Chapter 196: Can’t Get Over the Brother Gag

[OMG, what happened? Am I hearing things, why is there a man’s voice!!!]

[Where is she, Mia, where is she, come and explain to us.]

[I feel like my heart has been hit hard, isn’t this all too exciting!]

This is just about as exciting as it gets.

The comments were scrolling by at lightning speed, leaving people speechless.

Even without looking, Mia Sutton knew the livestream chat was blowing up. It was as if a deep-sea bomb had been dropped in there, the effect was incredible, practically flipping the whole chat room upside down.

Jensen Sterling noticed something was off the moment he saw Mia rushing over, even pausing for a moment in the middle of changing his shoes.

His gaze swept across the living room and finally landed on the computer not too far away.

Mia ran over, her face full of panic, and leaned close to Jensen, speaking in a very low voice, "Mr. Sterling, I’m streaming live, I didn’t know you’d be back so soon."

The two of them were so close that Jensen could even feel the warm breath of the girl speaking brushing against his neck, tickling him slightly.

Mia’s eyes were fixed on him, softly seeking his opinion, "So what should we do now?"

Mia really hadn’t expected Jensen to come back so soon. She thought it would take at least three or four hours since friends usually take their time at dinner, so why had he returned after just about two hours?

Her initial plan was to finish the livestream, call her brother, and then enjoy some shrimp and bubble tea — utterly perfect happiness.

Now, though, perfect happiness had turned into a sudden shock.

Seeing her looking all demure and troubled, as if pondering what the solution could be, Jensen asked gently, "Should I say I’m your brother?"

Mia’s eyes instantly brightened, "Oh right, that works." Then she quickly ran back to sit in front of the computer.

Initially, Mia had thought of claiming it was a staff member bringing her dinner, which could be believable.

But saying it was her brother was not bad either. After all, someone wasn’t pretending to be her brother for the first time; with enough practice, it almost came naturally.

As Mia sat back in front of the computer, she quickly adjusted her expression, looked at the screen, and said to the rapidly scrolling comments, "Slow down, I can’t even read them."

"Why is there a man at my place... oh, that’s my brother."

She said it so openly, without any mental burden.

"Don’t you guys remember? Last time during the ’Shining Stars’ show’s live broadcast, I called him. Didn’t you remember?"

The fans in the livestream recalled her mentioning this and thought: Oh, right, they remembered, it did happen.

They had thought Mia had a boyfriend, turns out it was a false alarm.

Of course, there were still some who loudly declared their disbelief.

Mia: "You don’t believe... well, if you don’t believe, that’s fine. I can’t force you to believe, right?" Hell, even I don’t believe it myself. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

"Can your brother show his face?"

Mia: "..." Show his face, really? What are you thinking, wouldn’t that give everything away?

Would she really let herself mess up like that? No way!

"No face reveal, my brother isn’t in this industry, what’s there to show? Isn’t watching me enough for you?"
