CEO's Reborn Wife-Chapter 1911 - 1919: It’s Him
"You’re so far away, and just from a back view you’re certain it’s him?" James Carter teased Jane Sampson, "Have you not been home for so long that you miss him? You’re seeing him everywhere."
Jane Sampson pouted defiantly, "It’s him, there’s no mistake, I know what he looks like. It’s definitely him! You’ll see, when the filming is over later, he’ll suddenly pop up to surprise me. It’s not me missing him, it’s him missing me~"
James Carter couldn’t bear to burst her little bubble.
Who knows who it is, sometimes holding a person’s photo and looking at it, sending messages to the person’s WhatsApp every day, even when they never reply.
Jane Sampson could tell from James Carter’s expression that he didn’t believe the person was James Black. She had hoped to wait for James Black to come by, but after waiting a few seconds, he simply walked away, and vanished out of sight.
Jane Sampson was thoroughly convinced that James Black finished his mission early to come to see her, not telling her, just waiting to surprise her when she’s free.
So, even though she couldn’t see him, Jane Sampson wasn’t anxious and continued waiting for the director’s arrangement. After a short while, they began today’s filming work.
The university’s location was only scheduled for half a day, so time was very tight. Once busy, Jane Sampson temporarily didn’t have the mind to think about where James Black was waiting for her or whether he was watching her busy from some corner.
It felt like in a blink of an eye, when the director announced wrap-up, it was already past one o’clock in the afternoon.
The southland sun at this time could still scorch the skin.
While tidying up in the temporary makeup room, Jane Sampson asked Coco Edwards, "Has James Black contacted you?"
Jane Sampson’s question was so sudden, Coco Edwards was utterly shocked.
"Your Investor Black is supposed to be out of touch for a while, right? Has he come back?" Coco Edwards asked, puzzled.
With an expression as if watching her act, Jane Sampson stared at Coco Edwards. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
But after a few seconds, Coco Edwards still looked bewildered, and Jane Sampson finally exclaimed.
"He really hasn’t contacted you?" Jane Sampson said, "I saw him in school this morning. He’s planning to surprise me, but he doesn’t know when I’m done. Even if he doesn’t contact me, surely he’d contact you?"
"You said you saw your Father Black this morning? Are your eyes playing tricks on you? Did you see wrong? Or maybe you’re thinking about him at night, so you’re seeing him in the day?"
Which was pretty much the same as what James Carter said.
Jane Sampson went to change her clothes, put on sunglasses, put on a mask, and said, "You go back first, I’ll look for him."
Believing her judgment, Jane Sampson stuffed some things Coco Edwards should take back to the hotel, "You go and tell the director and Mr. Carter, then head back first, I’ll wait myself tonight."
"You really saw him?" Coco Edwards frowned, "Will you be alright alone at the school?"
"Isn’t this me fully armed?" Jane Sampson said as she waved to Coco Edwards, heading off alone in another direction, leaving the office building of the school.
Once she was down the building alone, she quickly ran in the direction James Black left in the morning.
Excited like James Black was just around the corner waiting for her to join him.
Jane Sampson wasn’t familiar with the school; after walking for about ten minutes, she unexpectedly hadn’t found James Black, instead she seemed to have gotten herself lost.
