Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 66: An attack on the house - I
When he turned away and made her face his back Evelyn could not help but frown.
What was that? Why did he turn?
"Um?" She cleared her throat, "Good night, then?"
She did not know if he wanted her to continue talking to his back.
He gave her a sharp nod and Evelyn stared at him incredulously. Really? She was going to be dismissed just like that?
She gave a silent scoff before moving out of the kitchen. Fine, then.
Evelyn moved out of the kitchen without a word when she heard the loud sound of glass breaking making her gasp loudly. Before she knew it, her body met with the ground and the impact knocked the air out of her lungs.
Evelyn felt a heavy load on top of her, squeezing her to the ground. The heavy weight on how did not allow Evelyn to move at all.
It was then a hand came over her head, keeping it stilled and kept it against the ground. Her cheek bore the impact.
A gunshot ran out making her whimper and then several did.
She heard another large thud from somewhere inside the house and then multiple footsteps came inside. This time instead of trying to get up and look at who it was Evelyn kept her cheeks squished against the ground. She feared for her life.
As each shot ran out with the voice echoing in the walls of the penthouse, Evelyn jumped out of her skin.
The weight over her remained and she willingly let her cheek be pressed onto the ground. In fact she was not sure if she wanted to get up at all.
Her heart was beating so loudly that she could hear it in her ears. Bile rose up in her throat and she would vomit any second from the fear that had grabbed her entire body.
The fright was definitely something new that she had experienced. The continuous sound of gunshots over her head made Evelyn lose control of her body and let fear overtake it.
A booming shot ran over her head and she heard something fall down.
Opening her eyes, Evelyn saw a man staring dead in the eyes at her. She blinked and stared at him before realising why he was not blinking.
The blood started to seep out and took on the white floor making it crimson red in colour. He didn’t blink, because he was dead.
A dead man was staring at her.
A dead man.
Evelyn let out a whimper before she felt like crying. It was too much for her.
Who was on top of her? Was it someone alive?
She would die out of horror if she found out that it was something on top of her, squeezing to the ground.
She tried to move before a sharp push came and stilled her.
She was dead, wasn’t she?

It was then that Salvatore noticed that Evelyn had stopped struggling and resisting.
He did not let go of her yet. It was not safe.
Raising his gun once again, He shot at the intruder. His aim was perfect, having been perfected over the time. It did not take him much long to take aim and fire.
His aim was set. It was right in between the eyes. 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
"Don’t kill all," he ordered the men, "I want them." Wass all it took for the men to understand that the Don wanted to question each and every intruder left alive.
Salvatore moved on top of Evelyn and stood up before throwing himself on top of another intruder that they had to come close to her. It tackled him to the ground and banged his head against the tile knocking him out on the.
This one was his. After all, he held a knife attack on Evelyn.
The entire apartment was in chaos. Not only did the glass was smashed, the entire house was red with the blood of the fallen.
The fallen who had attacked them.
It all happened in a jiffy, much quicker anyone want think of.
Salvatore had a fucking hard-on by looking Evelyn and he had turned his back on her. The moment he heard of the glass break, he knew by the noice that it was the dining room glass breaking. No other glass would make that big of an impact.
His first instinct was to look out for Evelyn was rather shocked and frozen. He moved towards her in record speed and just as he did, he saw the other man enter; the one he did not recognise.
His hand reached to his waist band where he gun was placed as always and he swung it into his direction. He fired two shots; one to his chest on random which decreased the agility of the man and the other in between the eyes killing him immediately.
The others entered right after him and it all be damned to hell. It was a planned attack on him.
They knew he would be here and not only that, they had planned to kill him in his home giving him the uost humiliation of all.
A don, shot dead, in his fucking house.
A pathetic— sratch that, the most pathetic way to dead it was.
His finger shot them on instinct. The aim was set in between the eyes and the finger pulled the trigger, killing them in one go.
Salvatore was preceived to be unmerciful and that was true. Here he was going to kill everyone.
His Soldiers arrived before the man charged to him. Their footsteps were heard after the lift doors and the emergency door was slammed open. The drill that was carried out for him had shown it’s bright effect.
Fuck, he cursed as she moved. He pushed her down and kept his weight on her. He was not going to let anything happen to her.
A man neared them and he shot him dead, making him fall down in front of him.
She stopped moving and he got up which brought it all back to reality.
"Don," Theo stepped forward, "should I call for the doctor?"
His eyes went to Evelyn. She must be hurt. He had pushed her down very hard against the tiled floor.
"Call one for her." He tipped his chin in her direction. "Hurry and clean it all. Hang all of them upside down until I come back."
The men snapped into action as Salvatore crouched down and picked her up in his arms.
He had to wait until the doctor came but he could also self inspect her for the damage visible on the outside.
He swiftly climbed up the stairs with her in his arms and as he did that, he glanced at ehr again and again. Salvatore look for any kind of discomfort that was being caused to her.
Opening the door to her room he let her down on the bed before taking off her shoes and inspecting her face.
There was some redness over the left side of face which meant that he was going to have a bruise over it tomorrow morning.
Fuck, he had thrown down on the floor harder than he intended to. He did not like seeing bruises on her. He fucking hated it.
It only made famous hate the situation even more than before.
Leaving her alone in the room he walked down stairs but then stopped just before he came in front of them.
Salvatore had a torn mind when it came to leaving her alone. Was it safe to leave her alone when there had been an attack on them? It was attacked at was very planned and carried out inside his house which only made it unsafe at the moment and unless until it was thoroughly checked out.
Having been left with just one option Salvatore walked back inside her room and picked her up again this time along with the blanket and walked downstairs before placing her on the sofa.
Making sure that she was comfortable enough by placing a question underneath her neck he turned to the army of men now standing in front of him whist hiding the fear that they felt.
"My house was broken into," Salvatore stared each one of them down, pinning them with the eyes of the don who was angry, "and it was a planned attack which no one of you was aware of."
"Start, this very second, about giving me the reason to why I should keep you alive much less in my employment."
Theo stepped forward, "They had the outline of the building."
Of course, they did. This building was designed to avoid any kind of attacks like these and since those made had been successful it meant that it was an inside job.
"Alright," he agreed, "then that means I have a rat and I have to do a thorough cleaning. So how about you start pointing fingers at each other and let me know which one of you is causing this ruckus?"
Just as he finished, a cruel smile came on Salvatore’s lips, "because I am going to enjoy this cleaning."
