Contract Marriage: Let's Make It Real, Mrs. Sterling!-Chapter 120: Economic Base Determines the Superstructure
The girl’s eyes shone brightly as she looked at the person next to her, her eyes full of affection, twinkling like stars in the sky, dazzlingly bright.
Even though those present might consider Mia Sutton just a little celebrity, whose career couldn’t possibly compare to Jensen Sterling’s, the flagrant affection made them somewhat envious of Jensen.
Who wouldn’t like such love?
After asking, Nolan Sinclair realized he was being redundant; given how things had been stated, asking was indeed unnecessary.
But Jensen Sterling still answered, "Well, we got married because we liked each other."
Then he raised his gaze and told the staff, "We’re not planning to go public for now, so we hope everyone can keep it a secret for us."
"Hahaha, of course... of course..." the group laughed and said. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Even if given ten guts, they wouldn’t dare. There hadn’t been a peep about the marriage, a clear sign they didn’t wish to make it public—if it got leaked, it would be easy to pinpoint who did it, as only a few people were present.
They weren’t stupid enough to bring trouble upon themselves.
Then they saw Jensen Sterling lower his head and gently ask the girl beside him, "Did you finish your work here?"
Upon hearing this, Mia Sutton turned to look at Nolan Sinclair, not even giving him a chance to speak.
Nolan Sinclair: "Done."
Then they saw the girl let out an "Oh," tilt her head sweetly, and say to the man beside her, "All done."
"Do you want to come with me then? I have another scene to shoot later; we can head home together afterward?" the man’s voice carried an inquiry.
Mia Sutton: "I won’t disturb you?"
Jensen Sterling looked up and ruffled her hair: "You won’t."
Because Mia Sutton had long hair, she didn’t wear a wig, and her hairstyle was simple, with not many hair accessories, making it soft and pleasing to the touch.
"Alright then, wait for me, I’ll go change clothes."
After Mia Sutton spoke, she headed to the dressing room, even quickening her pace as she felt Jensen Sterling was waiting outside.
When she came out, she found everyone else was already gone; some were still packing up equipment, each busy with their own tasks.
Jensen Sterling was standing under a big tree not far away, dressed in a military uniform, standing straight without leaning on the tree.
For a moment, Mia Sutton felt like she was looking at a real soldier.
Snapping back to reality, she marveled again, thinking he was so handsome, a face she wouldn’t tire of even seeing every day.
Meanwhile, on the other side, when Jensen’s gaze caught Mia Sutton, he put down his phone and watched as the girl ran toward him.
Watching her run over, for a moment, Jensen felt she might throw herself into his arms.
In reality, she didn’t; Mia Sutton stopped right in front of him, neither too close nor too far, just right.
"I’m all ready." Then she glanced around the surroundings and asked in confusion, "Have they all left?"
Jensen Sterling: "Who?"
"Nolan Sinclair and them."
Jensen Sterling looked down at the girl in front of him, her eyes showing disappointment, which made him purse his lips slightly, then he casually asked, "Do you have something to ask them? Want me to find out for you?"
Mia Sutton said sheepishly, "I haven’t discussed how we’re getting paid yet."
Upon hearing this, Jensen Sterling’s fingers twitched slightly as a hint of amusement appeared in his eyes, "How can you be so money-minded?"
Mia Sutton puffed up her cheeks and said, "Economic foundation determines the superstructure, as Marx said."
Jensen Sterling: "..."
