Chaos In The Darkness; Salvatores's Salvation-Chapter 146: The tabloids - I
And it was unimaginable how true the words were. Obviously no one knew what reach that Salvatore really had.
"Please," she begged. "Please don’t do this to me. You can do anything but give those things to anyone else."
Having things being taken away from her that were gifted to her by Salvatore would make a huge statement on their relationship. Not only would it mean, he was taking everything back that he had given her, it would mean that their relationship was effectively over for her.
"Please don’t do this.."
He chuckled before sobered up. "Marco!" He screamed at the top of his voice making Evelyn jump.
Moments later Evelyn heard footsteps of two people. Marco descended down the stairs along with the woman who Salvatore had brought into their house. This time the woman looked ready to leave the house fully dressed to the nines.
Evelyn could not help but move her eyes on the woman to take in her appearance.
The sleeveless blue velvet dress looked gorgeous on her, especially with the emerald necklace that belonged to next Evelyn that was dangling on her slim neck.
It belonged to Evelyn. Past tense.
Now it belongs to someone else. someone who is more beautiful and holds the attention of a husband more than Evelyn ever did.
"Please.." Evelyn begged as her eyes moved to her husband who was already looking at her. "Please don’t do this."
It hurt her more knowing that it was happening in front of uer. Had it been happening behind her back, Evelyn would not have given a care to it but now that it was happening in front of her eyes and in her home it hurts more than ever.
It pinched her heart and twisted into an ugly position that brought her only pain.
"No," he whispered to her, "you lost the right to even beg in front of me Evelyn."
Her lower lip trembled dangerously and she couldn’t take it anymore. Evelyn took two steps away from him before she looked at it again and hoped that he would consider it again.
She really hoped that he would not go through with it and somehow he would stop it all and she could actually think of restoring the relationship that they once had for just a week.
But Salvatore’s face remained impassive. It was as if he had made up his mind that he would not even be considered in the slightest.
"Please.." she begged verbally, resorting to something that was once so beneath her now finding it to be the only option.
He chuckled and took his head. "I can’t, Evelyn. No matter how much you beg me, I’m not going to be considered any of this."
Har begging was more about the word or whispering then so that the words state in between them but Salvatore did not give a damn and spoke like a true leader would. He did not give a damn to who was hearing the conversation but she did.
The woman wearing the blue velvet dress that she had chosen and an emerald necklace given to her by her husband was listening to the conversation and she was staring right at Evelyn.
If Evelyn was not humiliated enough that this was a statement horrified her.
Just when Evelyn moved her eyes to the woman she found Mikayla to be already looking at her which made Evelyn take her eyes away in an instant. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
The woman was looking at her. The woman was listening to everything that’s happening with them and this was the right moment for Evelyn to die. Perhaps, God would be merciful and open up the ground for her to be swallowed in.
She wiped her tears or those that had left a trail behind on her cheeks.
Feeling desperate enough to hide the fact that she had cried over any of this, ended her to think clearly at this point. Here Evelyn would do anything to not face the humiliation of being disrespected in front of her husband’s mistress.
"Please.." she sniffed turning her eyes to him and step includes a so that her words would not be able to be heard by anyone. "Please don’t do this to me. I would do anything to—"
"To what Evelyn?" He whispered, silencing her. "You know what my problem is," his eyes flashed to her stomach, "you know what is causing all of this. You are very well aware of the route cause. So why don’t you tell me what you are willing to do?"
She very well knew where he was going out but Evelyn was not ready to be that willing to commit such a crime.
She was not ready to acknowledge the fact that there was something belonging to someone else inside her, much less something that she could actually get rid of.
How did he expect her to take such a bold step?
But of course he thought of doing that. It was obvious that it was the easiest thing for him to have done.
He was ok with killing people and getting them killed on his whims and demand but not of her. Evelyn had never witnessed a killing much less even thought of getting someone killed just because she wanted it to happen.
"I don’t think I would be able to do what you are asking me to do." She whispered words very discreetly. "It is too much of an ask Salvatore. Please, reconsider your words."
He sighed loudly before he turned to the woman and snapped his fingers at her making her come forward and stand beside him.
He then turned to look at Evelyn before he leaned in and whispered into her ear, "how about you check the tabloids tomorrow? Marco will provide you with the tablet."
Her eyes remained on the floor as her husband retreated back and walked out of the door with the women right behind him. Just when the door closed, Evelyn closed her eyes and let the tears fall freely.
