Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 276: The Bianchi’s - III
Another minute ticked by his watch and Salvatore’s eyes went to the hallway where Evelyn had disappeared.
Was five minutes not enough for her to get the job done? It hardly ever took her so long in the house.
Female anatomy could not be that different, now could it?
"Gentlemen,"
Salvatore’s brows shot up as it only took him seconds to realise who the voice was of. Turning around he found the owner of it, Adrian Murphy.
Without a smile on his face, he regarded The three men that were standing with him. "I need to discuss business with Don Alessandro."
Salvatore turned around, maintaining eye contact with every man before saying, " kindly excuse us. We will catch on to our conversations later."
That was enough for the men to understand that they had been dismissed, it politely.
He had no wish to treat men like they were beneath him when they could be at par with him, the recent man who had stood up against families had told him that.
"What is it?" He frowned as he approached Adrian. "In fact, what are you doing here? Your business interests hold no value with this event."
Adrian stepped closer. "Come with me." He breathed in and out once before continuing, "this is important to you."
With a nudge of his head, Adrian turned around and walked out of the ballroom as Salvatore watched. What the fuck was he on to? Already slightly delayed, Salvatore now caught up with Adrian as they were both now out of the ballroom and going towards the lift.
Both of them stayed silent. Don Allesandro understood that they were cameras and microphones probably all around them which is why he did not question anything and went with the flow.
Only ones when they were inside the room, which he was directed into by Adrian Murphy, did Salvatore speak up.
"What is the reason for which you are in Italy all of a sudden, Murphy?"
Adrian did not reply immediately but went ahead to the table before picking up a piece of paper and handing it to Salvatore.
"Do you recognise the man in the image?"
"Yes," Salvatore agreed right away, "that is my father-in-law, who is now dead." He said pointedly.
"I know he is dead, Salvatore." Adrian agreed. "But do you know the man who is standing next to him?"
Salvatore glanced back at the picture before concentrating on it. Carlo Bianchi was very much visible even though the picture was slightly blurry but the man next to him was not. He had no idea who the man who stood next to his father-in-law.
"No."
Adrin nodded, and to the man standing in front of him, it looked like Adrian had been expecting just that.
"What?"
"that man," Adrian pointed to the picture, " is the face of the man that we all have been talking about. That is the man I’m talking about, I don’t know his name but I know his face. You don’t know his face, but you know his name."
"I don’t fucking know his name." Salvatore snapped. "what the fuck have you been going on about?"
"That man knew the father of your wife. In fact, I have found several dealings between them." Adrian stated. " Not only that, I have found your voice smiling and shaking hands with him. So I think you need to take a little deeper and find out who the man is Salvatore."
Adrian shook his head, "Because from this, I can state that your wife for sure as fuck involved in this."
******
What did you know so far?
That there was a man who had alone or maybe with the help of many powerful individual started human trafficking again that their fathers had shut down. Then they also knew that evidence was further linked to it with a man, who supposedly was the man himself and that his wife also might be involved in it.
That seemed to be the impossible part. The last bed, that was impossible. There was no way his kind hearted Evalyn could ever be involved in human trafficking. She had a trouble after telling on a maid, a fucking maid, so what were her chances of selling little children and woman and living with it?
"I don’t believe it, Adrian." Salvatore said after sometime. "I know my wife, I observed her. I know there is no way she could be involved in trafficking."
He heard the sound of shuffling and four he knew it, a few pages were kept on his lap by his friend.
Picking those up, Salvatore looked at each and everyone of them one by one.
His wife and the man were in them. In one picture, Evelyn was shaking hands with him and that was in a house. There was no way that her father would ever let her enter a house with another man which meant this was the Bianchi residence. In another, she was eating food with him but the plate of food was only in front of her.
The next few were similar in nature. For someone, who wanted to point out the relationship between them, he could easily miss the point that he was seeing.
"Adrian," Salvatore sighed, "you look at each one of them carefully enough, you will find one way or the other, the man is just in there for a fleeting moment, maybe 10 minutes or 20. But he did not stay. The plate of food, it was in front of her and not him. So they did not share a meal. The house had to be her father’s house so once again she did not go with him and he met with her father. The other photos can be proved just as well. So what’s your point?"
Adrian stared at his friend. He was seeing what he wanted to see, not what he wanted to show. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
"I know that, but that’s not my point. My point is, she knew him. Which means she probably knows his name, his address and whatever the fuck we need to find him. That is what I’m saying, we need your wife."
"Fuck no." Salvatore shook his head. " There is no way in hell that I am involving Evelyn in this. She stays away as far as she can from all of this."
Adrian scoffed before he narrowed his eyes, "we’ll see then."
