Chapter 119: I think it’s time to get lunch

Valerie and Max sat opposite Tiana who was scanning them from head to toe. She shook her head and sighed,

"You newlyweds can’t get your hands off each other, eh? I get it but must you make things difficult for the people here?" She asked and Valerie discreetly cleared her throat, with her gaze on the floor.

Max had no problem getting reprimanded. He looked straight into his mother’s face and said,

"She was the one who started it."

Valerie’s eyes widened. He did not just say that.

"I was just going along with my wife’s eager pleas." He smirked.

Tiana shifted her gaze from Max to Valerie whose gaze was still fixed to the floor. She didn’t look like she would deny it.

"Hm, I didn’t picture my daughter-in-law for the open type." She said but then laughed. "Well, it’s okay. This way, we should be expecting a child soon, haha." She laughed.

Valerie raised her head, having a little bit of blush on her cheek as she opened her mouth to say,

"Sorry."

It was awkward saying that out loud for something Max pushed her into. Gosh, and she couldn’t even say Max was the one who started it because she had been so hyper and impatient that she forced his cock into her.

"You don’t have to apologize." Tiana said and leaned forward. "But I hope you guys got what you came here for. Your flight will take off early tomorrow."

"Yes, I did." Valerie answered and instinctively moved her gaze to Mariam, wondering if she had finally picked out her dress.

Then, Max placed his arm around Valerie’s waist and said,

"I think it’s time to get lunch." He edged closer to rub his cheeks on hers. "Someone was crying about how hungry she was a moment ago."

"You don’t have to say that out loud." Valerie muttered and he smiled.

"But I do. If I don’t, they’ll never know how hungry you are." He responded and something about his words felt like he wasn’t just talking about the meal.

’Am I imagining things?’ she wondered and then pushed him away. "Mother," she called. "...was there a reason you came all the way here?" She asked. "I thought you had somewhere to be."

"Well, I did. And I’m back already." She responded sharply. "So now, I want to have lunch with my children."

"Hm," Mariam rolled her eyes. "Seems to me like you came to catch them in the action." She muttered and Tiana snickered.

"That too."

Valerie’s face slightly burned. Why were they talking about their private affairs like that?

This was all Max’s fault. If he hadn’t riled her up like that... She clenched her fists.

"Then, shall we go?" Max asked as he uncrossed his legs and stood to his feet. He looked down at his wife and gave her a hand. "Let’s go out and get something to eat."

Valerie nodded, took his hand, and got up.

Mariam and Tiana also got up.

Mariam held on to her mother and started chattering about how mischievous she was.

"To think you came here for that."

"I just wanted to know what kept you so long." Tiana said, giggling mischievously.

"Well, you got it. Did you have to send me in to check on them? Ugh, it would’ve been so embarrassing if I saw them doing it."

"I bet you closed your eyes when you went in." Tiana grinned and Mariam’s face blushed.

"Wouldn’t you?"

Tiana laughed. Her daughter was just so innocent and cute.

"Don’t worry, there won’t be a next time, darling. You have my word." She said and suddenly got into another awkward topic. "So, do you have any boy you like?"

"Mom!" Her face flushed harder.

"This mother of yours will help you snag any boy you like." She said.

"None." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

"Oh? Don’t you plan on getting married soon?"

"Mom! I’m 19!" Mariam exclaimed, feeling embarrassed by this topic and Tiana tilted her head.

"Hm, even better. Don’t you want to snag a guy and make him fall head over heels for you? He’ll practically be wrapped around your thumbs by the time you want to get married."

"I’ve had it with you, mom." She let go of her mother’s arms and stepped forward. "For the last time, there is no boy."

"Then a girl?" That word caused Mariam to stiffen up.

"What?"

"Hm, I heard that kids these days don’t stick to the other gender." Tiana said. "And you’re so strongly opposed to getting a boyfriend. Could it be that you like girls instead?"

"M-mom, where is this coming from?" Mariam asked, her face flushing a bright red.

"Hm? Did I hit the jackpot?" She patted her daughter’s back. "Don’t worry, even if you’re like that, I’ll still support you."

Mariam covered her face. She felt truly embarrassed. Why was her mother like this?

Valerie watched them with Max. She quickly caught on and turned her head to look at Max.

"Mariam’s a lesbian?" She asked, and Max looked down at her.

"You’re always so quick to catch on to things like this." He said and looked forward.

Valerie thought about it. How was he able to figure out his sister’s sexuality? Did she tell him?

"She said it herself." Max said, answering the question that never came out of her lips.

Well, that was understandable. He was the only one she could confide in, even if she was scared of getting a scolding.

Then, she stopped walking.

Now she understood why he didn’t like her dressing in front of other ladies. Just as she didn’t know Mariam was a lesbian, she wouldn’t know if the other ladies were as well.

But what did it matter? It’s not like they would try to do anything with her simply because they liked her gender and she exposed her body to them.

"You were just being petty." She subconsciously muttered.

"What was that?" He asked but she kept her lips sealed. She wanted to continue walking when he stopped and stood in front of her. "Want to see me being really petty?" He asked and she pursed her lips.

"Don’t start now." She said.

"But I believe my wife asked for it." He said.

"So, are you going to stop me from moving? You wanna make a move on me? We’re out in the open, for crying out loud."

"I don’t care. I won’t let you take another step unless you kiss me."

Valerie palmed her face. They were outside. OUTSIDE! Why did he want to create a scene?

"If I kiss you, will you stop this?" She asked and Max grinned.

"Why don’t you find out?"
