When he heard that it was about business, Sima Long slapped the back of his head and said, "I should be doing more and helping out too.

Lin Xuan Qi frowned and flicked his finger onto her forehead when he saw her face blush and her looking away from him.

"What are you thinking about? Did you get anything to eat?" He shook his head and asked.

Yue Xin nodded her head while they walked towards the main hall.

"We’ve asked the guards to buy food and I’ve got ingredients ready for dinner."

"Ingredients for dinner?" That got Lin Xuan Qi worried and he asked.

"Don’t worry. I’ve learned a lot from Auntie Sue before the trip." Yue Xin stood with her hands on her hips and said proudly.

Lin Xuan Qi had never seen her cooking or tasted her culinary skills before and he glanced over at Liu Shi Shi for help.

Liu Shi Shi shrugged her shoulders at him.

She wasn’t one to be so picky about food.

And there was something she was more interested in.

"So, were there any new poems written during the gathering that I should know of?"

Lin Xuan Qi frowned at her and said, "I don’t even have tea yet..."

"Fine." Liu Shi Shi poured a cup of tea for him and gestured for him to sit next to her.

Yue Xin quickly got next to him and said, "I want to hear it too."

He picked up the teacup and downed it in a mouthful, glanced at Liu Shi Shi and said, "I will let you know depending on how it is tonight."

After which, he turned and glanced at Yue Xin and said, "As for you, I will let you know depending on how the dinner is."

Liu Shi Shi’s heart thumped and her face flustered.

She didn’t know what he meant by ’how it is tonight’ but she kept quiet and didn’t protest about it.

Yue Xin on the other hand was not too pleased.

She stomped her feet and said, "Not fair. Why does sister Shi Shi get to know it during the night while I will have to settle for a dinner."

Lin Xuan Qi frowned and glanced at both of them.

He shook his head and said, "What were you thinking about?

"Why are you blushing Shi Shi?

"I meant that you will know if the security detail is well coordinated for the night.

"And Yue Xin, what were you thinking I would be doing with Shi Shi during the night?"

"You..." Both of them rolled their eyes at him and he burst out in laughter.

Nothing beats teasing them for Lin Xuan Qi.
