Chapter 46: Chapter 45:Title at the end of the Chapterzzz

"Alright then, time to take stock of everything I’d gained from this endeavor"..

I was currently alone on the bed, not bothering to get clothed.

Aunt V had run off somewhere earlier, something about dealing with the fallout of a dragon’s appearance,i honestly couldn’t care less, so long as she was okay..

What mattered now was getting myself pumped to see what this endeavor had gotten me, you know, besides the flipped worldview and past trauma resurfacing...

So with no further ado..

System..

[DINGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!]

The system’s sound told me all I needed to know before even opening it, the impact of the sound already said I’d done something I shouldn’t have been able to.

I smiled, "lay it on me then.." and then chaos..

[You’ve slain: [EVOLVED]<Storm dragon(50% bloodline purity)(Pseduo-S)>... you have received 15,000,000 Exp....]

{Threshold reached.. Rank up to continue leveling up..}

The very first notification made me pause..

That was a lot of zeros, just what the hell? At this point, leveling up will basically lose all meaning for me..

But then..

50% purity? [Evolved]? What the hell was all that?

"System, what the hell am I reading?" I couldn’t help asking out loud..

[responding... the host’s slain opponent was not a pure bloodline dragon but a Wyvern with traces of dragon blood, an evolution was triggered during confrontation with host, leading to the creature unlocking parts of its bloodline]

"Damn.." so that thing wasn’t even a full blooded dragon? And it almost unalived me? Then just what the hell are true dragons? Worse yet, what the hell are the drakens that actually hunt such monstrous creatures?

The reality of things just made it even more jarring just how difficult the task I set for myself was..

"It doesn’t matter. It’s never did" I reaffirmed..

"Let’s keep going.."

[You have slain a creature undergoing TRUE evolution.. You have received 10,000,000 exp...

{Threshold reached.. Rank up to continue leveling up..}

[Cross tier kill detected. Exp gain +500%]

Yea...

My breath couldn’t help stilling for a moment...

15mil exp? 10mil exp? Another 500% gain?

Did killing pseudo S-rank creatures really pack this much weight? Or did the existence level of the creature itself play an important role in this?

After all, expecting an A-rank goblin king to be as powerful as something from the draconic lineage is quite frankly foolish..

"So it seems, it’s not just the mutation or evolution, but the existence level of creatures that determine just how much I’d get from killing them huh?" That was good to know..

The greater the existence, the more the returns...

As for calculating my current experience points reserves? "Too much work"..

I’ll get to calculating them when I rank up...

"Moving on.."

[Ding!]

[Your skill <War God Ascension(S)> has evolved under the effects of <LIMIT BREAKER>...]

[skill <War God Ascension(S)> -> <Divine Apotheosis(SS)>....

The first skill to taste the effects of my Limit Breaker Title..

I didn’t think I’d get to experience the wonders of such a broken title during such an intense moment, but it saved me from failing miserably..

I hadn’t had the time and mind to bother checking the skill’s effects fully back then, merely using them instinctively as Chaotic comprehension and Adaptation worked in the background.

So now it was finally time to check out the skill’s true effects..

———-

<Divine Apotheosis(SS)>:

Description: A transcendent state where the user becomes a living embodiment of war itself, channeling unbridled destruction and unmatched combat mastery. This state pushes the user beyond mortal limits, achieving god-like prowess.

Effects:

War God State:

- +1000% strength

- +600% speed

- +400% endurance

- Pain and fatigue become irrelevant, with instant regeneration of moderate wounds

Battle Instinct:

- Senses sharpen to supernatural levels, allowing:

- Prediction of enemy movements with near-omniscience

- Reactions faster than thought, bordering on precognition

- Attacks become an extension of the user’s will, achieving unparalleled efficiency

Aura of Carnage:

- Enemies within range experience:

- Crushing fear, potentially inducing panic or paralysis

- Hesitation and disorientation

- Weakened morale, with potential defection or surrender

- Weaker enemies are annihilated instantly, while stronger ones are severely crippled

Divine Momentum:

- Each consecutive hit increases the user’s power by 10% for 10 seconds (stacks up to 10 times)

- Critical hits grant temporary invincibility (1 second)

Cost: 50,000 MP/second

————-

"Damn..."

I was shocked speechless..

The skill was a far cry from its S-rank counterpart.. just the increased boosts already made a huge difference, no wonder I felt an overwhelming surge in strength when the skill evolved..

But beyond that was the effects the skill itself had..

Near-omniscience perception? Precognitive abilities?

No wonder I could move and react before the storm dragon even had the chance to land a hit..

If it hadn’t been for such a drastic shift in my skill, I’d have been telling another story by now, if there was an after for me..

"Well, you saved me big time.." I couldn’t help muttering, after all, the boost I got from this skill was what held me up long enough for my other abilities to start catching up. Speaking of catching up.

"This is the best time to check out my Chaotic Adaptation ability, isn’t it?" after all, the ability seemed to have been overwhelmed during the confrontation, forcing a change in it’s functional state..

....

<Chaotic Adaptation>:

What doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger. Adapt infinitely during combat..

...

That what’s the ability said earlier. I’d gone ahead of myself thinking I’d become impossible to beat, but it seems fighting something WAY ABOVE my pay grade was too much for the ability..

"Let’s see what changed then.." thinking this, I willed the ability’s new details up..

......

<Chaotic Adaptation>:

(Partial Evolution State)

New Effects:

Internal Optimization Mode:

When opponent exceeds adaptation threshold:

Enhances user’s own abilities instead

Improves:

Skill efficiency..

Energy usage..

Structural output..

Skill Refinement Loop:

Repeated usage of abilities leads to:

Faster activation..

Reduced CE cost..

Increased output stability..

Synergy Amplification:

Skills begin to interact more efficiently

Reduces friction between: 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

Strength buffs...

DefenseMovement..

Energy flow...

Delayed External Adaptation

Adapt to enemies only when:

User survives long enough that threat becomes "processable"...

.....

"Well fuck you too you dumbass system"..

The more structured definition of the ability felt like something that should’ve been there from the very beginning..

After all, telling someone what doesn’t kill, only makes you stronger.. is very misleading, you didn’t expect me to actually believe there’d be a threshold right? Especially not when this system had been bitching about being the beginning and end of all things in creation..

Now it’s saying adapts to enemies only if I’m alive long enough for the enemy to be processable..

Wasn’t that basically calling me dumb for thinking I could just stand there and take whatever was dished at me like a champ?

"Fucking dumbass, explain things properly next time.." I honestly felt like punching this sham system...

Hooooooo...breathe Dante. Breathe..

Since it all worked out in the end, there wasn’t any need to remain stuck up on the past...

"Now, before anything else, I think it’s time I checked on the true MVP of this encounter.."

After all, without this one ability, I wouldn’t have lasted long enough for my sham adaptation to kick in, for my sham comprehension to kick in, for my sham title to kick in.

Basically, without this one ability, Dante’s story would’ve been cut off prematurely..

So without further ado..

[DINGGG!!!]

Even the system agreed with me...

[Your Talent <Chaos healing> has evolved....]

My sham Regeneration(E) that got touched by my SON OF CHAOS title, becoming something unfair..

Now, it has evolved once again..

[Talent <Chaos Healing> ->.....

Even the system recognized the importance of this event as it seemed to still...

The world paused around me..

My breath stilled..

Anticipation clawing my chest...

And then..

[DING!!]

[<Chaos Healing> -> <Chaotic Denial>...]

A/N: man, an Ice cola would’ve hit the spot right about now, hell, cola and pizza, what a marvelous combo....
