Chapter 401: Never Break Her Duty
"Li Jun?" Qian Meng asked, not sure what to say. "They met each other at the wedding but I didn't know they were on speaking terms," she muttered.
"Yes, I don't think it is a private call, Boss. I just wanted to inform you in case your brother was planning something without your knowledge."
Li Min was one to distrust the intentions of others easily. Qian Meng was the same in most cases, but not when it came to her younger brother.
She had seen him grow up and recently, he was taking more initiative. He wanted to show that he was all grown up and could take care of others instead of the other way around.
She remained silent for a moment. "Thank you for letting me know. I will give him a call."
She pressed her lips together and wondered what the little boy was up to. She sighed and dialed his number. He picked it up immediately, seemingly waiting for her call to come.
"Finally," he breathed into the phone without greeting.
"What are you doing?" she asked. She knew he knew what she was talking about.
"I spoke to your lawyer. He will be calling you anyway."
Qian Meng frowned. "I don't want to hear about this from the lawyer. I want to hear what is going on with you. Why did you want to talk to him?" she questioned.
Qing Yuan tutted. "Just trying to help. I thought high and low about what to do. And I have come to the conclusion that I am siding with you. I don't know what else to do than to give my shares to you."
Qian Meng stiffened. "You are not going to give me your shares," she countered firmly.
Qing Yuan was startled. "Don't you need them to win against Father?" he asked innocently. f𝐫𝑒𝗲𝙬𝒆𝚋𝐧૦𝘃𝗲l.c𝚘𝘮
Qian Meng sighed. "They are yours. I need your support, not for you to transfer your shares to me," she explained. "You have a right by blood to it. It's not worth much right now, but it is your pension if you so wish."
"But… dad… he will find a way to persuade me. Or force me," he groaned.
"You have some understanding of your nature, then," Qian Meng stated. "But you are trying to grow up. I understand." She was silent for a minute. "I promise that your shares will be worth much more than they are now."
"I trust you," Qing Yuan responded immediately.
"Yes. So, trust me to win against Father without taking your shares," she tried to reason with him. "There are many ways to this than the method you have come up with," she acknowledged. "Li Jun will find a better way to ensure both our rights on this, understood?" she said.
She didn't want to think too deeply about her brother's decision. He was young and rash in showing support. He would regret it later on. Therefore, as his older sister, it was his responsibility to teach him and manage his exuberance.

With her seven percent in Yun Corporation and the three percent from the VP, she had a stronghold on the company, but not enough to override Yun Sui Bo's authority.
For that, she would need Qing Yuan's share. And even his mother's. But that was the main issue. Jiang Xin would never give up her shares.
Unless Qian Meng used her impatience and greed to her advantage. And she had an idea to execute it.
Right now, her father was swamped at the office, surrounded, and couldn't come to the phone to call. It was the perfect time to get everything under control.
She recounted the names of the people who her father couldn't hang up on and then to the people who person who could convince Jiang Xin to sell her shares.
If she wasn't wrong, Jiang Xin's financial planner was the one whom Qian Meng used when she was a teenager. He was recommended and handled the accounts of people in his family for a while.
But the man had a deep disdain for the Yun family, especially because Qian Meng's father was a tyrant and rarely treated people with the respect they deserved.
Qian Meng sighed.
Right now, she needed to fix so much. The moment she entered her office, she was on the phone with Li Jun.
"I heard that my brother called you," she started without greeting.
"He did," he said lightly. "What is your decision on the matter?"
"I don't want to buy the shares from Qing Yuan. Once I restore and reform the company, the share prices will stabilize. It's financial security for him. Instead, we need to find a temporary solution that makes sure he is on my side legally. Can you ensure that?" she asked.
Li Jun thought for a minute. "It's possible if you are his legal guardian. But he is eighteen years old and considered an adult so you can't sign as a guardian." He paused. "But if he signs over power of attorney rights to you, you can take defined actions on behalf of Yun Qing Yuan."
Qian Meng hummed. "It's common amongst the elderly but he is a teenager."
Li Jun explained further. "You will be the financial POA. You have access to his financial accounts to pay for health care, housing needs, and bills. You will also have to file taxes on behalf of him. And investment decisions. That is what you want, right?"
Qian Meng frowned deeply. "I don't want that much control. I only want control over his shares in Yun Corporation."
"We can make that happen," he said easily. "As long as you don't go against the interest of Yun Qing Yuan or break your duty in his interest."
It wasn't even a thought worth mentioning. "That is fine for me. With Qing Yuan busy with school, we need to find a time when he is free to talk to us about it and see what he thinks about this matter."
Li Jun sighed. "Understood. I suspect there is something else that you want me to look into as well," he prompted.
Qian Meng smirked. "Caught me," she stated. "I need you to call my previous financial adviser and place a share acquisition proposal to him for Jiang Xin's shares in Yun Corporation."
"Anonymous buyer, yes?" he asked casually. Qian Meng could hear him typing aggressively in the background.
