Chapter 1943: Chapter 1951: Swearing a Poisonous Oath

"I’m sorry, Brother, I did look for paparazzi, but please listen to my explanation," Jillian Carter hurriedly said, afraid that James Carter would hang up on her. "But I only found the paparazzi, I didn’t do anything. Joseph Shaw has been persuading me to let go of my grudge against Jane Sampson, so I didn’t do anything."

Jillian said, "Last night, a little past eleven, a paparazzi sent me a few blurry photos, asking me for five hundred thousand. He said if I gave him five hundred thousand, he’d send me the clear photos, and if I added another five hundred thousand, he’d help me find someone to handle it. Though the photos were blurry, the paparazzi was clear that they were of you and Jane Sampson."

"But I refused, Brother. You’ve been so good to me since we were little. How could I do something that would break your heart? How could I do something that would harm you and damage the Carter Family’s reputation?" Jillian cried loudly, "Brother, I really didn’t do this thing with Jane Sampson."

Jillian was sobbing uncontrollably, "I admit I found the paparazzi, I can’t deny that, but I didn’t do what they’re accusing me of! I didn’t do anything! I don’t know how these things happened, Brother, you have to believe me, you must believe me, I am innocent." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

In her heart, Jillian was both furious and mad, cursing that paparazzi more than ten thousand times over.

Last night, she really did receive a message from the paparazzi, but as an informant, knowing the real sibling relationship between Jane Sampson and James Carter, she didn’t think these photos had any effect.

Jillian felt that if she spent money on these photos, it would be wasted money, and once out there, the identities of Jane Sampson and James Carter would be revealed, and her one million would be for nothing.

So, without even thinking, she refused to spend money to buy those photos or have the paparazzi help maneuver them.

Jillian hadn’t expected that early the next morning, those photos would still get out.

They came rushing with unstoppable force, nearly crushing Jane Sampson and James Carter.

Jillian knew nothing about this until she received a gossip call from a friend; she hadn’t even fully woken up before she hurried online to check.

Then, she took the opportunity to muddy the waters by hiring some paid posters, starting the topic #JaneThe*****GetOutOfTheCircle#.

While hiring the paid posters, Jillian thought to herself that Jane Sampson and James Carter would probably soon reveal their identities to clear up the rumors.

This act of hiring paid posters was purely Jillian’s way to sicken Jane Sampson, entertaining herself early in the morning, because in her heart, Jillian didn’t believe this topic could have any actual impact or effect.

She hadn’t even finished enjoying herself and was still waiting for the two to reveal their identities when James Carter’s call came through first.

"Are you sure you didn’t do the thing with the photos?" James Carter was unsure whether he should continue believing Jillian.

"Brother, I swear, it really has nothing to do with me. If it turns out the photo thing was my doing, Brother, then let God strike me down, let me die a miserable death, let me be alone forever!" Jillian swore viciously. "Brother, if it turns out in the end you find out I did this, tell dad and mom, and let our grandparents kick me out of the house!"

Jillian’s words finally shook James Carter’s suspicion towards her.

After a while, James Carter said, "Jillian Carter, I hope it has nothing to do with you."
