CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 252 - 260: Classmates
The man sat on the sofa with a lazy posture, holding his mobile phone. His wrist displayed an expensive-looking business model watch. He slightly furrowed his brows, as if he were pondering something or perhaps waiting for some message.
Perhaps sensing that Jane Sampson was looking at him, the man shifted his gaze away from the phone and looked over at Jane. Without saying a word, he just nodded, a greeting that was polite yet distant.
Jane responded with a smile and quickly averted her gaze, boredly watching the coming and going of people at the doorway.
Her thoughts wandered through her memories. She felt that the man next to her looked somewhat familiar, but she couldn’t remember who he was, let alone where she had seen him before.
After spending a while in the VIP Room, Jane was the first to get up and leave for boarding before the person sitting next to her.
Before boarding the plane, Jane messaged Daniel Taylor. Once she landed, there was someone to pick her up. Without any delays, Jane got into the car and headed straight for the small town. By the time she arrived at the hotel, it was almost 6 o’clock in the afternoon.
After settling her luggage, Jane first knocked on Daniel’s door, his room filled with many people, including the leading actors and other personnel, all listening to Daniel’s work assignments.
Everyone adjusted over two days and had recovered, so Daniel decided to start filming tomorrow.
"Jane, take a seat over there for a while. I’ll talk to you about your script for tomorrow after I finish up here," Daniel initially planned to delay Jane’s part, but since she came back early, he decided to shoot according to the original plan.
Knowing that Jane had arrived, Quincy Forest came straight over. Finding Jane sitting alone like a fool, she immediately snuggled up to her and hugged her. "Congratulations on the return of the goddess!"
"The annual King of Support must be you," Jane said, somewhat embarrassedly glancing at Olivia Chip and Alice Worthington, the female lead and the female supporting role gathered around Daniel. Olivia was listening seriously to Daniel, but Alice Worthington, whom Jane had never met before, also just happened to look up at Jane.
However, it was only a glance, just a second, and then Alice turned her head away with pride, a trace of disdain not yet concealed on her lips.
"That woman has issues," Quincy whispered into Jane’s ear. "She came two hours before you and immediately asked why you weren’t here. I thought you knew each other."
Jane was surprised. How could she possibly know Alice Worthington, a new-generation sensation?
"Never mind me, let’s talk about you," Jane said, raising her hand to tickle Quincy’s ticklish spot. "Alexander Forest’s sister, wow, you really kept that hidden!"
Quincy’s expression cracked in an instant.
"How did you know?" Quincy pouted, "That’s no fun. What did you go through when you were away? One trip and you became all-knowing?"
Seeing that Daniel was not going to finish speaking any time soon, Jane pulled Quincy out of the room, saying, "I met your brother when I was a child, might have seen you too but only a few times, which is probably why I don’t remember you that well."
"Why did you meet my brother?" Quincy asked, puzzled and inquiring.
Jane laughed at Quincy’s clueless expression, "My husband is your brother’s classmate, seems like they are quite good friends."
Quincy nodded in understanding, uttering an "oh."
Jane was still surprised when Quincy suddenly looked up at her, her eyes wide with shock.
"You’re married?!"
If Jane hadn’t quickly covered Quincy’s mouth, her shout could have been heard throughout the small town, to exaggerate a bit. Quincy was no fool; she knew she had overreacted just now.
