Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 159: I Don’t Like You Alive
After Jensen Sterling drove away, Mia Sutton prepared to return to the program crew. Just as she was about to go in, a voice came from behind.
"Is that your new boyfriend?" The voice was low and deep.
Hearing this, Mia turned around and saw a nearly fully armed person behind her. Mia: "..."
"Who are you!" It’s the middle of summer and you’re wrapped up like this, aren’t you hot!
The person paused for a moment, then took off the mask: "Mia, it’s me."
After taking off the mask, the person was none other than Martin Wright.
Upon removing the mask, Martin looked at Mia and then recalled the person in the car earlier. To be honest, the distance was quite far, and Mia had blocked most of the view just now, so he didn’t get a clear look at the person inside.
Why does it always feel inexplicably familiar?
Mia: "..." Dude, are you joking, it’s been so long, why do you keep haunting like a ghost, can’t you be a proper ex, why do you have to play dead, can you stop with this shady stuff.
Mia took two steps back, crossed her arms over her chest, looked at him with a half-smile, and said, "Does whether he’s my boyfriend have anything to do with you?"
Martin instinctively wanted to retort that it absolutely had something to do with him, but then he remembered that Mia wouldn’t like such questioning, so he swallowed back his words, then lifted his eyes and asked, "Mia, did you delete me from WeChat?"
Because of his pride, he hadn’t messaged Mia for a long time. Recently, he couldn’t hold it back and sent a message, only to find out that he was no longer her friend!
Martin: "....."
Mia paused for two seconds, tilted her head, and said confusedly, "Oh, that, yeah, I deleted it. I have a boyfriend now, keeping your contact would make him unhappy. Also, not only WeChat was deleted, but your phone number is blocked too. Is there a problem with that?"
We’ve broken up, should I keep you around until New Year or something!
Martin’s face instantly darkened. Seeing that person had already put him in a bad mood, and now Mia’s words made him feel even worse.
With a sullen face, Martin asked, "What exactly is so good about that guy that made you do this? After all the time we spent together, I don’t believe you can just let it go."
Mia’s expression also turned cold, her eyes swept over him a few times, and then she let out a cold laugh: "Our relationship?"
"We had a relationship?" Mia’s eyes were icy as she stared at him, as if she were looking at a stranger.
"Martin, are you confused? When did we ever have such a thing as a relationship? All those past things, I just didn’t bother to fuss about, it didn’t mean I’d moved on from them, understand?"
Seeing the situation, Martin was angry, but he knew that more than being angry, he just wanted Mia back. It’s not that he didn’t love her, he just realized it too late.
"Mia, I know, the past was my fault. I’ll change in the future, everything you don’t like, I’ll change, just come back."
Mia glanced at him indifferently, lifted her eyelids, her red lips parting slightly, and said word by word, "I don’t like you living, can you change that."
Martin: "..."
He wanted to say more, but Mia didn’t want to tangle with him and waste her time. She just didn’t understand why, with this time, he didn’t go after his white moonlight instead of seeking trouble with her.
