for someone to get slapped in the face."
"Elly, what do you mean?"
"Exactly what you think it means!"
"..."
The two laughed and joked. Just then, the door was pushed open and someone walked in.
Leia Quinn glanced unconsciously, and upon seeing the two who entered, her smile stiffened.
Ran into acquaintances.
"Kiki, should I choose this set?"
Elara Don selected a wedding dress, asking Leia Quinn.
Seeing her gaze return from afar, she subconsciously looked ahead.
The newcomers were a man and a woman.
Couldn’t be counted as Leia Quinn’s family, but were familiar people.
When Leia Quinn was young, her parents divorced.
She followed her mother in marrying a stepfather.
The stepfather had a son, which was the man who came in, named Nick Hook.
He liked Leia Quinn, and once forced Leia Quinn’s mother to divorce his own father to be with her.
Nick’s father was wealthy and fickle, finally divorcing Leia Quinn’s mother.
But Leia Quinn didn’t like Nick Hook, she always avoided him.
"Yeah, whatever you like."
Leia Quinn smiled, "I’ve picked one too."
"Then let’s wrap it up for today."
Elara Don knew Leia Quinn didn’t want to meet Nick Hook, wisely preparing to leave with her.
"Kiki, you’re back in the country!"
Nick Hook saw Leia Quinn, excitedly approached her.
