Tomorrow is the weekend.
This was the information James Black saw on Jane Sampson’s face on his mobile phone screen.
Thinking of this, James felt a sense of elation in his heart, as he usually called her before going home.
So, since he was going home tomorrow, he naturally had to call her in advance to let her know now. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Jane was so engrossed in watching the shows that if it weren’t for Matthew Chip suddenly speaking up next to her, she wouldn’t have even noticed her mobile phone ringing in her pocket.
"Could it be Julie again?" Jane muttered as she took out her mobile phone from her pocket and glanced casually at the screen.
Hmm? James Black?
Jane looked around and indeed got up and hurried to a quieter corner to answer the call, unaware of the gaze Matthew Chip had cast over her mobile phone.
James Black?
Matthew thought for sure the name belonged to a man.
Could it be Jane’s boyfriend?
The name seemed unfamiliar. It probably wasn’t one of the male stars in the circle.
Or could it be the investor behind Jane? If you say Jane only has Daniel Taylor behind her, Matthew wouldn’t believe it. Jane and Daniel aren’t real siblings, they don’t even seem to be cousins. Was Director Daniel Taylor’s wife the reason he took such good care of a newcomer? Matthew found it unlikely. After all, Daniel was a well-known director in the industry; he wasn’t likely to be that helpful, right?
Therefore, Matthew always subtly believed there must be someone behind Jane. This person could be acquainted with Daniel, or perhaps, Jane’s boyfriend knew Daniel, and it was for the boyfriend’s sake that Daniel cared for Jane.
This was a common phenomenon among female stars in the circle, not just them but many male stars as well.
Jane didn’t go to the corner to avoid someone when taking the call; it was simply quieter there.
"Hello," Jane said, still wondering why James would suddenly call her.
"I’m coming home tomorrow," James said as soon as he opened his mouth.
"Huh?" Jane was stunned for a few seconds, "Going home for what?"
"Tomorrow is the weekend." James gently tapped his fingers on the desktop and wasn’t in a hurry to hang up this call, which he wouldn’t usually bother with a second sentence. After a moment of thought, he asked, "What are you doing right now?"

Jane scratched her head, forgive her, since entering the film crew, she had been living in such a way that she had no idea of the day or the date.
"So tomorrow is the weekend already, huh~" Jane mused. Time indeed flies fast.
However...
"I’ve joined the film crew and am currently outside the region. Are you heading straight to the Black Residence tomorrow? I can’t accompany you back to see Grandfather, please tell him for me." Jane thought James had especially made this call to ask her to accompany him to the Black Residence to visit Old Master Black.
James, on the other end at the guard team, paused tapping his fingers on the desktop when he heard Jane say she was outside the region.
"You said you’d make beef balls for me next time I’m home!" James said, slightly grinding his teeth. So, was Jane teasing him?
"But you also said you wouldn’t be back this weekend!" Jane naturally rebuffed him. She had said ’next time,’ without specifying when.
And yet, James had clearly told her that he wouldn’t be home this weekend.
After replying to James, Jane touched the tip of her nose and whispered softly, feeling a bit embarrassed about insisting on her own words, "How about I owe you for now? I’ll make it for you when I get back?"
