Chubby Mommy: Scheming Daddy, Surrender Now!-Chapter 140: You Old Hag with a Short Life
"Who said my cooking is bad?" Standing at the door of the ward, Vivian feigned unhappiness and said.
Honey, in a panic, covered her mouth with her little hand, blinking her big eyes, realizing she said something wrong.
Seth Sterling didn’t mind, "My sister is just telling the truth, Mom’s cooking is indeed better."
Vivian walked over and gently poked his forehead, "You’re already showing your chauvinistic nature at such a young age. I wonder how you’ll find a girlfriend when you grow up."
Seth’s face warmed up, rarely arrogant, "I’m so handsome, I don’t need to worry about such trivial matters."
Even though Honey was often lectured by her brother, she didn’t fully understand these things, but she could see her brother’s awkwardness, so she smiled and comforted him, "Brother, it’s okay. If no girl wants to marry you, I’ll marry you."
"Silly." Seth glared at her, "Sisters can’t marry brothers."
Honey didn’t understand why, but thought of something else and said with a smile, "Yeah, Honey doesn’t even know if she can grow up."
As soon as she said this, the expressions of the two adults and Seth darkened, but Honey didn’t notice at all, sniffing the air and saying, "It smells so good, Vivian, what’s that you’re carrying?"
Vivian remembered her purpose for being there, "Oh, I brought you some chicken soup. There won’t be any little ones like you accompanying you anymore."
"Ha ha." Uncle Don laughed heartily without saying a word, his kind demeanor making it hard to believe he once fought fiercely for territory with a machete when he was young.
Seth noticed and tugged Honey’s arm, "Honey, let’s go play outside. Didn’t you miss catching a grasshopper yesterday?"
Honey’s eyes were glued to the pot of chicken soup, reluctant to leave.
Vivian timely reminded her, "Dr. Lawson said you can’t eat greasy foods, so this soup is off-limits for you."
Although Honey was a foodie, she didn’t want to stay in the hospital forever, so she obediently went out to play with her brother. Seth said that out of sight, out of mind. When she craved something, she should either avoid it or sleep, and she wouldn’t want it as much. It was a pretty good method.
Almost everyone, nurses and security guards in the hospital, knew this adorable brother and sister duo, and since Ethan Sterling had guards secretly watching over them, Vivian was very reassured.
Unfortunately, as Seth and Honey reached the lobby, they ran into Rhonda Sullivan, who was there for a prenatal check-up.
"Mrs. Sullivan." Seth instinctively shielded Honey behind him.
With just a glance at Honey, Rhonda knew the little one was sick again and maliciously smiled, "I heard she’s about to die?"
Seth frowned, displeased with her tone and expression, tightened his grip on Honey’s hand, and prepared to leave.
Rhonda, seeing his usual arrogant demeanor, got angry and grabbed him, "Didn’t you hear me speaking to you?"
"I don’t know what you’re talking about." Seth, huffy, turned to look at her.
Honey, seeing Seth upset, got upset too. Although a bit scared of this aunt, she couldn’t let her brother be bullied and fiercely stuck her head out, "I’ll bite you!"
The recollection of past events rushed through Rhonda’s mind. Not only was her hand bitten by Honey, but her belly and leg had also been bitten by Ruby Sullivan. Are these mother and daughter pair dogs?
She momentarily burst with anger, "You’re just like that bitch of a mom, so low even at such a young age!" She said, pushing Honey’s forehead forcefully, "Try biting me, you short-lived brat!"
Honey was pushed, her head flinging backward, but steadied herself after a few steps back.
Seth panicked, quickly supporting her, "Honey, are you okay?"
Honey bared a pair of her little white teeth, glaring fiercely at Rhonda, "I’m fine, I’m not scared of her."
At this moment, a nurse came over, "What’s going on?"
"Nurse aunty, there’s a crazy woman here, hurry and get her out," Honey quickly complained.
Though the nurse didn’t know the full story, she knew the Sterling Family kids, despite their special status, were well-mannered and wouldn’t provoke adults without reason. Seeing Rhonda pregnant, she softened her tone, "You shouldn’t stoop to the level of a child."
The maid following Rhonda also pulled her arm, persuading, "Ma’am, let’s head for the prenatal check-up. It’s almost the appointment time."
Rhonda, noticing many people looking her way, could only say angrily, "I’ll have Ethan kick both of you brats out when I get back. You’ll be crying then!"
She finished her sentence with a huff and left.
Honey got a bit scared, tugging at Seth’s arm, asking, "Brother Sterling, what’s her relationship with Dad? Will Dad listen to her?"
Seth held her hand to reassure her, "It’s okay, Dad won’t listen to her. She has no relationship with Dad."
Hearing this, Honey was relieved, "Hmph, next time if she bullies you, I’ll definitely bite her and show her my power." How dare she call her short-lived? She’s the short-lived one, she’s the short-lived old witch!
She dared not speak the rest aloud, not because she feared Seth would find her rude, but because she feared he’d be upset.
She knew hearing people call her short-lived saddened Seth more than her, although she never understood why.
Rhonda, unable to shake off her anger on her mind, found slight relief only after the baby’s various development indicators were normal.
"Doctor, didn’t you say you could tell the gender at three months? Is the baby in my womb a boy or girl?"
The doctor, busy filling out forms, didn’t even look up, "We can’t tell right now, maybe next week."
Though Rhonda felt slightly disappointed, there was nothing she could do. She rubbed her belly, hoping her baby would be born strong. As long as she confirmed it was a boy, she would definitely find a way to make Ethan kick out Seth.
As for Honey, she wasn’t worried at all. What’s a daughter who won’t live to adulthood worth? Besides, even her mom would soon be kicked out. What worth was Honey?
Thinking the matter was over, but seeing those two little ones playing on the grass, she couldn’t help but walk over again, wanting to scold them to feel better.
This time, Honey spotted her before Seth did, knowing she was after them, she seized an earthworm from the ground and ran towards Rhonda. Honey said with a smile, "Mrs. Sullivan, I have a gift for you." Before Rhonda could react, she flung the earthworm onto her face.
Rhonda screamed in fright, quickly brushing off the earthworm from her clothes, seeing Honey holding her belly with laughter, "I’ll make you laugh!" She hurried over, pushing Honey to the ground.
"What do you think you’re doing!" Leon Sterling shouted as he rushed over, helping Honey up, "Sweetie, are you okay?"
Honey, seeing it was Uncle Don, pouted and pointed at the malicious woman, saying, "Uncle Don, she bullied me and called me a short-lived brat!"
