Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 158: Her Bella - II

She tightened the harness of the baby carrier on her chest. After tightening it and making sure that it would not fall down she placed her baby inside.

"Hello you," she teased Bella who laughed gleefully.

"Momma," Bella babbled along with a few incorrigible words that she had recently seen on the phone via videos.

Smiling at her baby, Evelyn stepped outside the door before locking it short. She had installed additional locks just to make sure that it was going to be safe when she would enter.

Also, she had not forgotten to add a piece of paper in between if the door was opened.

The building that she now lived in was not the best one and the safest amongst all but it was all she could afford. She had to make sure that they had enough money in the bank and in cash so that if anything ever happened they would be able to run away without a second thought.

Exiting the main gate of the building, she stepped onto the cold London Air. It was chilly especially when it was cloudy and as an involuntary action her hands immediately went to cover the bubbling baby’s head.

She walked and crossed the road only to come to a stop in front of the tube station and patiently waited in line. She had a card, and there was a regular investment.

Boarding the tube she was created by a dozen people inside. None of them bothered to give her their seat seeing that she was clearly with the trial but Evelyn did not bother.

She happened to be doing this for a long time and she had no problem in doing so while holding her lovely child.

They came to a stop in front of the supermarket. This one was the cheapest one and had better goods.

Also the fact that it was right next to the Asian supermarket. They had better ingredients and the recipes were perfect along with the nutrients and goodness brought inside them. It was a cheaper way and much more healthy which Evelyn had lately chosen as an alternative because of the piling bills.

Recent favorite happened to be Indian. Especially rice.

There was something about it that she craved. She could eat rice for every single day of her life and not get bored with it. On the other hand, it was her daughter who loves to have something else with it.

Bella on the other hand also loved coming to grocery shopping. This was something that I will and realize when she had to bring Arabella along because she could not afford a babysitter.

"This," she pointed her chubby finger to the huge balloon. The balloon was bigger than Bella’s entire stomach.

"No baby," Evelyn said softly and held her hand, "one toy in a month, remember?"

That was not something she liked doing. Evelyn hated lying to her daughter but this was the only way she could fool her daughter for the time being by not telling her one what month it was until she got some extra money to buy a toy.

"Pwease.." Bella pouted and her eyes slowly glistened over making Evelyn panic inside a little. She was going to cry and it was going to create a mess and they were going to get more attention than needed.

"My love," Evelyn bent down and kissed her button nose, "please? Do you know if I popped the spell unit will go away?"

Bella gasped, "what?!"

Evelyn gave a serious look to her while nodding confirming what she had said was the truth. "Yes and do you know if you ever let the balloon go it will never come back like Juli!" She spoke each and every word so animatedly that for a moment she felt like she was in a kids cartoon but it felt natural to do it with her daughter.

"Noo.." Bella whined and the pout returned which meant that she was going to try again. But this time Evelyn was ready with another option for her.

"How about," she folded her arms loose and another out of it so that she could tab her chin and emit a thinking gesture, "when I find a Dino like Juli I could bring it to you?"

"Dino like Juli?" At the name of Dino, Bella clapped her hands in excitement before nodding her little head. "Please mommy?" She tilted her head a little trying to please her mother as much as she could but it did not speak past Evelyn that she was trying to be a sneaky little baby.

"I will, my love." Evelyn kissed her forehead, "I will. I promise." The words of commitment made her baby smile as she took each and every one of them in, basking in its warmth.

Evelyn pushed the cart making a baby smile and giggle at the small ride that he was getting inside the grocery shop.

"This or this?" Evelyn picked up two kinds of rice and showed her daughter who made the thinking face and narrowed her eyes at which choice to choose.

"Can I have candy instead?"

Nevermind then.

Once she had everything she could pay for, she played store all of it on the counter and patiently waited with her daughter who along with the cashier started to count the atoms and placed them into the jute bags that Evelyn had brought with her. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

246.88 the words for declared loud and clear on the screen that Evelyn was keeping an eye on.

Shit, that was £46 more than what she had intended to buy but the stuffy that Bella wanted could only be ignored for so long especially when it actually resembled Dino.

No worries then. The jacket she was going to buy for the pic winters would have to go and she would have to layer up instead.

She passed a smile to her daughter as he reached over to the wallet and paid the exact amount not having enough to over pay anything.

"Would you like the change back?" The Cashier asked but had not yet brought out the change. He must not have expected Evelyn to ask for the 12 pennies.

"I would." She cleared her throat as she said it very softly. She placed her daughter back in the strap that she was wearing and took the 12 pennies from him.

She gulped and the look that you received from the cashier.

Yes, she could not even let the pennies go.
