Chapter 120: Hey, whose side are you on?

Valerie palmed her face. They were outside. OUTSIDE! Why did he want to create a scene?

"If I kiss you, will you stop this?" She asked and Max grinned.

"Why don’t you find out?"

Valerie sighed, grabbed both collars of his coat, and pulled him down.

"You need to show some restraint, husband." She said and glanced behind his shoulder at the two who were ahead of them.

Luckily, they weren’t looking.

"But I thought you liked it when I went rough without restraint." Max said, swiping her hair behind her ear and gazing into her beautiful eyes. "And besides, what man in his right sense would hold back when faced with such a beautiful wife who happens to be a succubus in bed?" He grinned.

Valerie shook her head. He would go at it all day if she didn’t give him what he wanted.

"Come on, wife." He leaned his face closer. "It’s just one kiss."

Even with his words, Valerie still wasn’t certain that he would stick to getting a single kiss from her. He was already wrapping his hands around her waist and attracting attention.

Who was to say he would not suddenly take her to the car and... Her face flushed... Repeat what he did on their first time?

"You have to hurry up, Wifey." Max whispered. "If you delay too much, there’s no telling if I’ll get hard or not." She flinched. "And with the way things are going, I feel I’ll get hard any... Moment."

Valerie glanced behind him again. Mariam and Tiana were already standing next to the car and conversing.

She glanced around. Though they were outside, there weren’t a lot of people so no one was staring at them. But...

"Why do I have to entertain your little antics?" Valerie muttered and Max smiled.

"It’s because you love me." He rubbed his chin against hers.

"Tsk, we’re outside so keep your word." She said, pulled his collar, and kissed him.

Max grinned over the kiss and placed his hand behind her head, deepening the kiss. Thanks to his hand behind her head, she couldn’t pull away when she wanted. And that was when she realized he had played her.

Tiana and Mariam watched them from the car and shook their heads.

"This is going to be a long and tedious day." Mariam exclaimed.

Tiana checked her watch, it was almost past lunchtime. And so she yelled,

"Son, you can gobble your wife all you want once we get home. Right now, we need to go. I’m hungry." She said.

Max finally pulled away, leaving a thin line of saliva at the tip of their tongues. He grinned, rubbing the corner of her lips as he watched her heaving.

"My wife tastes so delicious." He said. "I would choose you over food any day, any time."

"Please don’t do that." Valerie said, pushing him away. She walked towards the car, her face flushing in embarrassment.

She knew he wasn’t to be trusted. It was just going to be a light kiss but he deepened it, used his tongue to explore her mouth, and... Gah... She didn’t need to think about it.

Her heart raced.

"Now, now, let’s go and eat." Max said, putting his hand around her shoulder and she shot him a glare. "Be careful, that glare can make me hard."

She immediately looked away.

And to think this was the same man who held himself back while pleasuring her. Because he was oblivious to the pleasure that came with it, it seemed a little bit easy to hold back, but after he tasted the forbidden fruit, it was like a lion out of its cage.

Once you cross that gate, there’s no going back.

In the car, Mariam glanced at the back through the rearview mirror and found Max fondling Valerie, while Valerie looked away, acting like nothing was going on.

"Brother, you’re going to wear sis Valerie out before the year runs out." Mariam said.

"And what does that have to do with you?" Max asked and she shrugged.

"Whatever."

"Hey, whose side are you on?" Max asked but Mariam rolled her eyes towards the window.

"Whoever’s the victim of your bullying." She muttered.

He heard her but acted like he didn’t.

They had lunch at an Italian restaurant. After Max mentioned steak, Valerie began to crave it.

And after that, they went shopping, again. But this time, they weren’t shopping for prom dresses. They just wanted to get a few things together, like a lady’s outing and left Max to sit at the lounge.

They got home that day and coincidentally, Grandpa Leo arrived at the same time.

"Hm, it seems you all had a fun day." He said.

"Hi, gramps." Mariam smiled happily as she went to hug him.

"How have you been? I heard you’ve been helping your sister-in-law out a lot. I’m proud of you." He complimented and she laughed.

"Oh, stop it." She said. "We all know you played a big role by backing me up."

"It’s only because you reached out." He patted her head. "You have good decision-making skills."

"It runs in the blood."

"Let’s not stay out too long." Tiana said. "Dad, let’s go in."

"Ah, yes."

They were all heading in when Max called his grandfather aside.

"I have something to talk to you about." He whispered. They all looked at them, wondering why they stopped.

"Go on ahead." Grampa Leo said and they nodded.

Valerie glanced at them a bit longer. She had a feeling she knew what they wanted to talk about.

"Alright." She said and turned to leave.

Since Max was already making a move, she would do the same.

She approached Tiana and said,

"Can I talk to you for a moment?" She said, and Mariam stared at her, wondering.

Max did the same and now Valerie. Was something going on that she did not know of?

"Alright, let’s talk." She said and smiled at Mariam. "We’ll just be a moment, dear."

"Okay. I’ll be up in my room in case anyone needs me."

She walked up the stairs but paused, glanced at the two who were at the door and then the two who were in the living room.

What was going on that they didn’t want her to know?

Well, she already had her own cup of tea so it was best to focus on that instead.
