Chapter 147: So Sad to Be Single

After Mia Sutton and Jensen Sterling left the Sutton Family home, Mia let out a huge sigh of relief and slumped back into the car seat. She needed a moment to recover.

Jensen Sterling opened the car door and saw the scene, letting out a light chuckle. The little girl looked like she had just survived a great trial.

Jensen stepped in and sat down, reaching out to tidy up Mia’s slightly messy hair.

Mia was momentarily stunned but then obediently lowered her head, letting him do as he pleased.

Once he finished, Mia blinked her big, beautiful eyes twice before smacking her lips. Mr. Sterling was such a nice person.

After settling in, Mia checked her phone for the time. It was still early, so she wondered what to do next. Should she head directly to the show crew or find somewhere to hang out?

It only took Mia two seconds to decide between the two options. Going back to the show crew would be so boring, while going out would be so much fun.

There was no comparison!

So, let’s go have fun!

Then she turned her head to ask the person next to her, "Mr. Sterling, what are you going to do later? Do you have any work appointments?"

If not, it would be perfect to hitch a ride with him.

Absolutely perfect!

For today’s family meeting, Jensen Sterling wore a suit, every accessory meticulously chosen, even styled his hair. Wherever he stood, he was the center of attention.

He had since taken off his suit jacket, leaving only a white shirt, complete with a tie.

Jensen loosened his tie and unbuttoned his shirt cuffs, rolling up the sleeves, shedding the formal demeanor for a more relaxed vibe.

This look was even more alluring.

Hearing Mia’s question, he slowly turned his head and seriously said, "Yes."

Mia: "..."

"What job?" she asked curiously.

Hadn’t he mentioned yesterday there were no work arrangements today? She had just been asking out of politeness.

Seeing the little girl looking at him earnestly, Jensen’s lips curled up. He extended his hand, fingers slightly bent, and gave her forehead a gentle flick.

He said nothing.

Mia lowered her head, rubbing her flicked forehead, and murmured, "Oh, okay then, I’ll be off first."

Saying that, she made a move to get out, only to have her wrist caught by him, hearing him laugh, "Where are you going?"

Mia looked back at him in confusion. You’re going to work, so what’s the point in me staying?

"Sit tight, no work plans. I’m taking you to a shop."

Mia blinked and let out an "Oh," then sat properly.

Leo, sitting in the front, felt like a super bright third wheel once again, illuminating the whole space.

"Drive," he was instructed.

Leo hit the accelerator, eager to drive and disappear quickly.

The car cruised along the road, finally stopping at a mall.

Jensen put on a mask, then casually took out a new one and naturally helped Mia put it on. Mia felt a slight tingling sensation, like a current running through her.

Once he helped her put it on, he gave a satisfied nod and said, "Alright, let’s go."

Leo in the front: "..."

His desire to find a wife just got stronger. Being single felt so sad~

Jensen led Mia out of the car and towards the mall.

Mia knew this place, filled with high-end luxury brands. She would sometimes come here for a stroll.
