Her nonchalance caught the makeup artist off guard, and then she looked at Jane with stars in her eyes, "Jane, oh my God! How can you be so cute!"

The makeup artist, while exclaiming, reached out to pinch Jane Sampson’s face, "I’m falling more in love with you! I have to show off my specialty today!"

That must have been the fastest turn from indifference to being a fan in history. The makeup artist tossed Julie Sampson’s bracelet into the trash can casually, and with an arrogant hum, she shook her own wrist, saying, "Stuff from people like her? I’m afraid it would dirty my hands just by holding it!"

Jane looked closely and, sure enough, the bracelet on the girl’s wrist was no cheaper than the one Julie had brought to bribe her.

"You’re really a low-key rich and beautiful woman." Jane touched the bracelet on her wrist, "This one is pretty, I saw it in an advertisement last time, but it’s a limited edition."

"Exactly, a limited edition." The makeup artist nodded proudly, then let her thin gauze sleeve fall back into place, "My name is Quincy Forest, and starting from today, I’ve decided to be your fan."

Jane smiled and then calmly entrusted her face to Quincy Forest.

One makeup session, from base to setting makeup, took Quincy over forty minutes. She only sped up when someone came to rush Jane onto the stage.

"Incredible, is this a faux bare face?" Jane reached out to touch her face, but Quincy pulled her back, "Don’t touch, your hands aren’t clean!"

Quincy explained, "I think with your features, too heavy makeup would hide your natural beauty and charm. Since you’re going on stage, I’ve just enhanced the contours you need for the camera, emphasizing features on your original look. You’re already beautiful; you don’t need to plaster thick makeup on your face like others."

"You must be the girl who is best at giving compliments in this world." Jane narrowed her eyes with a smile, and under the persistent urging from outside the door, she finally picked up her skirt hem and left the makeup room.

As soon as Jane arrived, everyone else gathered in about two minutes. When Julie went on stage and saw Jane already waiting there, she paused. Her gaze fixed on Jane’s face for two seconds, almost grinding her teeth as she took her place.
