CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 400 - 408: Don’t Mind Me
James Black was caught in the act by Jane Sampson, and as he looked down at the small head burrowing tirelessly in his arms, as if determined to create a hole, he couldn’t help but curve his lips upward and patted the dark-haired little head with his hand.
"I’m going." He paused, then clarified a bit more, "I’m going alone."
Felling the person in his arms freeze their movements, James Black’s laughter became even more pronounced, "Or do you want me to stay in bed with you and sleep a bit longer?"
"..." Jane Sampson’s heart was filled with ten thousand capital letters spelling EMBARRASSMENT.
After a while of silence, Jane Sampson pushed the man beside her.
What was more embarrassing was.
Well, she couldn’t move him.
His hands had somehow tightly encircled her waist at some point.
"Just do what you want to do, don’t mind me." Jane Sampson said to James Black with an expression of utmost consideration.
Not to change his daily routine for her, go ahead and run, and it would be best if he could run for a day, exhausting all his strength and energy on jogging.
That way, she would be relieved.
"Do what I want to do? Don’t mind you?" James Black raised his eyebrows and retorted with a question, "Are you sure?"
Jane Sampson blinked her eyes at the man’s ill-intentioned expression and uttered a sound of realization, "It seems I’m not so sure anymore."
Could it be the thing he wanted to do, was the very thing they did just last night?
Damn it!
This misunderstanding was really too much.
Jane Sampson quickly waved her hands at James, "Go jogging then, and bring me breakfast on your way back."
She paused, then deliberately added another sentence, "I’m hungry."
Those two words were said in a pitiful tone.
As expected, James let go of her, but his usually expressionless face was now smiling in a particularly annoying way. Sometimes, he was cuter with a straight face.
Jane Sampson secretly critiqued in her heart, otherwise, an occasional smile like this one, which made her insides tremble in fear. "Laze a while longer then get up, okay?" James Black stood up, reminded her to wash up, then changed into comfortable sportswear and came out from the cloakroom looking spirited.
Watching the person still wrapped in the quilt on the bed staring at him, James walked over, bent down to kiss her forehead, and then left the bedroom.
At the doorway, he could still hear someone cursing him behind his back.
"Nasty habit!"
When he turned back to look, the person who had secretly cursed had already turned her face away, her head buried in the quilt.
Ah, truly...
Only when she heard the sound of the door closing and James Black leaving did the person in the quilt quickly throw off the covers and breathe a sigh of relief.
It felt like she narrowly preserved her peaceful morning.
When James Black had mentioned doing what he wanted to do just now, Jane Sampson could really see the gleam in his eyes.
The kind of gleam a hungry wolf shows when it finds delicious food.
Unfortunately, he was the hungry wolf.
And yeah, she was the delicious food. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Jane Sampson stayed in bed a while longer, and when it was about time to get up, she did so supporting her small waist, her legs wobbly as she walked.
As she headed to the restroom to get ready to wash up, she planned to find time in the morning to go to a beauty salon for a relaxing massage because her body ached all over.
But as she held her toothbrush in front of the mirror, brushing her teeth, and saw through her pajamas the countless marks on her skin, Jane Sampson started to think.
