Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!-Chapter 200: Brainless
Ruby Sullivan saw that he spoke so casually and just assumed that this Azure Hollis person wasn’t anyone important. She casually wrapped her arms around his neck and laughed, "I’m not a kid, not that childish, and I haven’t lost anything that I need to avenge."
"Oh, so Ms. Sullivan is such a forgiving person, huh?" Ethan Sterling teased her.
"I’m just okay, only the third in the world." Ruby repeated an old cliché and couldn’t help but laugh.
Ethan Sterling put her down on the concrete path, noticing that it was about time, so he took a shortcut out of the park and walked along the road back to the car.
By the time they returned to the hotel, the groom had already arrived and was making a ruckus in the bride’s room.
Ruby Sullivan was curious about the bad ideas the others had listed, so she dragged Ethan Sterling upstairs to join the fun. When they arrived, the groom was wearing a grass skirt with a fake durian-shell bra, dancing the hula as instructed by a video, while someone recorded him. The bride wouldn’t let him stop until she was satisfied.
The groom was also here to get married as part of an arranged affair. Initially, he didn’t resist the marriage so much considering Dina Finn’s good looks, but he didn’t expect his wedding day to turn into such chaos.
Under the mocking gazes of everyone, he finally couldn’t endure it, put on a serious face, and spoke with a bad temper, addressing Dina, "Is this ever going to end?"
The host beside him also tried to smooth things over, "This is the most dedicated groom I’ve ever seen. It seems he must truly love the bride to pamper her like this. We’re almost out of time, so let’s move on to the next event."
Dina Finn just wanted to show the man who was boss, not to ruin the marriage. Just as she was about to relent, that Azure Hollis spoke up, "They agreed to dance until the bride is satisfied. The bride hasn’t said anything yet, so why move on to the next step? Yvonne Finn, if you don’t seize the power now, you won’t have such privileges in the future."
The groom glared at her, rudely saying, "Yvonne, where did you find this bridesmaid? Is she trying to stop you from getting married or just looking for drama? Did she leave her brain at home?"
Azure Hollis blushed, "How dare you speak like that?"
Dina Finn glared at her, boiling over at the groom’s demeanor, "Didn’t you brush your teeth this morning when you left the house? Do I have to report where I found my bridesmaid to you?"
The host, sensing the tense atmosphere, began to sweat and quickly asked the camera operator to stop, "Both of you, calm down, and everyone else, say a little less. Today is a joyous day; let’s not let such a small thing ruin our moods."
The groom took a deep breath, tossed the durian aside, sneered, and said nothing more.
Dina Finn squinted her eyes at him, said indifferently, "If you don’t want to get married, then don’t. Don’t force yourself." She was stuck, but if this man dared to back out at this point, it wouldn’t be a bad thing for her.
The groom smiled, looking at her but speaking to the host, "Let’s move on to the next step."
"Alright, our cameraman is ready. Groom, please kneel on one knee and help the bride put on her shoes."
Though the groom and bride didn’t smile again afterward, under the host’s relentless effort, the subsequent process went smoothly.
Because the entire wedding was held at the hotel, the traditional step of fetching the bride was just about getting her from the fifteenth floor to the first floor.
The ceremony was to take place on the hotel lawn, so after the bride came downstairs, she began to change clothes and touch up her makeup.
Ruby Sullivan and Ethan Sterling went downstairs first. Given Azure Hollis’s actions, Ruby was even less inclined to have any connection with her and believed what Naomi Sinclair said—she really wasn’t doing it on purpose; she was just someone without a clue, who probably didn’t even know what it meant to do something deliberately.
Before the ceremony started, many guests had already arrived at the hotel. Although it was someone else’s wedding, it was almost like everyone was here to socialize. After greeting the Finn family’s patriarch, Ethan Sterling found a less crowded place to sit for some peace.
Soon, Leon Sterling arrived, with Sasha Shaw by his side.
Wanting to find a quiet place as well, they promptly spotted Ethan Sterling and Ruby Sullivan.
He told Sasha, but she didn’t immediately hurry to find her friend. She looked at Leon Sterling, "Are you... going to be awkward?"
"Of course not." Leon Sterling held her hand, "Let’s go say hello. You want to see her too, right?"
Ruby Sullivan was dumbfounded when she saw Leon Sterling and Sasha Shaw hand-in-hand in front of her. She was speechless for a long while, "Oh my god!"
"Aren’t you going to congratulate me?" Sasha looked at her with some shyness, surprisingly showing a girlish expression.
Ruby Sullivan was smitten by her friend’s expression, "Of course, congratulations!"
She stood up to hug Sasha, "Oh my god, I don’t have to worry about you staying single anymore!" Then, leaning close to her ear, she whispered, "You better give me a full account later."
"I know." Sasha also laughed.
Ethan Sterling knew they hadn’t seen each other in ages and must have a lot to say, so he wanted to leave them to it. Just as he was about to leave, Naomi Sinclair came over, dragging Azure Hollis with her.
She was actually forcing Azure Hollis to apologize to Ruby Sullivan, not expecting Leon Sterling to be present as well.
She was thrilled at the unexpected stroke of fortune, pinching Azure’s arm as a warning, "Don’t say anything stupid later; Leon Sterling is my new target."
Azure Hollis, though in a bad mood, didn’t dare to contradict Naomi’s wishes, "Alright!"
"Mr. Sterling, Don." Naomi Sinclair greeted the two cheerfully.
Seeing her, Leon Sterling felt like she showed up at just the right time, immediately putting an arm around Sasha’s shoulders, turning her to introduce, "This is my girlfriend, Sasha."
Naomi Sinclair’s expression froze as she incredulously curled her mouth, "You’re not joking, are you?"
"Sorry, the reason I kept rejecting you is that the person I like is Sasha. I just confessed to her recently. We’ve known each other for a long time." Leon Sterling said, looking down at Sasha, his eyes filled with affection.
Naomi Sinclair stared at them blankly, still not knowing what to say.
Her previous standard had always been to sleep with anyone she could, be they with a girlfriend or wife, but now, looking at this newfound girlfriend of Leon Sterling’s, she felt somewhat insulted.
Even if Sasha was an actress, it was something she couldn’t accept!
While she was at a loss, Azure Hollis, standing behind Sasha, frowned and stepped forward to scrutinize Sasha, "Haven’t we met somewhere before?"
Having experienced her sharp tongue before, Ruby Sullivan feared Sasha might feel constrained in front of Leon Sterling. Since they were in love, maintaining a little image was necessary. So, before Sasha could speak, she took over, "Sasha is a renowned designer; her photos often appear in fashion magazines. It’s no wonder you find her familiar."
Azure Hollis smirked maliciously, "I mean face to face."
