Georgia’s POV

"It’s time to choose!" Vicky said, leaning back in her chair with a playful groan. "My goodness, we’re only at the salad course, but I feel like I’ve eaten enough for a week!"

"Really? Not me," I said with a grin. "I could still go for more. What’s next, Andre?"

Candice chuckled softly beside me. "Not so fast, Georgia. You need to choose which salads you want to include on your menu first."

"Oh, right!" I exclaimed, earning a few laughs.

Nick immediately chimed in, his teasing tone as smooth as ever. "Sorry, everyone. My bride here is just too excited to eat. I swear I’m not starving her at home."

The whole room burst into laughter, and I playfully elbowed him. "If I gain weight before the wedding, it’s Andre’s fault," I shot back, making everyone laugh even louder.

Nick glanced at his tasting notes, pretending to be serious. "Alright, I think I’ll go with the Mixed Green Salad with Mixed Berries Purée Dressing. The younger ones in our entourage will love this one."

"I agree," I said. "This is something Katie would enjoy too. And I’d like to add the Beet Salad with Goat Cheese and Candied Walnuts—it’s got that perfect sweet-and-savory balance."

"Who will choose the final one then?" I asked, looking between Vicky and Oliver.

Oliver raised both hands in surrender. "I’ll let Vicky decide. I don’t trust myself with salads." 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

That sent us into another fit of laughter, and Vicky just shook her head. "You’re hopeless," she said, smiling. "I’ll pick the Edible Flower Salad—but Andre, can you switch the dressing to something sweet and citrusy? The Tarragon Vinaigrette might feel too strong for most people."

Andre nodded appreciatively. "That’s noted. Please make sure to write it down on your sheet."

As the servers began clearing our plates, I leaned back with a happy sigh. "If every wedding decision was this delicious, I wouldn’t mind doing this every day."

Nick chuckled, setting down his fork. "Should we hire a chef once we move into our new house?"

My eyes widened, and I gave his arm a quick squeeze. "Oh gosh, no! That would be way too expensive. I can cook for us—and I’m sure Wendy would love to help out too, she loves cooking. No need to spend extra," I said with a laugh.

Vicky dramatically threw her hands up. "Why are you so lucky, huh?!" she said, pointing her fork at Nick. "If you ever hurt Georgia, I’ll be the first one to come after you!"

Nick grinned. "Noted," he said with a playful tone. "But don’t worry—I don’t plan on giving you a reason to."

Before anyone could tease us further, Andre clapped his hands softly. "Ready for the main entrée?"

"Yes!" I said eagerly, leaning forward as the servers arrived with the next course. Just like the salads earlier, each main dish was served on a rectangular platter divided into six small squares, each holding a beautifully plated sample.

"First row," Andre began, gesturing gracefully, "we have Filet Mignon, Prosciutto-Wrapped Halibut, and Celeriac Lasagna. On the top row—Red Wine-Braised Short Ribs, Chicken Saltimbocca, and an Eggplant Parmigiana Stack. Please take your time tasting each one."

The table fell quiet as everyone focused on their plates. The only sounds were clinking forks and small hums of approval as we tried each dish. Andre and his team stood nearby, patiently waiting for our verdicts.

"Ooohh..." I murmured after a bite. "The vegetarian dishes are both really good. This might be the toughest round yet."

Oliver pointed at the Eggplant Parmigiana Stack. "Can I choose that one?" he asked. When I nodded, he added, "Coming from a non-vegetarian—that’s saying a lot. It doesn’t even taste like vegetables. If Andre hadn’t told us, I’d never have guessed."

"Then Eggplant Parmigiana it is," I said, marking it down on my sheet as everyone nodded in agreement.

"I’ll go for the Red Wine-Braised Short Ribs," Nick said, glancing around the table. "It’s a solid choice—everyone from the young ones to the elderly will love it."

"Perfect," I said. "And for the last one... maybe the Chicken Saltimbocca? We already have seafood for the appetizers and soup."

Everyone murmured their agreement, and Andre smiled approvingly.

"And lastly, the dessert," Andre announced with a cheerful grin. "Yesterday, the ladies already narrowed down the list. Today, let’s finalize it."

The servers brought in a three-tier dessert stand, and oh my goodness—each layer looked like something straight out of a dream. My eyes probably sparkled like a child’s on Christmas morning.

"On the top layer," Andre continued, "we have Sourdough Egg Tart, Creamy Lemon Meringue Tart, and Miniature Fruit Tarts. The middle layer features Lavender Crème Brûlée, Classic Tiramisu, and Zabaglione with Fresh Berries. And on the bottom layer—New York-Style Cheesecake with Berry Coulis, Chocolate Lava Cake, and Earl Grey Infused Chocolate Mousse. Please, enjoy."

If heaven had a scent, this was it.

"I am so full!" Vicky groaned, leaning back dramatically in her chair after having small bites from each dessert.

"Same here," Oliver added, patting his stomach. "Even if those were tiny portions, that was a lot of food."

Nick laughed softly. "I haven’t eaten this much since college."

I blinked at the three of them, completely baffled. Their dessert trays were still half full—how could they be done already when I was just getting started?

"What are you two going to choose?" Vicky asked, looking between me and Nick.

Nick turned to me, still nibbling on a bite of tiramisu, while I shamelessly eyed the untouched Earl Grey Mousse on his tray.

"What do you think, babe? What should we add to our final menu?" he asked, amused.

"All," I said instantly. "Let’s add all." Then I pointed at his tray. "Also... are you going to finish that mousse?"

Nick raised a brow but then chuckled. He slid the little cup toward me. "Here. You can have it."

As I happily took it, he said in a gentle tone, "You don’t have to please everyone, you know. It’s impossible to pick something that caters to everyone’s taste."

I spooned up the mousse and smiled at him. "I’m not thinking about everyone else. These are for me. Happy bride equals happy groom—and that leads to a happy life. So yes, let’s add them all."

Everyone at the table either laughed or stared at me in disbelief, but I didn’t care. I had my menu complete, my man, and my wedding desserts all sorted out. What more could a girl want?
