Chapter 438: Naming Babies Is Really Hard

Qian Meng was kept at the hospital for four days before she was allowed to go home. During this time, Qian Meng had a hard time moving around. The C-section was not a horrific experience, but she was still very weak from the experience. Mo Qingchen was forever the sweetheart, helping her move around, go to the bathroom, and then to the neonatal care unit where the babies were.

She met a lot of parents there and had wondered what kind of parents they would be. The parents were worried about their child's health. Some bemoaned the cost of hospitalization.

These events made Qian Meng grow. She had always known how hard it was for others to ensure a good life for their kids, but now that she had three babies of her own to take care of, she saw the struggle in a different light.

Her children would never suffer financially. Even though they were triplets, Mo Qingchen and Qian Meng had spared no expense to make sure the pregnancy was ideal so that they had safe births.

Though they were in a high care situation, they were born healthy. They would need to be monitored for a while and the cost would be enormous for a normal family.

She was privileged as were these babies.

As Mo Qingchen had mentioned, she grew to think her children beautiful. It was her love as a mother and straightforward denial that she could give birth to ugly babies that made her brain see the potatoes are cute little creatures. But she refused to let those rational thoughts in her mind.

Settling into the role was easy. She felt like a mother and Mo Qingchen was nothing but the best father.

But strangely, she found herself at a loss when it came to the names. Nothing fit.

Mo Qingchen, obviously, was of no help either. "What do you think of Java as a name?"

Yes, there had been several moments in her marriage that she had wanted to punch her husband, but this was one time she came very close to actually doing it.

"Java is better than C++, at least," she ground out through her teeth. Mo Yize, who was staring at the faces of her nieces and nephews looked up and snickered.

"Why did you ask him for names? He can't even name fish, you expect him to come up with good names for his own children?" she snorted. "Aren't you scared he will pull an Elon Musk on you and name his child something that you will regret?" she questioned.

"I trusted him not to go too far. But I was clearly wrong," Qian Meng responded, sounding irritated. "What is your inspiration for naming the children?" she asked, turning to Qingchen.

"Something to do with our field of expertise and love," he commented loudly.

"And what does Java have to do with us?" Qian Meng questioned, her eyes widening.

Qingchen blinked. "I like programming."

"I don't!" Qian Meng protested. But his words sparked an idea. "You are not reserved about naming your children culturally appropriate." If Java had said anything, it was that. "Let's go with your idea of amalgamating our interests and get some nice names."

Of course, she pulled out her phone and did a search. About an hour of back and forth and they finally decided on three names. f𝐫ee𝘄ℯ𝚋no𝐯𝐞l.c𝘰m

"These names… how did the two of you come up with them?" Mo Yize sighed. She had thought Qian Meng would be better, but these names… weren't the best?

"Our kids. They can be a little embarrassed for now. But when they grow up, they can change their names legally if they want," Qian Meng swore. Mo Qingchen nodded, agreeing with her completely.

Hence, the name of the three children stood as such. The eldest daughter was named Sia after the Egyptian goddess of intellect and technology. The middle child, their second daughter was named Neith, the Egyptian goddess of weaving, war, and hunting. And their youngest son was named Rex. His name meant 'king' in Greek, but actually, there was a hidden nod to Mo Qingchen's love for programming. It was a programming language, an audio file format, and remote execution software.

Hence, the components of their work and personality that they liked were used to name the children.

When they posted about the children on social media (obviously not sharing pictures), the names confused people.

Some mentioned that the couple was too unique in their mindset. Some commented that the names sounded like heroes from ancient plays.

Others were just happy that their favorite couple had kids.

'Pass on the excellent genes!' They had done the world a service.

Safe to say, some people felt sad for the youngest who was named Rex. He was definitely going to be mistaken for a pet dinosaur for the rest of his life.

For the first time in a long time, Mo Qingchen and Qian Meng were alone.

"How about we go to bed?" Mo Qingchen asked. Qian Meng clenched at the suggestion alone.

"I never thought you would ask."

He smirked deviously, even though his eyes showed signs of exhaustion. "Then why are we still out here?"

Clearly, he wasn't messing around, because he quickly darted up, practically knocking her out of the way. Qian Meng laughed as she looked up at him. He bounced around like a little kid who had to pee but quickly remembered the shower she didn't have the time to take that morning.

After fussing with the babies all day, there was no way she was letting him near her treasure trove without one.

"Qingchen, I need a shower." ƒ𝘳ee𝔀e𝚋n૦𝐯el.c𝗼𝓂

"So do I," he answered as he extended his hand to help her up. "What a happy coincidence."

They raced to the shower like a couple of horny teenagers and weren't any better once they got there. It was a struggle to keep their hands off each other long enough to scrub their bodies and difficult to do it while they were making out.
