Cultivation Through Artifacts-Chapter 341 - Contribution Points
"This place provides with the best herbs or medicines in this Sect." Elder Rene explained calmly as he stood next to Khal, his silver eyes fixed on the small sign above the entrance.
"I see, thank you." Khal nodded slightly and without any further hesitation walked inside the building with Elder Rene following him from behind.
'Damn... The smell is quite pungent in here.' Khal lowered his brows into a small frown when he walked inside, having a slight discomfort from the intense aroma that pierced his nostrils the very moment he walked inside.
But of course, such a nose-twisting smell was not a huge surprise at all as the whole place was filled with different kinds of herbs and medical pills, each emitting a different fragrance and odor.
"Welcome to Thousand Herb Garden! Oh? Elder Rene? Long time no see my friend, haha!" a man in his mid-forties and with a well-built body stood behind a small desk, his face holding a wide grin as he glanced at Elder Rene before shifting his attention at Khal on his side.
"As for you... I have never seen your face before, you must be someone new here, right?"
Khal, who was scanning the surroundings with apparent affliction, glanced at the man behind the desk and nodded before clasping his hands together before his chest. 𝙛r𝚎𝐞𝑤𝚎𝗯𝗻𝗼𝐯e𝚕.𝒄𝐨𝓂
"Indeed, I have just become a Core Disciple."
"Oh? A Core Disciple?" the man raised a brow in surprise but seeing that Elder Rene said nothing and just stood on the side with a nonchalant face, he touched his chin and asked, "I see. Then what do you wish to buy."
Hearing the question, Khal didn't hesitate and took out a small note before handing it over to the man.
"Do you have these items?"
Taking away the note and inspecting each and every one of the listed items, the man widened his eyes slightly before raising his gaze at Khal and asked, "Do you really wish to buy all of these? I hope you are not just trying to pull a prank on me, kid."
Almost every item that was present on the small piece of paper held great value and was top quality among their types without a question! Just a single one among them could be sold for tens of thousands of Gold if not hundreds!
For instance, there was a type of item on the list called Rainbow Ginseng, a herb that could grant immunity against all the five primary elements for anyone that consumed it.
However, that only applied to ordinary Rainbow Ginsengs. As for a thousand-year-old Rainbow Ginseng could make anyone give birth to one of the five main elements inside their bodies, that they could control and use at will in the future as though it was the very extension of their bodies!
And such an extremely rare herb, which could cause a ruckus among anyone in existence, was present on the list, something that needed tens of thousands of Contribution Points at the very least!
"Kid... I don't want to disappoint you, but all these herbs are..."
"Expensive. Yeah, I know that." Khal said with a nod and continued, "But I have more than enough to buy all of them, so can you please tell me if you have them in your store or not?"
The man looked surprised, but soon narrowed his eyes and asked, "I do have all of them, yes, but I think you still underestimate their real value, kid. Although you have just become a Core Disciple, having greater benefits than those in the Inner or Outer Court, you still have to pay hundreds of thousands of Contribution Points in the end and maybe I have still told you a small amount with that."
Contribution Points. A form of money that can be used only inside the sect to buy things one desired to obtain, let it be items, clothes, weapons, or even food. They were a special currency that could be obtained through either selling things, accepting missions, or trading.
And how many Contribution Points does Khal, someone who has just joined the sect not quite a long time ago? Well, the answer is...
"I have a little bit more than a million Contribution Points, a million and three hundred thousand to be exact. Will that be enough for all those herbs or not?"
The man behind the desk crossed his arms before his chest and began to laugh wildly.
"HAHAHAHA! You are quite the funny guy kid! Over a million Contribution Points? Even if you were a part of this Sect for a decade and done missions all day would not be enough for you to accumulate that much! Hahaha! But at least you have tried i-"
"He is telling the truth, Cruz. So quit laughing already and give him what he wants."
Suddenly, a soft but indifferent voice appeared from the side, halting Cruz from laughing any longer and look rather startled instead.
"Wait... You are telling me he truly has that many Contribution Points even though he just became a Core Disciple?" Cruz asked Elder Cruz on the side, his voice still holding a hint of doubts.
"Didn't I just say that?" Elder Rene raised a brow slightly, looking at Cruz as if he was someone dumb.
"B-But how?" Cruz shifted his gaze back at Khal, looking at him in a completely new light now. Anyone that could accumulate that many Contribution Points were either extremely hard-working or...
As he reached that point with his line of thought, Cruz's eyes immediately widened like saucers, and asked, "Y-You have exchanged Golden Coins for Contribution Points?"
Khal remained silent when he heard the question but still showed a slight smile to make the man in front of him know that his guess was indeed right, or at least half right as what he sold was not his Gold Coins but the different weapons and items he obtained from the vault back in Planet Thov.
With all of those, his position in wealth literally skyrocketed, becoming the fifth richest individual in the sect, only slightly behind Senior Lin and three other Sect Elders!
